I don't think it will fly. Granted, I've heard her department doesn't like her, but I still don't think I could equate it to blatant sexism. Besides, I don't want to risk some wild teacher toying with my grade because I voiced my concerns.

That's what I meant. Open relationships are a great thing for those that want that. Most people I know, myself included, think that closed relationship is the way to go. If you're in a closed relationship though, and you cheat on someone, then you are just a prick in my eyes. If you want to agree to a closed relationship, you should be prepared for whatever things go along with that.

I agree with this, but I needed an easy course to get my GPA up. I had a terrible first year (awful relationship and the aftermath) and I just wanted a class that I needed to get done and out of the way to get to the higher up courses in my major I am more interested in.

These have a lot of benefits and I think that it's extremely important we have these things. The only thing I had a problem with is this is supposed to be an introduction to basic theories, and this wasn't presented as such.

Some of it is, some of it isn't. I can see the benefits of using something like psychological profiling of certain groups for crime scene data, but even that needs psychologists and other fields to back up and be more detailed in their data.

That's what the video said that's what McFarlane claimed, but that it really knows that he's just trying to appeal to his "15 year old male audience" to get cheap laughs. I don't necessarily say that Family Guy is usually "smart" comedy, but I do think that it's a bit broad to say that the jokes were made to just get cheap laughs and that no one could possibly understand the absurdity of the situation.

Yeah I guess. I know it's not "quality" television and objectively I don't like it that much. For some reason though, a ton of people I know (myself included) burned through like 6 seasons in two weeks.

I've never read 50 shades. I'm actually quite versed in those subjects, I'm just kinda nervous just throwing out my sexual interests on the Internet. It just pisses me off that someone could think that just because I like that subject matter, that I'm condoning the degradation of women or the rape of women.

No, she's been pushing stuff like this all semester. For example, she taught us that some things shouldn't be joked about, such as rape or 9/11.

I definitely don't have a problem with feminists at all. I know several that are quite nice. The problem I have is that she was teaching this as an across the board doctrine. I know guys like that exist, but that's their choice. And for the most part, it's the choice of those women to act like that. Again their choice.

I'm thinking about it. I was angry. We all laughed at some of the family guy jokes or the ridiculousness of frat boy chants like, "no means yes, yes means anal". She got extremely angry, and said we should all be ashamed of ourselves.
