This is mostly true, just to clarify, reconciliation will make things much, much, much worse.

Focus all your energy into developing yourself. Get to know yourself. Come to like yourself. Find what interests you and get great at it. Never rely on women to make you happy. Only you can do that. The real mind blowing thing is that when you do this, women will throw themselves at you because you will exude confidence. Don’t take the bait. Use them if you must, but never again rely on them to make you happy. You are at the start of a fantastic journey. I hope you connect with yourself and real…

Great Video! Since my divorce, I've been to Moab 3 times to go on bike trips with friends. I've done Kokopelli's Trial and the White Rim. I live in New England so that is like visiting another planet. Never would have happened had I not decided to put my life first. Whatever your passion, get out there and pursue it! It's your life. SEND IT!

You touched on something that is so important and that is having a therapist that understands the issues on a personal level. I would never see a female therapist, or one that didn’t understand firsthand addict behavior. It would have been a waste of everyone’s time.

I did therapy. It helped out quite a bit. I was in a relationship with an addict. Others that have been in similar situations may agree that there is a significant loss of identity when in a relationship like that. It can be critical to build new pathways of thinking. Therapy helps you talk out loud and basically build those new pathways. You get guidance from the therapist to look at emotions that are unhelpful and see them as such. My feeling is if you can adapt to a goal of self improvement, …

This used to be my life. I used to think I had to do it for the kids. I didn't. I was afraid that the Government Boogeyman would take them from me and leave them with my alcoholic wife. They didn't. You can do this. It will suck. You will lose money. It will not be fair. In the end you will be in control of your life again. (Do it now while there is only one kid in the mix)

Hey Man, thanks for the support. It really matters. BTW I never drink around my kids and have challenged myself to abstain from alcohol for the whole year. So far, so good.

This is great advice and more to the point of my post. I want to give someone witness to what happens in the US when your marriage with children is over. What is the cost? Women actually view us as income opportunities.

It’s wayyyyy over 1,000 per month. Can’t ditch my kids. Never in a million years. I just repeat, “it’s only money”.

This is probably the best advice I could get. I have been operating this way in fact for a couple years. The whole thing is a roller coaster as you all know. Some days you’re living your best life and others you’re thoughts are occupied by having to go back to court. Comments like this help get me back on track. I am still young and everything is a matter of perspective. Thanks brother.

I wish I was you right now. 4 kids, divorced, slaughtered by a female judge, and female lawyers on both sides of the isle. The only male person I dealt with during my divorce was the courtroom bailiff. You have no idea how lucky you are right now.

Focus on you. Focus on getting better at the stuff you love to do. Keep your mind on your money. Get better at something every. single. day.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
