It was only a big deal when he lied under oath. All politicians lie, but perjury is perjury.

Exactly this. I was a fool and married very young. It didn't end well, as you can imagine, but I did wind up gaining full legal and physical custody of my child. She is now a responsible and productive young adult in her early 20s. For several years after my short first marriage I dropped them as soon as they started talking about commitment. I was always honest and up front in the beginning, but you know how so many women are. They somehow think that those words are meaningless when they decide…

If she wasn't prepared to care for children she should have used birth control. So should you in fact if you don't want to risk it. In any event, yes it is not yours so it is not your concern.

So you're not coming back to this post and you're changing your screen name? In other words you're just dumping it here to vent in the hope it will make you feel better, rather than getting constructive feedback? Meh.

While I do not question that it's one of the few fraternal organizations left, to answer your question I do not need something 'bigger' than myself. I have male friends, not many but that's by choice. I choose friends carefully and I hope wisely. I'm quite happy with my life and myself. In my case I do not need something 'bigger' than myself. I am the center of my Universe, and I do not mean that in a conceited way. I toyed with the idea of joining the Freemasons when I was much younger, mostly …

You are not to young to learn how to be a man. Read, listen to what others here have to say.

Good advice, and for a great many other reasons. I know it's a big adjustment for some but honestly, give up all the extra sugar that most consume and you'll feel real differences in your energy and health within a month.

All you can do is maintain frame and be a man. If she cannot accept how you are then you need to just let her go once and for all. That might sound trite and easier said than done, but it's true. If you want to find a mate, and by no means should you feel that you have to do so, there will be one who will accept you as a man and not want to try to change that.

That is often what hyperbole is for. That doesn't invalidate the point at all, of course. It's a good way to get people to think hard on a topic.

TRP isn't about disregarding women. If that's what you take from it then you've failed. It's about maintaining your frame and not kowtowing to the behaviors so many women engage in and try to engender in men. You disregard their bad behavior, not women per se.

Focus on the challenge. You don't have to fight him or dominate him, but that's a normal male reaction. Instead focus that desire into being successful. That's all he wants in the man he lets court his daughter. I know. I'm 48, extremely successful, and intimidate the hell out of boys who think they are worthy of my daughter.
/r/TheRedPill03/01/15 10:38 PM

If she is the one you want to bear your children then just maintain frame, be a man, and the rest should fall into place. Do not start acting all beta towards here just because you (or so it seems) are intimidated by her father. Keep doing what you're doing and you'll be where he is or beyond when you're his age.
/r/TheRedPill03/01/15 10:17 PM

Of course they matter some, but look at it this way. A man who isn't model level attractive but displays alpha qualities will get laid plenty. That same man who displays beta qualities will not.

Getting into a fight with some random asshole over a girl you just met and hardly know is rarely worth the time or trouble. There are plenty of women out there. Now, had she been your date it might be a different story. That being said, if someone tries to shove me they sometimes land on their face. Putting hands on me is not a wise move. In general though I only fight if it's a clear matter of self defense. I don't need a lawsuit or trouble with the police from fucking someone up.

When she said 'I'm going to go get a drink' you should have said, 'Good idea, let's do that'. You basically abandoned her to the next guy who started paying attention to her.

I don't go to a gym. I have various weights and a bench at home, an elliptical, a heavy bag, chin up bar, resistance bands, and a roller to do extra ab work with. My routine varies. I do stretching and cardio daily but I only do serious lifting 3-4 days a week. I practice various martial arts routines (kata) most days. I've been doing most of this for a couple of decades and it has worked well for me. I'm in my late 40s now and am in far better shape than most men I know/see half my age.

Cute, I chuckled a bit. You know the point was that if one needs to achieve a goal one should just do it, not wait for some arbitrary date to make a resolution.
/r/TheRedPill02/01/15 12:19 PM
1

I concur. I think perhaps I am just overly sensitized to all the threads that have been spawning all over reddit about resolutions. Your points are valid.
/r/TheRedPill01/01/15 09:34 PM
3

I see your point, but I respectfully disagree. The one leads to the other. Having the need to make a resolution on New Year's is weak to begin with. That weakness then translates to the failure most people have at achieving them.
/r/TheRedPill01/01/15 09:14 PM
13

I have always maintained that New Year's resolutions are for the weak minded. If I identify something about myself that I want to change, I just do it. I don't wait for some arbitrary date. That's the reason why most people fail at their resolutions; they are weak minded to begin with.

