So a hair piece would be deception like make up, right? What about if I had really bad acne and used a few products to clear that up? Sure the product itself doesn't show, but it changes the appearance of the skin in much the same way make up does. It's not natural and hides the acne prone genes. Is that as deceptive as make up? What about curling or straightening hair? Is that too deceptive?

Yes assuming he's not open with that fact So if a woman is open about the fact that she's wearing make up, it's ok? Are there that many people out there who can't tell when someone is wearing make up? Trimming your beard, shaving legs, arms, pubic area, feet, etc Yes I know. That is why I said my question wasn't exactly related.

Sorry, if the Middle East and Africa are my only choices to avoid feminism, I'll stay in the West. I agree with what others have said about developed nations having low birth rates. I also think the wealthier a nation is, the easier it is for the more obnoxious flavors of feminism to take hold. People in less developed nations have bigger problems than arguing over alimony and if drunk sex is rape. It's a correlation, not causation.

If a man is going bald and shaves his head to hide that fact, is that lying? Genuinely curious. I know it's not exactly what you meant by trimming hair.

Are you referring to DBEs, by chance? Whatever industry you work for might have a different version. I work with DBEs and it's pretty irritating if only because it's such a pointless hurdle that needs clearing on every project.

I know there will always be a chance I'd be promoted over someone who deserves it more. What I meant is that I can minimize that chance by actually being the best candidate, and that is what I strive towards.

I agree with what fiatlux had to say about fearing the accusation of discrimination because I'd guess that can be as big of a factor during the hiring process as an actual quota. It seems like there's a lot of people who cry discrimination when it's not warranted, and they can be pretty loud and persistent about it. That said, I understand your fears, OP. I am in a very masculine STEM field that I really enjoy, but I sometimes wonder whether I was only hired on to give the appearance of nondiscr…

You didn't need to post a study. I've seen plenty and I never said I disagreed with you on that. I am not interested in discussing it however. It has nothing to do with my initial comment, which was that your OP is a false equivalency. But please, go on thinking you know what I am going to say. Edit: is that all you have? You can only make an argument against what you think I believe, rather than what I've actually said?

No, we are not in agreement. My friends drank a lot in college (equivalent in my example to sleeping around while not committed to anyone), but have not let it hurt their professional or social lives (have not cheated) because they know that is "wrong". My former coworker was not able to control his drinking (could not control his desire to sleep around) and came to work drunk (cheated) and was fired. I would not hire him again (I would not date a cheater). Edit: To be clear, I am not trying to …

I agree that by the medical definition, a lot of it is alcoholism, but to clarify, I was thinking more along the lines of it becoming such a problem that it's a disruption to everyday life, and not just a fun thing to do on the weekends. AA meetings, lost jobs and the like. Most of the people I knew in college drank pretty heavily, and everyone I still keep in contact with has toned it down now that we're out of school. It was socially acceptable then to drink that much, and now it is not. I wou…

I would never date someone with a history of cheating, but I find sleeping around outside of a relationship to be different. If someone drank a lot in college but quit that for the most part as they got older, I'm not going to worry about them falling into alcoholism if they have the occasional beer. But I would worry if they had a history of being an alcoholic. Similarly, I'm not going to necessarily worry about my SO cheating if they slept around a little in the past. I would worry if they had…

She went to a bar with her boyfriend and then went back to his dorm room. From my understanding the other men involved in this case weren't even at the bar with them, but I could be mistaken. She definitely made a mistake by drinking too much, but for a small woman the difference between being pleasantly drunk and unconscious could be one strong drink. She was young, maybe unfamiliar with her limits. She made a mistake. I think she has plenty to learn from it, like not putting herself in such a …

No, driving isn't illegal. Rape is. There is no way the men involved in this case could've thought what they were doing was ok. Unless she drunkenly stumbled and fell onto a man's penis, I don't see how your example is relevant at all. And I already said she should be held accountable for being that drunk. Call her stupid, call her an alcoholic, whatever. She still could reasonably assume her boyfriend wouldn't encourage her being raped.

She should be held accountable for getting that drunk. That's unreasonable to me in any circumstance. But I don't hold her even slightly accountable for being raped, given the details that have been released. I believe she was reasonable in expecting her boyfriend wouldn't invite his buddies over to rape her regardless of how inebriated she was.

I don't follow your logic. The anger phase is not about age, it's about how recently trp was adopted by the man.

And where I used to live no one gave up their seat just because someone is female. On crutches? Yes. Elderly? Yes. Very pregnant? Yes, and I will grant that only women can qualify for this, but it's still more about the physical condition than the gender.

