Can someone point me to guidelines on where we stand with social media and dating? thanks!

Not sure if this helps but statistically a hormonal IUD is just as effective as tubal litigation. If you can’t get a tubal it is a good option. I have had an iud since I was 28 ( I’m 35 now) highly recommend!

Ummm if I were OP I would make him sign a cohabitation agreement specifically stating he is it entitled to any of my assets, my house, or anything at all. No commitment , no benefits.

I think your timeline is reasonable ! Based on my previous experience I’m not going to live with soemone until I’m engaged.

I don’t want to be panic proposed to. That’s just it, I want to be so impotent to someone that they want to propose. I don’t want to have to make a fuss about it

I am going to have a follow up conversation with him. But I don’t want him to feel pressured I want him to want it genuinely for himself ya know ? That’s why I’m so let down. If he is saying 4 to 5 years he doesn’t see that kind of future with me clearly. I’m 34 and I’m dating for a husband not just for whatever. I am kind of hurt. Like you think I’m just gonna twiddle my thumbs for 5 years? No lol

This is great advice. I made it perfectly clear before that 1 year is my time limit. If you are in the fence at one year it’s time to move on. He hasn’t had a lot of serious relationships. Not because he is an asshole and not be he he has fucked around. He just hasn’t . But it isn’t fair to expect me to wait around like that. Also I’ll be honest it makes me feel like garbage. Am I not a catch? Also I’ve made it clear I’m not living together until engagement soooo ? Like what is this? He says he …

Woooowwww this is so messed up. I've had guys try this online. No thanks, I'm looking for a partner not a project. What a sleepy way to try and get in someone's pants !

Also want to add, romance isn't a luxury in a realationship. It's a requirement.

Same. Also survived very difficult childhood trauma and abuse that went well into young adulthood. It has made navigating relationships complicated. I'm naturally a sweet, giving and deeply nurturing. This often makes me a Target or I end up being taking for granted. I'm sick of it. Romance or bust, treat me like gold or get out. I find I have made excuses for low effort or crap behaviour. You have to intentionally set the bar higher and that is difficult when internally you feel like you don't …

I was with a porn addict. If you are willing to stick it out I suggest therapy and him going to sexaholics anonymous meetings

Ugh I hate porn. I hate that women hating porn has become a weird sterotype and makes us "uncool". I hate porn because it drives wedges into relationships. I hate porn because it creates totally unrealistic expectations for sex, bodies and just everything. I don't want to have to compete with some strangers on the internet naked. NO I refuse. Why are we just supposed to accept that porn is part of a mans life? Why do we have a generation of dudes so addicted to it? ick.

Omg this is gross. If you are into that set of thing (like a kink) you discuss it before hand ? You don't freaking spit in someone's mouth ! Nope #dealbreaker and really disrespectful of boundaries.

This is amazing advice! Thank you so much. I have told him I wasn't available and suggested an alternate date and he went with it. I also face planted on the side walk and broke his very expensive fancy umbrella when we were talking in the rain and he didn't care about the umbrella and called a taxi lol 😂 So those are good but I'm going to follow your lead. Very very good 👍 ideas!

I am really traumatized from my ex. We were together 4, almost 5 years. I thought we were going to get married and the whole lot. He had a ring since 2017 but never proposed. I have health issues and let alot slide because I had shame over being diagnosed during our relationship. Well it turns out that didn't matter because he was addicted to porn and cheating on my basically the entire time online. I had no idea he had such a double life. I'm trying not to bring that into this new thing but fri…

Do you have any suggestions on how to proceed from this point? how to weed it out or futher evaluate? I have been duped before and am concered about it happening again.

This is a great response, but I would still proceed with caution. The current guy I am dating planned an amazing date out of the gate. Reservations at a nice restaurant, movies and then we hung out after via my request. We have been dating for two months ( almost ) he continues to plan dates, take me out and treat me very well. He asked to be exclusive, he shows afffection and so far seems to be a highly educated HVM. Now, it is still early, I am still cautious. However, most coffee dates I have…

I honestly see the merit in this. Marriage dosen't have to look like the traditional set up, big weddings or the pomp and circumstance. It does require the commitment, the love and the work. I also think having a baby isn't a band aid. I think sometimes men offer it up to redeem themselves. My most recent ex really pushed having a baby in the last year rod our relationship. He was cheating online the whole time 🤷‍♀️ no we were not married. The other issue here that I have myself been guilty of i…

My ex bought a ring and kept it at his mothers. He knew i wanted a family. That was in 2017. He kept saying he would propose when the time was right. Last summer I found out, he was online cheating on me for our entire relationship. Do not setlle for less.
