tbh framing feminism as a lobbing group for women makes their ideas seem more palatable. I don't honestly have a problem with feminism only advocating for women so long as: A. They are honest about it. B. Don't harm men. C. Don't mandate that men do anything for their lobbying group. Big ask I know.

I would think part of what leads to this is they are extremely ban happy, it is comparatively extremely difficult to be banned on really most other subreddits. You can very much so be basically a facist conservative on even left wing subreddits so long as you dont explicitly advocate for violence. Im not saying you wont get pushback but you wont be banned unlike the equivalent conservative subs. I think this is also as much as broad cultural and societal issue as a behavioral and individual problem. It takes a long while to assess peoples character, personality, and morals which modern dating does not easily facilitate, especially with the advent of dating apps and social media which both encourage snap decisions based on superficial characteristics that are immediately evident.