I'm a woman. Emotional infidelity is an immediate deal breaker. It makes me sick to think of my boyfriend texting sweet things to another girl. Sexual infidelity is a little less black and white for me. If something happened that was very "in heat of the moment" and only happened once, I'd find it very hard to let go of the relationship. I would not tolerate any additional cheating, though. I may be willing to give him a second chance but I won't be a doormat.

do girls put on makeup when they stay home all day? I do. Maybe I'm weird because I haven't seen anyone else in this discussion answer this portion of the question, but I will put on makeup when at home all day and not expecting anyone. Granted, I only wear some foundation and lip balm (plain or tinted), so it doesn't take much time or effort at all. I might also take a minute to decide on an outfit rather than grabbing the first shirt I see. I do these things because afterward I look in the mir…

Personally I am puzzled that you can go around convinced that women only value sex from extremely high value men, while at the same time admitting you're confused by why women would risk catching something by having sex (with presumably lower value men, since they have an STD). Have you considered that maybe you don't really know what women value in a sex partner, or that your assumptions don't apply to nearly as many women as you think?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/12/14 09:10 PM
3

Then your argument doesn't make sense. You're puzzled by women who would take the risk of catching an STD to have sex, but not when men do the same. I agree that the average woman has a lower sex drive than the average man, but I think plenty of women crave sex enough to have it even with the risk of STDs.

I don't think many blue pillers would criticize a chaste man for not wanting to marry a promiscuous woman. It's the promiscuous man who only wants a chaste woman that bothers people, so you're not really making an equivalent comparison.

Men get HPV too. Why don't they just stop sleeping around to prevent the spread of HPV? They can certainly choose not to have sex with so many women. I don't think you've thought too hard about this argument.

This! I haven't been very clear with my words but you covered a lot of what I want to say. OP keeps saying this is a hypothetical situation, and in his hypothetical situation the man would not leave his first woman for the next, and that the first woman would not lose anything in this situation. That's not how real life works. Child support is either a thing and the first woman loses out, or it isn't a thing and the second one loses out.

Ok, I misinterpreted some of what you were saying, but I think I get it now. I disagree that this is the best relationship for men because all men could not possibly have such a relationship. According to your claims, most men would be left out and would have no sex whatsoever. I also don't understand why you think women would pretend to be against being in harems. I assure you I am not pretending, and I would bet most other women are not either (most of the women who gave you serious replies se…

Most women aren't against men becoming more attractive. Personally I don't even care about the tone in TRP because I'm obviously not the audience it was intended for. I dislike TRP for topics exactly like this one, that imply that men should enter monogamous relationships with women and then lie and have women on the side. "Amoral strategy" is a cop-out for "I have no honor but don't want to admit it". Side question: have you seen the conversations (particularly on RPW) that if a man cheats, the…

Right, so 20% of men can get what they want and the 80% of men who aren't actually real men can just accept their biology. But the real problem here is that women would like their partners to be monogamous.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/14 10:25 PM

But he has more than just those two options. Also what is the point of your argument here? You previously said women should just be monogamous and men should be allowed to be non-monogamous. Okay, so women will all eventually find someone to be with, but the majority of men will not. How is this policy in the best interest of men. I would say it's in the best interest of men for everyone to be monogamous.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/14 10:14 PM

Men do not need to be monogamous to get sex. That's an absolutely ridiculous assertion.

Socially, there is. We fight our instincts on more than just this issue. Some people need to constantly fight the urge to overeat or eat calorie dense foods. That's an instinct, to gain weight in case the next meal is a long way off. Overweight people are often said to lack self control. I would say a man who agrees to be in a monogamous relationship and goes against that also lacks self control.

Please explain how a man is manipulated by having the choice of being monogamous or not. If he is asked to be monogamous, he has the freedom to say no. If he changes his mind later on, he can say that and the relationship can end. How on earth is a man being manipulated?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/14 09:42 PM

"Some men don't fit my theory. They must not be real men and are lying to themselves about what they want." There is no changing the mind of someone who will argue like this.

I wouldn't fuck Brad Pitt, I wouldn't fuck anyone else while I'm in a relationship. My boyfriend would not be taking care of a Brad Pitt baby because it would never happen. If men feel manipulated by agreeing to be monogamous with their partners, then they shouldn't have agreed to it in the first place. There is never an excuse for cheating. If a man wants to sleep around, I have no issues, but sleeping around does not require him to lie and manipulate women.

What about men who only want to have sex while in relationships? They aren't uncommon. It's kind of solipsistic of you to assume all men want to sow their oats.

My natural self is to be disgusted and hurt by him cheating. That's an extremely common trait among women. Just because the why doesn't match up to YOUR theory does not mean the reaction doesn't exist.

I don't know how you expected me to answer. I can't speak for all women. Some women are truly in to open relationships and wouldn't care if their man is with other women. Some would stay with a cheating husband. I wouldn't. There is no one answer for all women and all men. I gave my reasons for why I would not tolerate cheating. What kind of answers were you expecting? I give everything I have to my boyfriend, even when he's not home or is busy. I work full time and I clean the house and I make …

I don't want my boyfriend to share an intimate experience that I only have with him with another woman. I do not want him lying to me and sneaking around. I don't want to take the chance that he bond with another woman on the level we have by having sex with her. I don't want this other woman to try and steal my boyfriend away (and according to trp, she probably would try). He and I have an agreement that we stay faithful to each other, and if he doesn't like those terms, he can break up with me…
