1	Indian Guys Is being a nerd really a bad thing though? Who wouldn't love making 6 figures right out of college? IMO more parents should push their kid to "be a nerd" This might just be regional differences. Where do you live? 2	Indian Guys If you live in America and you're 2nd generation, definitely not. The vast majority (I'd say 90-95%) of 1st generation Indian immigrants have assimilated very well by the time their son/daughter is in college. If you compare parenting between assimilated Indians and a traditional set of "American" parents, there wouldn't be differences outside of certain cultural/religious beliefs. -1	Indian Guys Speak for yourself brah, I love the way I was raised. I wasn't taught to be a slave or master to women but rather be tough AND sensitive enough to earn a mutual respect. My parents have that dynamic too and it definitely hasn't caused any problems. And I disagree with all of your points except for #3. 9	Asian and Indian guys in the USA, you need to realize that your parents are trying hard to make you into betabucks. I think nowadays, the young Asian crowd isn't the nerdy, try-hard stereotype that people make them out to be, at least in my area. I'm an Indian guy (as you can probably tell from the username lol) at a large college in Texas and nearly all of my male Indian/Asian friends lift, are very social and relaxed, and largely RP. We date both in-race and interracial girls. You are right about the parental friction though.
