Would you be willing to give me your contact info by any chance (in the DMs, I can prove that I’m a girl) 😭 I’m struggling with my CS class, so it would be lovely to have someone to guide me sometimes

My best advice is create security for yourself by taking care of your health (physical, emotional, and mental), beauty, and career. Convince yourself that you are investing SO MUCH (as you are, in reality) in yourself and your future that losing this relationship will merely hurt you. Meanwhile, enjoy the present. I’m not sure if this is effective but I would go about it this way if I were you!

So how do you find the golden middle in this case? If you could elaborate a little bit pls 💕

Wow this really is fucked. I remember posting a photo of myself in a swimsuit. To be exact, I was in the pool, with water going up all the way to my chest. The photo looked GOOD: it had nice background (mountains & the blue sky), surroundings, and I (along with cleavage). A couple of dudes were dumb enough (thank god) to tell me that they were SHOWING and SENDING it to their friends, complete strangers to me! They meant it as a compliment but fuck those kind of “compliments”, really. It’s creepy…

Why I no swimsuit pics though? Even if they don’t look like thirst traps?

I would dump him, too. The victim blaming part would turn me off completely. I’m sure you will find someone with more compassion and knowledge regarding the topic.

Can’t disagree with that! I don’t think they’re worth sharing this with unless they are deeply committed to me on many levels.

I like your response. It doesn’t have to be so fair to him, only to you. This is you looking out for yourself! Sorry for the late response.

Thank you for sharing, I greatly appreciate your help. I’m very-very new to data science. Would it be sufficient starting my learning journey with DataQuest instead? Or should I first read up more on the data science off of some book/other resource?

Thank you for this post! Also, you’re studying data science?! I’m trying to learn more about it, too! Are there any helpful, informative resources you could recommend? 💕

I’m sorry to hear you were feeling down today. We all have these days when we just want to reminisce on the past. But remember that you’re on the path of leveling up, creating a better life for yourself. That truly IS exciting, even if you don’t feel so yet. Best of luck to you, lovely! You deserve all the best 💕

I now wonder if it would be sufficient to leave your stuff at a dude’s house to see how he reacts. Sounds like a nice vetting strategy to me 😂

This is absolutely disgusting. He is full of shit and I really hope she leaves his abusive, narcissistic ass. I have an orchid — it was a serious investment, a commitment I contemplated for a long time. Although I felt like I would regret buying it, my lovely plant is still alive and means a lot to me. If a dude was to destroy something so special for me ON PURPOSE, I would leave him in a heartbeat.

If he said so, then I don’t see an issue as to why you should be worried on doing some chores. Just let him handle it himself maybe and see what he does?

I suggest you start detaching yourself from him too, since it’s clear that he’s doing the same. I’m sorry to hear that he is not being upfront with you the way you deserve to be and, instead, he’s just leading you on, etc. Please seriously consider letting him know that you no longer think you two should talk.

Hey. I too struggle with that and what helps me are Valerian root pills (look them up, you can find them at almost any local drugstore). We take them in my country all the time to help with managing stress lol They might make you a bit sleepy so be careful with the dosage but, overall, they help you calm down. I think it’s a much better/safer alternative to alcohol :)

Thank you for your reply and I appreciate your guidance. I no longer want to be around that person, so his insensitivity and fucked up mindset won’t affect me. I’m hopeful he will change his thinking one day, although that’s unlikely

That’s so fucked up, how they take advantage of your past traumas and could care less for your pain. I had a guy tell me once I should repeatedly expose myself to triggers to “get over it”. They don’t understand that we deserve to heal in peace.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy01/06/20 04:06 PM

Thank you so much lovely! I’m sorry to hear you’ve gone through the same ❤️ No one deserves to re-live their traumas because of someone’s ignorance and lack of knowledge

I agree with you. Men are used to mostly putting themselves first & have a hard time empathizing with people who have struggled. And thank you so much for your comment ❤️ he sure is not worth it

This is the exact reason I have literally NO desire to be on OLD at the moment. It’s disgusting that so many men hope to get laid during a goddamn pandemic. They don’t care for exposing themselves to risks of dying as long as it gets their dicks wet. Sweet.

