Yes you are being abused. My crazy alcoholic mother did many of these things to me and the rest of my family. I begged my father for years and years to get a divorce and leave and end my/his/my brother's suffering but he just kept hanging in there. I had to finish high school early and get the fuck out of the situation because I simply couldn't take it anymore. I would advise you to get out ASAP and make sure you have your own records to use against hers. Best of luck to you, you'll be in my tho…

I always feel so sorry for male DV victims because my dad is one and it just breaks my heart. I'm glad you've gotten away and I wish you all the best in the future!

That's very disappointing of the AHA. And I'm so sorry you suffered abuse, and I hope you're okay now. Stay strong and keep fighting the good fight.

Fuck that bitch. I still kiss my dad on the cheek and hug him too, and there's nothing wrong with it.

I hate hearing stories of when women mistreat their men, having come from a family destroyed by my mother's alcoholism. I am glad you have your car back, and I wish you the best in your future.

Feminism ruins everything. :(

I don't think you were getting pissy at all. I think feminists just can't handle the reality that all people should be equal, regardless of gender, and that just because you're a woman doesn't mean you are better or deserve more. I thought you raised some very valid points in a much politer manner than I would have.

Yeah, this sentence is definitely better than nothing. And the case could become a precedent for similar future cases. It's good that she was sentenced.

That poor, poor boy. I am glad he has the love and support of his community and his aunt and brothers.

The cell phone one doesn't bug me. But I hate the idea that it's always the man's fault. It enrages me, because in my family it was my mother hurting my father 99% of the time. I remember a post recently about a school in WA that had an outreach program that included both abused males and females, and I was really happy about that. I hope more schools adopt such programs.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
