As already stated, depends of your taste... and the specific episodes. A few mid-season episodes are just so-so (like an encounter with armed rednecks, which I found a bit dull), but later on the series turns into an homage to the first two movies (haunted cabin in the woods mixed with silly sketches) that I personally found quite enjoyable. Well, yes and no. Yes, according to law men can be (and usually are) locked up for two days but AFAIK incarceration is not automatic and can be subjected to the specific case. I have heard from some police that if, upon arriving at the place after receiving a DV issue call, the couple seem to be unhurt and mostly calm, they prefer to simply give them (or rather, him) a warning and let it be. I don't know of any first hand case where this have happened, so can't really say for sure.
