i’m pretty sure it’s just a bad joke.

I think it’s downvoted because it requires women to realize that the men they’re seeping with don’t care about them. 🤷🏾‍♀️

Same! Mine has been for almost a year! We’re genuinely friends who have sex and respect each other. There are positive stories too!

Yeah, there’s nothing wrong with sex as long as its healthy and consensual! It’s even better if it’s with someone you have some sort of trust with.

I disagree. If you do it right then you’re both benefitting. Casual sex with multiple men that you have a “friendship” with because you don’t want a relationship, or because sex is the only thing you’re looking for is great. What’s stopping you from hooking up with someone while simultaneously dating around? If you’re looking for a relationship, then obviously settling for a fwb situation isn’t for you. It’s about the mutual agreement that makes it beneficial for both parties. Unfortunately, y’a…

Agreed. It kinda feels like forced intimacy, not kindness

I actually left some of my books I’m using for my dissertation because we have similar interests and we were looking into them. I’m getting them back regardless. They’re mine. Thanks for the snotty comment though.

It’s my book 😭 I’m getting that shit back if I gotta break down his door And it doesn’t hurt to read this! These are my thoughts but I needed reassurance. So I’m highly appreciative. You really think seeing him isn’t a good idea? One last hurrah? No? Haha. You’re right. Do you recommend waiting u til he hits me up? Because there’s a chance we can never talk again ya know. I guess my only hesitation with text is being misunderstood because I actually valued him you know. But I guess he probably d…

Agreed. I’m most definitely going to end our sexual relationship. But he says they’re friends and I’m sure it’s for access to her when the time is right you know. I’m just not sure if I should end it in text it or tell him in person when I get the booty call text. he also has some of my stuff 😭

Also when I say friends... I don’t mean let’s hang out, I mean if we run into each other it’s cordial and cool.

I was neglecting his advancements because I am trying to be friends with him. I was around other people, not trying to pretend to be boo’d up with someone I’m not in front of company.

I just really rather at this point to continue to be friends and leave sex out of it. Which I think as adults (with mutual friends) we both can do.

I mean knowing him he’s not going to say no. He’s wanted to go on dates before but I didn’t want to. So telling him this is the best strategy after thinking about this a little more. It allows me to possibly see what he thinks about our friendship and not just ending it because I’m afraid of catching feelings. Either way, no matter his response, I’m going to stop sleeping with him.

Yeah I agree. But I also think he’s unaware. Because we agreed to just have sex. So I think telling him that our encounters are becoming more emotional for me is the first step. And then telling him we’re either physical AND emotional or nothing at all.

Thank you for this sound advice!

Yeah I am. There is no problem. I’m just curious of the benefit/possibility of more and how to maneuver that. Like what’s the value of making a sexual relationship more? That’s all. SHEESH

I mean we both agreed to have just sex...

That’s not true. I’ve had plenty of successful casual sexual relationships. I just didn’t want anything more than sex but when you get to know the person you get a bit more attached.

Yeah you’re right. Just going to keep it either sexual or nothing at all.

True. I’ve made up my mind pretty much to just let him go...

But you’re right. If wanted something more, then maybe he would bring it up. Which he hasn’t.

I don’t think this is the case. We both agreed to just sex and I’ve been adamant about not crossing the line. I even told him in August I was dating someone which was true. We just gotten closer recently where the lines are blurred and I’m not sure if he feels the same or why it feels this way.

That’s true. But it’s also just mixed signals. Why hold my hand when they’re around? That’s just weird to me.

Agh I don’t think I gave him relationship benefits, we were just having sex as agreed and then I just started to like him. But yeah, I’m just going to cut him off whenever I see him because I’m not gaining anything from this...

Then why bring me around his friends? You’re right though...

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