Don't obsess about it and move on. If there is a valid reason why she's not texting then she'll get back to you. Otherwise she isn't worth the time or trouble, and certainly not worth stressing over. You had some fun. Time to move on.

The worst punishment you can give a woman who is acting like a child is to completely ignore them. If they calm down and ask why, respectfully, then explain that you'll pay attention to them when they act like a grownup and leave it at that.
/r/TheRedPill21/12/14 05:54 PM

Why did you even fight with her? If my woman gets bitchy I generally just ignore her. Engaging in an argument is rarely productive, especially with how emotional and lacking of rationality women can be, particularly when they are hormonal.

It is a good read, but it just rehashes things that evolutionary biologists have been saying for quite some time. There are fundamental differences in brain structure in men and women. I won't go over it since the paper explains the selective evolutionary pressures (hunting vs. gathering primarily). The kicker is that modern feminism doesn't like this to be talked about. We are all equal and the same, after all, in their paradigm. Until we aren't. "Treat me equal until treating me unequally is t…

Anything can be bad in excess. The problem is not gaming or any other hobby. It's an excess of anything. If one is strong minded and manages there time appropriately there is nothing wrong with setting a little time aside to game. It is those who let it become an addiction and 'waste' countless hours that are showing weakness and are hurt by it.

My wife has a decent career oriented job (daughter is now 24 so that's not an issue). I make over three times what she does though, so naturally she does most of the cleaning, etc. When I cook it's because cooking is actually one of my hobbies. If I don't feel like it then she makes my dinner. She makes my coffee in the morning, prepares my breakfast, but she's not a servant either. There is a mutual respect and she understands the differences in genders.

My wife knows better. If she doesn't want to sleep in the same bed for some reason, which is a very rare occurrence over our 17+ year marriage, she goes to the guest room. When she makes more money than I do (never going to happen) she can dictate where I sleep.

This is true in all aspects of life. A lot of TRP philosophy applies to business as well as pleasure. There is a time to share and a time to give it out in little bits.
/r/TheRedPill09/10/14 01:41 PM

It works with men too; the honesty bit. Now, there are times in business that you need to keep your mouth shut, but I have found during my life that if you are just up front and honest, even if it is slightly insulting, you'll go far.

Those are all good and well proven, old tips really. Add to that how you speak. Speak softly but clearly, and slowly. Do not speak too quickly, and by keeping your volume low people will focus more on what you are saying. Speaking loud and fast will not convey any air of leadership. A combination of speech and body: when you're on a conference call, stand up and walk around your office. You will actually sound more authoritative. More on body language: look people in the eye when you talk to the…

Don't get me wrong. I spun my fair share in my youth. There is something to be said for settling down with the right one eventually though. I'm going to be 48 shortly. I keep telling people that unicorns do exist. They are just exceedingly rare. My wife of 17 years is an amazing girl. She's pretty, smart, strong, and knows her place in our relationship. She is not a doormat and is actually a very independent woman with her own career, etc., but she understands the differences between men and women. She is my partner but she also knows intuitively when to defer to me.

I heard in the news reports I saw that he shoved her but I agree, I don't know which story is right either. All the reports I saw do say she hit him first. He still should have shown some more restraint than that. She shouldn't have smacked him but nobody should be hitting anyone. I doubt he was in any danger of bodily harm from her.

Don't forget how ESPN fired Rush Limbaugh for pointing out, correctly, that Donovan McNabb wouldn't ever have gotten as much attention as he did were he not black. I am trying to digest why you spent so much effort reading things she wrote and posted online. I understand the part about having children, but you dwell way too much on her. There is a time to be caring and understanding with a woman you love and a time when it's best to be more remote. The latter is often when they are being childish about something, which can be often with some women. As with many things in life it's not an all or nothing proposition.

That's not really true, but there is some truth to it. It's not all about being 'born' alpha. Much of it is upbringing. My father was my role model and while he completely respected my mother he made no bones about who was in charge. He didn't do that in an overbearing or bad way, it was just woven into the fabric of his being. I learned from the best.

