I had a similar direct rejection earlier this year when I asked a girl out. She just straightforward said, "No." Not in a harsh way, but in an understanding way. Her face had a look of sympathy. I tried rephrasing the question and asking about going out for different things on different days and she kept at it - "No." It was refreshing to be turned down so bluntly yet so kindly.

The point of the post is to work on yourself to become what you consider attractive.

What do savvy people do instead? They walk in and say, “Want to sell me that car? I’ll give you $30,000 right now. Deal?” What’s the worst that could happen? The salesperson might laugh and escort you out. I work in auto finance and I assure you this would never happen. With that high of a percentage of the car paid off in cash, the dealership would try to make it work somehow - likely with a few different loan options. Though they probably wouldn't take the $15,000 cut.

I look at it like this: Don't let other things control you - weather it's women, your job, parents, friends, whatever. Be self vindicated. This is what it is to be a man.

A good way to look at it that sometimes helps me is to think, "If a guy friend was acting like this, would I help?" It can sometimes help me see that I'm in it for the wrong reasons or that I've been a doormat just because she's an attractive girl.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
