The occupation of Afghanistan is more popular, because unlike the invasion of Iraq, the invasion of Afghanistan was seen as a defensive war by the US population. The Argentinian military really invaded an Island full of people who didn't want to be Argentinians and who were quite happy to be defended. It's one the harder wars to argue against in world history.