Great story, I'm glad it's working for you. I've basically handled all 17 years of my marriage in a similar fashion, though my wife never really did shit test me much. If it were easy to be successful it wouldn't take hard work and discipline. I've worked very, very hard to get to where I am. I make a very good living now because I fought for what I have through sweat and hard work. Be excellent. Be the best at what you do. The money will follow.

What I'd like to see is in the States that have passed laws saying a girl can't consent if she is drunk then a man can't be guilty of rape if he has what appeared to be consensual sex when he is drunk. This a thousand times, exactly this. My wife always responds well when I say 'no'. I don't have to often but I am not shy about it. Is it such a surprise that we have a great marriage? I think not.

I was actually joking a little. I don't have one, nor will I ever need one. I know that in some jurisdictions they are limited or can be overturned. When my first wife divorced me I didn't have anything much to take, we were very young. I did however win full custody, legal and physical, of my daughter after a few years because my ex is batshit crazy and I have very good lawyers as friends.

I read things like this and just become thankful for having a great wife. She's hard working, sexy, respectful of my place as head of the household, and just all around a joy to be with most of the time. Sure, we are human and there are days when she rubs me the wrong way or I her. Those days are seldom. We do our own things without each other often enough, guy's or girl's nights out for example, but we also enjoy each others' company quite a bit. Seventeen years and going. I'm looking forward t…

I made a huge mistake with my first wife, though I don't regret it because I have a daughter from it. A daughter that I won full legal and physical custody over. Thanks to that she is now a fine young adult. My second wife is fantastic. We've been together 17 years now, since my daughter was 6. The sex is still frequent and great and she understands the differences between men and women. She is my friend and partner but the final say in important matters is mine.

Sorry, but wrong. The ultimate goal isn't just sex, and it's not just having sex with a woman who doesn't expect anything but sex. The goal is to find a mate. Some of us are lucky enough to find a girl who understands the differences between men and women but who can be a good partner in life. I feel rather sorry for men who think the goal is just to find women to fuck without expectation. I'll get downvoted for this, but I really do find it to be a bit pathetic. You're partially right. Most women will try to break you. It's a test. The good ones don't need to break you. They just are testing your strength, because they know if they can't then nobody else can either.

'TRP Tactics' shouldn't even come to mind. What is described as tactics should just come naturally to any man. Sadly it does not though, which is why it is good there are forums for discussion such as this for those who were disadvantaged to learn from their upbringing.

I think we might be talking semantics now, but technically you're correct. Silencing the mind leads to ego death but the latter does not automatically occur the moment the mind is silenced.

A fair point but an edge case. I wasn't talking about public figures, I was talking about worker bees, and my own personal anecdotal experience says it holds true. If men start crying about how the feminists have screwed them then we are no better than they are. You either make life your bitch or you let it make you its. The vast majority of your fate is in your hands, not anyone else's.

I've had my own business, and that isn't terrible advice you're giving, but it's not the only answer. Be excellent at what you do and this won't happen to you. I mean excellent, not just good or very good. Nobody is immune to losing a job to a layoff or a company going under but if you are acknowledged as one of the best in your field you won't have to worry about some incompetent bimbo taking your job.

I'd be interested in seeing those studies, because men consistently do a lot better at marathons than women. I'm not sure what you mean by the gap narrowing 'considerably.'

I disagree. The others there got his point. Creating contention in a social setting wouldn't have helped. I'd consider that illness and would probably just 'take matters into my own hands' until she was able. We have a fantastic sex life. I'm really not interested in fucking other girls. If she ever tried to cut me off then that latter opinion would change. Thankfully she's as horny as I am.

I keep being reminded by these examples just how lucky I am. I have blanket 'permission' (it's not really permission, it's an understanding) to 'cheat' if we ever go without sex for more than two weeks. That's never happened. The only times I can think of when it's been more than two days have been due to illness on my or her part. Then again it isn't really luck. I just chose my mate wisely.

Selection and evolution are responsible for all human behavior to a point. There is a reason why girls might claim to like betas but spend a lot more time fucking alphas. Despite the claims, it's what most women really want deep down, largely for the reason you suggest. That's why it's the natural order of things despite the attempts of modern feminism to say otherwise.
/r/TheRedPill19/02/14 04:54 PM

Because it's not really a game. It's the natural order of things. We just live in a culture that's largely in denial about that.

