I definitely agree! Ironically, I felt straight up angry, mean-spirited, and upset dating someone more or less broke 😂. Even when I myself was broke and in a transitional, insecure phase in my life (just graduated, no job yet). I realized it makes no sense to be dating when I needed to get my shit together. I thought "but oh I could wait it out"--nooooo!!! I realized my anger at the situation was really my discomfort and anger at myself for lowering my standards. I cut it off after a month once …

I will speak on this in terms of experience... I noticed that a lib-fem mindset to relationship creates a short end of the stick situation in terms of being "given" what we want/need. I used to think to be strong and independent as a woman, I needed to refuse and reject any offer of help or pampering to prove that I don't need a man and am not using him. This is a perfect manifestation of the nefarious social contract as we see it now : "oh so you want equality????? well you'll have to give up X…

IN GENERAL: Having strong self-esteem and boundaries are the best repellants to men who want to use and abuse you while also allowing you to retain the qualities about yourself that you love: cheerfulness, passion etc. ABOUT FDS: I think limit what and how much of it you consume. I've shielded myself from Reddit for the most part (not very interested outside of the astrology/spirituality stuff/FDS) but there are posts on FDS that are mortifying (it's good they are being shared but it can really …

I strongly agree with this. You cannot heal and protect yourself without first alchemizing, accepting, and integrating the anger (bitterness, resentment, whatever it may be) that comes with having been abused and mistreated. You will never lose the positive aspects of who you are, in fact, they will only deepen as you value yourself and set boundaries that keep you safe.

"People can go through stuff too, I just recently realized I don't have to go through it with them. I also can't fix them, nor do I want to." ❤️✨!!!!!

We all have our low points. If you are a deeply compassionate soul, that is even more challenging as it is second nature to humanize others and forgive their flaws. But it's so important I've learned to extend that forgiveness from a distance, with firm boundaries, and keeping your best interests in mind. You can coexist as a kind and compassionate individual with a strong sense of your own power, worth, and respect. I say this because often I've noticed it is these qualities that can translate …

Almost exactly a decade ago, I was sat in a cab with my first high school boyfriend who offered (/bought) me a piece (/packet) of gum--honestly can't remember which it was but there was him giving me gum involved. I took it and started chewing. He responded with: "say thank you" and I simply responded with "no". And we got into a fight about that. That was the moment I knew it was done. Everything began to deteriorate from that moment onwards until I withdrew from the relationship and broke up w…

They only appreciate us for the value they perceive they add to us by gassing us up and seeing us respond to their advances, but never the value inherent to us that we see in ourselves, which in reality threatens them and renders their love-bombing and manipulation useless. They need us to need their compliments and validation. But to just accept the compliments and affirm it ourselves???? Nah sis. That's death to their mind games and abusive ways, which means death to their continued exploitati…

She honestly nailed it. Another misogynistic aspect of this is that they never once think: "instead of locking my daughter up or dreading her existence because it forces me to reflect on my shitty male behavior, I should become a better example of a man and teach my son to be respectful and kind to his sister and other women so that they can feel safe in the world.

This is so empowering--as someone who's internalized rage and anger for the comfort of others... The end result? Heaps of resentment and negativity. Expressing and honoring my anger has been a blessing in my life and has galvanized me to set the boundaries I need to protect myself. Thank you so much for sharing this. No more shame for feeling, expressing, and being angry 💜

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
