My point exactly. I state an intent, and you make it all about you. Look, you just prove my point. As does everyone else. Don't worry, it's not your fault. It's how humans are made.

No, to was a final desperate attempt for something before a gun or a walk off a balcony. Enjoy, because I can't.

And I'm seeing the same infighting, hostility, and demand for ideological purity as I see with feminists. And political parties. And religion. And academia. And business. Humans are depressingly similar. Shallow, short-sighted, hateful, and selfish. I'm just going to check out of life. Not much point going through all this trouble. Thanks all for confirming humanity isn't worth the trouble and life is just shit no matter what you do, where you go, or who you see.

I thought telling a guy to suck it up or toughen up was male shaming? It's almost as if this is complex and society invented politeness as a way to smooth over these sorts of interactions. /s I'm seeing Boys Going Their In Way. Men can speak civilly and politely. Men can just disagree, well, gentlemen can. And if you tell me Beau Brummel wasn't a MGTOW gentlemen, you don't know history. He just had a gaming problem. And everything's a movement. But, you missed my point, which was that I wasn't a…

I found them. I'm not sure trying to compromise is a good path. I think a more general strike would be better. Essentially what is going on here. Just by going your own way, you're making a statement and enacting social activism. You can't do anything, or even nothing, without it being part of a larger process. We're all suck in the universe. It's a closed system as far as we can tell. Everything anyone does has an effect on everything else. You can't act in isolation. You're part on a movement …

I did address his points. Which was during anger towards newbies because they're not doing it right. Or all the way yet. Or his way. We have enough problems without arcing each other while we're changing. It's like insulting a fat person at the gym. They're trying. And insulting then doesn't help them. Doesn't help you. You don't need to provide active support, but being angry at other men for ideological impurity is just uncalled for. And there was no tone policing. I didn't tell him to stop. N…

Well, he did user all caps and said I was delusional. That's not very receptive to common discourse. And I feel I did address his points. Namely the entire crux of my argument that there's no reason to direct that anger at guys who are new and just trying to figure it out. It doesn't help anyone. Not in the context of a movement, but just as fellow men who have no need for conflict. Save it for the boardroom. And I wasn't intending to tone police. That's why I stated how I perceived his emotiona…

Just because I don't see how it's productive to be angry at other men who are trying in their own way? Ok.

Anger is an acceptable response, yes. But I'm not the one perpetuating the injustice. Yet I'm yelled at for just saying there's no need to direct that anger at me. Or any other guy on this side and figuring it out. That sort of hostility and prejudgement is what's pushing men this way. And it's possible to support men finding their here without coordinated activism. But it would not be through pursuing ideological purity by telling a guy that he's doing it wrong, and insulting him so he turns aw…
/r/MGTOW13/12/17 10:23 PM

And I would disagree regarding tone. Saying I'm delusional sounds like an ad hominem attack to me. There's a difference between disagreeing and hostile shouting someone down. You know, like feminists do.

So social activism for men's place in the world as people is delusional? Advocating for change their personal action is lifestyle doesn't dehumanize anyone. It supports them in finding their way in the world by making space for them. Given how angry you are about the very idea of a social movement, organized or otherwise shows you're the bitter one. No cult, just dudes supporting each other as they figure things out.
/r/MGTOW13/12/17 09:31 PM

You sound bitter. Which is fine. They're just no need to be hostile about it. We're all living in this universe, and none of are getting out of here alive. So there's no reason to find like this. I agree with your main point that people have lost a sense of compromise and sacrifice. Which is the ideological purity I was referring to. You realize that this sort of life comes with compromise and sacrifice. That's a core premise of the whole lifestyle for you. And these newbies come in, and first, …

No, that's why I said in how to proceed. If they want to proceed with accusations and an investigation that's where the investigatory agency should check that. The system is out of whack, but the premise of leaving the choice of next step to the "victim" is still sound in my mind. It's the next step that is supposed to check the crazy. But, I agree there system is out of whack.

It does up in the personal interaction most. Wanting equality but saying a man has to pay for the dates. Insulting a man's physical appearance and questioning his sexual prowess while proclaiming big is beautiful. It's in every little thing some of them do.

Thank you for clarifying. It sounds more like a civilian review board. They don't investigate in their own. They can enforce anything. They don't really even advise anyone. They just double check the police work to make sure they aren't hiding anything, like a rapist cop, or politician. Oddly, I think things could be good. Because they only pet they have is the media. I made an edit. Though I still have problems with am cops much the same way I have problems with all soldiers. For many, their intentions are good, they're just in a bad system. And it's a bit much to expect someone to risk everything to fight that sort of system. I just wish they wouldn't have started in the first place. For the rest, they're driven crazy by the culture, or actually started with malicious intent. And it's terrible that the system enables them.

I think I see your point. Not sure I agree, but I think I see your point that a specific person wasn't accused, so there wasn't a specific injury. Horrible individual problems come from individuals behaving as we describe. It's not wide spread. But it does happen often enough, more often to socially awkward guys that it can taint someone's perspective. Part of the cause, as I see it, is there is a demographic of men who are socially awkward. Partly from mental state, like being anxious or shy. Partly from being emotionally stunted from the lack of emotional education and development some men suffer from childhood. They mean well. They cert…

Not nice guy bullshit. You try having your school counselor meet with you over a sexual harassment accusation because you waited outside their class one time on my way to my next class to ask a woman out. 2 minutes while you wait for the class to be dismissed is not stalking. Nor is it harassment. She said no, I left to my next class with just an ok. But that is just a personal anecdote. Look, it's not wide spread. But just like there are some women who will go out of their way to be cruel to me…
/r/MensRights01/12/17 02:44 PM

Ah, but it can. I'm talking about simple stuff like leaving a rose and a note. Yes, grabbing someone, stalking someone is all harassment. But a guy you're not attracted asking you out in a cheesy way isn't harassment. Even if you might have thought it Goofy and charming from an attractive guy. You may not actually this way, but there are horrible women out there that do.

YOU ARE SAYING THE ACCUSER IS CORRECT. You provided a definition that supports my point. I pointed that out. I'm not sure what you're missing here. The definition of believe clearly states that "accept (something) as true". That's my point. The connotation in English is that you don't question and don't need any further verification. That's our whole point. The statement don't convey the intent that it should be investigated, just that the accusation should be accepted as true, your selected definition. If you just accept something as true, why investigate? Why question? Your intent way be that the accusations should be investigated. But th…

No, you said we need to believe the accuser. It was later when we argued with you that you clarified you meant to investigate. But that's the problem I'm trying to point out. There statements and beliefs of educated, high-minded philosophical and academic feminists are fairly reasonable. When you get the real philosophical leaders at the top, and in the past they make fair and reasonable points. They argue the Patriarchy is damaging to men, just like we do. No goal post moving. But you say we should just believe the victims. That's how you opened all this. Not by saying there should be an investigation and we should respect the verdict. You started by saying we should just believe the accusers. Believe them means just accepting what they say and acting on it. Not investigating. And no, people don't typically get fired for being investigated for most stuff. The firing usually comes because the court fucks with their freedom to work. Getting arrested…

It should be based on reasonable assumption. Met in a bar, reasonable to assume she's of age. If it turns out she lied to be there, it shouldn't be the man's fault. She lied about it and did everything to make everyone think she was of age. Meet in a mall, reasonable to expect the man to check.

Cool, if we judge people by statistics, let's lock up black people when they're accused of theft or drug trafficking. Statistically most of the people in prison for those tires of crimes are black people. No, the consensus is that accusations should be investigated. And we should let the investigation decide.
