Put yourself in circumstances where the likelihood of you being invited to social events increases. For instance, put yourself in social situations clubbing, bars, work meetings, volunteering and etc) and develop relationships with the people in those social interactions; and eventually, it comes down to a numbers game where you're bound to get invited to at least 1 social event. I agree. Those works were written in their time but in the end it’s up to you to take what you want from each piece of literature. For instance, being an atheist - I had to ignore majority of the god or providence related stuff. Furthermore, of course it’s a difficult thing to achieve - but still possible.

Read into books by Epictetus and Marcus Aurelius, or just the whole concept of stoicism. It really helped me differentiate between by directing mind and consciousness vs impulsive unconscious thoughts. Also, meditate - it helps a lot.

I feel the same way. My dad passed away when I was 16/17, and people often felt sorry for me knowing that my dad passed away at such a young age. And yes, not having a father around can have negative consequences but I put a positive spin on it; I took his death as something that made me a better person rather than something that would bring me down.

You can get his e-book for free from his website, in fact he encourages that you read his book for free first, and if you find value in his words, you can then choose to purchase the book. In addition, his videos are good source of information as he analyzes each scenario based on TRP principles. To be honest, I think most people that actually hire him as a coach do it as an act of necessity since they're so grounded in their beta beliefs (and because they can clearly afford it)

The funny thing is that after listening to Corey Wayne, I started becoming less and less obsessive with women and started focusing on improving and becoming the best possible version of myself instead.