I was shocked when my mother recently made a comment about how “high”my standards are. She was like “well, you want someone intelligent and attractive” to which I asked her “am I not intelligent or attractive? It’s not unusual to want someone who’s in your league.” The way people try to tell you to lower your standards is actually disturbing lol

Honestly really wanna year more of these stories!

This is yet another reason as to why I refrain from using OLD. A lot of these guys swipe right on multiple women at a time and then, based on your looks/their attraction to you, categorize you to keep for either just fucking, dating, or else.

On FDS, time after time we’re told not to respond to these – or ANY – type of messages from LV/NV men. They simply do NOT deserve our reaction to what they say. I hope you just left him on read and did not send the message. He sure as hell knows you’d be risking your own health - he just does NOT care.

My ex deadass asked me, and I quote: “How can I win you over?” That was a serious question. I remember scoffing and saying that his question is ridiculous and he should not expect me to give him a “map” to my heart lmao I ended up screwing myself over by committing to him eventually, though - did not see all the other red flags, although the aforesaid should’ve been enough to ditch him in the first place. Pay attention, ladies. Don’t give away too much information

So glad you are out of this toxic relationship! Know that it is OKAY to grieve it, so don’t be afraid to do so. I’m sure it hurts a lot and I am so sorry to hear that you’ve been experiencing so much pain.

I dated a guy who considered me “perfect” and, somehow, compared my good looks to his, which was weird to say the least. In those instances, I would get reminded that he is deeply insecure about himself. Although he had a couple of good qualities, I decided to end things with him. There were quite a few red flags there that I’d noticed at the time and decided he wasn’t for me. Ladies, little things matter - so be attentive!

What OLD app is that?

If a guy is a jerk and cannot comprehend that my trauma was not my choice, I don’t want him. I’d rather know early on. My mom always told me not to tell any men about my traumas or my pst partners. She’s never told my dad that she had a couple of traumas; it broke my heart - that she couldn’t trust him enough to tell. So how do you bring this up without exposing yourself? And, if he says what he thinks you want to hear or is good to say, how can you tell?

Wow. He really called men to “humanize” the woman they feel like is not the one. That’s very showing of how men truly feel about us lol

Before I found this sub, I was already starting to get therapy. I dropped all the guys that I had talked to and focused more on my studies. Looking back, I’ve realized I was unhappy for almost ten years. I didn’t find joy in things, suffered from an untreated PTSD and occasional anxiety. I forgot how to love the things I used to love. It breaks my heart, but I’m healing. Slowly, but surely, I’m re-learning to enjoy myself, my hobbies, my relationships with friends and family. This sub really has…

Hey FDS! Here’s my question, it wold be lovely if someone could lmk what they think about it: If you are on OLD, for instance, how do you communicate your expectations in your profile’s bio? If anything, which OLD applications are considered more or less for serious relationships? I’ve heard guys calling Tinder a hook-up app, while they loved Bumble (because they did not always have to message the girl first, which I find low-effort). Once the quarantine is over, I want to start dating/vetting m…

You don’t get cookies for doing something “nice” with your own interest in mind. I genuinely dislike guys who have that ducked up level of entitlement

But the block only lasts for so long, doesn’t it? Unless it’s on social media. I once blocked my abuser’s number & he was able to reach me after 60 days passed.

I got on Tinder to see what the hype was all about. Specifically, one that regards the new, free “passport” feature. So far, I haven’t had any bad experiences. My profile says that I am on it out of curiosity & some other basic info. I follow the FDS rules regarding matching/mimicking a guy’s efforts. If their responses are somewhat short - mine are, too. If they ask for my Snapchat or any other social media - I let them know that, at the moment, I only feel comfortable using Tinder’s platform. …

This made me so happy! I love seeing stories like yours - they help me believe that I, too, will meet someone worth my time and effort. So thank you for sharing! Honestly, I’ve been very proud of myself for leaving guys on read/open as they try to reach me during this crisis. I don’t think they truly care, otherwise they would’ve reached out to me earlier. Before, I would’ve replied out of being polite but now I just don’t have the energy to entertain them with small talk. I told a guy I would n…