Technically correct, but sadly overly cynical. There are a few good monogamous relationships out there that involve well placed trust. I'm sorry if have never experienced one.
/r/TheRedPill13/02/14 02:42 AM

Yet guys like me who were single dads for years get no credit at all from the feminists. I juggled work and raising my daughter. Was it work? Sure. Did I whine about it and claim how much harder it was than anything else in the world? No, and that thought makes me laugh. We've been raising kids for millennium. It's not easy but it's natural. I still laugh at the 'poor me' attitude of many mothers.

One of the definitions of discrimination is 'The ability or power to see or make fine distinctions; discernment.' I certainly do discriminate when I choose a mate. I am certainly far more likely to want someone who actually takes care of her health, for one.

/r/TheRedPill06/12/13 03:19 PM

It was an example of the same phenomenon. Nothing lame about that at all. Your very comment exhibits the same sort of racism: "are there really no non-white men on this sub that speak out...". Move along now.
/r/TheRedPill04/12/13 03:21 AM

It really is perverse. I had a black (yes I said black, not 'African American') guy yell at me and call me all sorts of names like cracker and such. When I called him out as a racist several people around basically said it was impossible for a black man to be racist against whites. Go figure. Talk about cognitive dissonance.

/r/TheRedPill03/12/13 02:10 AM

True, you have a good point. I've never really found myself in that position but I can imagine how someone lacking confidence to begin with could build a little bit up that way.
/r/TheRedPill02/12/13 12:55 AM
5

Indeed. Some of us have known that for most of our lives. The Internet just makes it easier for like minded people to share the truth.
/r/TheRedPill01/12/13 11:02 PM
2

Exactly. I'd also add that choosing goals 'one can easily achieve' is hardly how I'd do it. It's attaining the hard goals, which does require discipline, that builds true confidence. I would add that confidence is important, but it's more of a side effect of pursuing one's life with discipline.

She sounds a lot like my wife of 16 years. She does things like that for me for a variety of reasons. Some are practical, some are just because she cares about my well being. I in return do things for her often because I like to do them. In any long term committed relationship there's give and take, and yes people get personal benefits out of them. She is very independent and has her own career but I make a lot more money, thus she enjoys a higher standard of living than she would if she were no…

Again, you're wrong for the most part. One is indeed the spouse of a friend. The others I can think of off the top of my head are not in any such way related. They are either people I met because we hung in the same circles or people I've met in the course of my career. Some I see often, some I see rarely, much like any other long time friend of either gender. Just because your world is too small for something doesn't mean that something isn't true.
/r/TheRedPill29/11/13 09:13 PM

You're entitled to disagree. You're still incorrect. Some of these women I've known for decades, and I think I'm in a far better position to know and judge their character and motivations than you are.

Sorry but that's just BS. Platonic relationships can and do exist. While I've had many lovers I've also had and have a few very good friends who happen to have been born female. Maybe in your world it is impossible, but not in the real world.
/r/TheRedPill29/11/13 06:32 PM

Sometimes I see a study like this and think, "Duh. Thanks Captain Obvious." Virtually all human behavior has its roots in survival strategies born of thousands of years of evolution.
/r/TheRedPill27/11/13 10:22 PM

I always chuckle at that. While I don't always agree with everything said here, and sometimes (not too often) TRP descends into a circle jerk, there is nothing misogynistic about recognizing the biological differences, forged by evolution, of the two sexes.

It's basically when they want you to make them feel good about themselves, boost their self esteem, etc. What are you supposed to do about it? Certainly not give it falsely. If a girl does something praiseworthy there's nothing wrong with noting it, but don't feed their never ending need to have their self esteem boosted. That needs to come from within a person. External validation is generally empty and meaningless in the long run.
/r/TheRedPill25/11/13 02:34 AM

You can get quality juice here in the States as well. I married one such woman. She's smart, hard working, and while independent and fairly strong she respects that there are gender differences.

Anyone who has to loudly proclaim how 'alpha' they are probably isn't nearly as much so as they like to think, or try to get others to believe. Actions, people. They speak far louder than words.

I disagree. There's nothing desperate about his response. He's 'assuming the sale' as they say in the sales business. The alternate response would be 'Ok some other time,' then make other plans and if she comes back later with 'I'm free after all' you just tell her sorry, I'm busy now.
