I didn't know critical thinking is considered badmouthing, this subreddit lives up to it's name tho, I'm out

Perhaps he's a people-pleaser, they often suppress and don't communicate on time and it results in them indirectly pushing you away, then regretting it after they realise what they've been doing. That could also be the reason he feels like he should be 'making up for whatever' - bcs he doesn't feel like he's enough, a root insecurity of people-pleasers. He won't be able to fully commit to you with his all until he faces himself and his insecurities directly&honestly. But this is entirely possibl…

I understand you all too well, it's as if he's saying that he doesn't find worth in what you two have because he needs to get his ego stroked by entertaining other people which apparently is more important to him than being in a relationship with you, hence the lack of effort on his part..... Honestly, whatever reasons there might be for his mindset and behaviour, let him live the 'making up for whatever' life he so badly wants, he sounds very insecure. Focus on your life and how you want to liv…

(As I mentioned before, my advice is non-red pill, I find it unnecessary to divide things simply by 'man vs woman') Whoever reaches out isn't that important, imo, but the continuous effort towards reconnecting needs to come from the person who lacked it in the first place. You can't convince him to act right, you can only give him a chance to show you he wants to act right. If he wants you in his life, if he truly values and cherishes you, he'll show it. You'll see it in his eyes and in his acti…

I really don't understand why it can't be both, it sounds like a bs excuse to say 'I wanna do this and that, so I won't have time for my girlfriend'; who says it's one or the other? People in relationships experience a fulfilling and interesting life while being happily coupled up, sometimes even thanks to exactly that; having a 'partner in crime', the 'crime' being enjoying life in all the best ways it has to offer. There's enough time for both, it's about priorities, and if playing games or ch…

If you wanna take my non-red pill advice: Both of you need to have more empathy for each other. It sounds like he was future-faking you and couldn't keep his word nor communicate his decision in a compassionate and comprehensive way. But it also sounds like you were trying to take control of the pacing of your relationship because you felt betrayed in some way after you communicated your concerns and instead of giving him the freedom to show you he actually cares and deserves your trust&time - t…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
