The seduction and regional PUA groups and grifters admit freely that the odds are one phone number for 99 rejections Can you be more specific about who is saying this? Maybe name some names. Which turns cold approachers into pests, which results in those odds. Vicious cycle for thirty-forty years which sure makes it look like men just enjoy annoying and bullying women instead of actually desiring a connection. Can you explain how going up to a woman at the club and telling her you like her shirt…

Obvipusly nkt, that's that's there's a pink 'female' flair next to my make lol Oh, so you haven't experienced it yourself. That's interesting that you spoke on it with such certainty then. I've read it from cold approach forums. That was a while ago, the odds are waaay lower nowadays with OLD and the rise of anti socialness. r/seduction seems to say similarly. (Although it's hard to tell what they look like) Sounds like selection bias to me. I've also seen men on those forums who have had a lot …

Are you speaking from experience as a man who's cold approached women?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/25 07:18 PM
2

When they say low they mean 5-10 percent. That's pretty good.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/25 06:42 PM

Says who? The men who fail at it or the ones who never approach?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/25 05:48 PM

The reason for approaching shouldn't be a sales pitch, it's obvious that you're coming up to a woman because she's attractive. You come up with a line because if you just say "I approached you because I thought you were hot" you look socially unaware.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/25 05:48 PM

All sex and relationships are based on sexual attraction, that's not something special to cold approaching.

Do you get shot in the head if a woman turns you down?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/25 04:46 PM

People do benefit, the men who succeed benefit by getting dates/hookups.

Cold approaching lets you start a conversation with whoever you might be interested in. It's best to do this at a bar/club or otherwise appropriate settings, but you can also work on starting conversations with people anywhere without necessarily trying to pick them up

I'm saying it's best if you approach without romantic intention in public and approach with romantic intention at appropriate places.

Why do you care about what a handful of people are saying online?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/25 03:00 PM

You should talk to strangers at random places like stores and parks and cold approach at social areas like clubs and bars.

I don't think you should focus on it exclusively but it still works in 2025 (speaking from experience).

I agree, but it's worth it to talk to people in public to get over approach anxiety.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/25 02:25 PM

I think anywhere is a strong word, but I would tell most men cold approach is entirely unwelcome in the overwhelming majority of scenarios. This is just not true, and it's clear you're presenting your opinion as the truth to further your agenda

I want to read that study because I've seen a few showing that the percentage of virgins still goes down significantly from 25-30.

Why do you expect someone else to save you if you're ugly and socially anxious?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/24 11:32 PM
-1

There are many reasons as to how that can happen. Someone who had a glow up or worked on their social skills after being socially awkward, someone who doesn't have the opportunities to meet women, someone who was previously too busy with work/school to date, etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/24 07:48 PM

Not something I would hope for but it'd be great if it did happen. I wouldn't look it as her being a teacher though bc that puts pressure on her.

I'm not focusing on those who are ugly or extremely socially anxious because those people will be rejected for being ugly and socially anxious before they can be rejected for virginity. Work on those things.

Being nervous can be attributed to many different reasons, doesn't mean that it's obvious they're a virgin.

The best thing for inexperienced older men is to just date in general since they have some catching up to do.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/24 02:54 PM

I have a better idea, how about you just date who you like instead of being neurotic about whether the woman is experienced or not
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/24 02:34 PM

What do you mean by subjecting women to bad sex? A guy shouldn't sleep with anybody if he thinks he's bad at fucking is what you're saying
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/24 01:08 PM

Next you'll be telling me that Lord of the Rings is one big symbolism for Christianity
/r/PurplePillDebate31/12/23 04:51 AM

Virgins need to realize that there's no brand on them showing the world that they've never had sex. Not acting like a virgin is way more important than your status as one
/r/PurplePillDebate31/12/23 04:51 AM
1

Depends on how big the age gap is, a woman in her early 20s probably will not date or fuck a 40 year old. They will still be attracted to late 20s/early 30s men though.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/23 02:34 AM
4

I wouldn't say cold approaching is doomed to fail 99 percent of the time, if an average guy gets good at talking to people through trial and error and significantly improves his fashion and appearance it's possible to have a good success rate.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/23 01:05 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/23 10:57 PM

That's their right, but I think that's a sad mindset at any age.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/23 10:50 PM

Because in my experience, women like relationships and they like sex especially if it's with a guy who has his shit together.

/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/23 10:39 PM

Yeah I'm not gonna deny it probably gets much harder after a certain age, but self-improvement can be done at any age. And the percentage of virgins gets lower after 40 too, like below 1 percent or something.

I don't think they're being settled for either hence the quotation marks. I wouldn't say that having the skill to get a ONS makes it harder to get into a LTR, why do you think so?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/23 01:35 AM
4

If a guy is willing to be rejected a lot then he can have regular sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/23 01:33 AM
4

What do you think the problem is then?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/23 01:32 AM

I wouldn't say either is practically impossible

23 and I live in a college town
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/23 12:06 AM
4

I don't know what kind of life those men have lived but I never had any of my hookups turn into LTRs.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/23 12:02 AM
6

Which is why it's easier to hookup with a woman who's down to fuck. You don't need to make her feel comfortable about your social status or income for the foreseeable future. All you need to do is to charm her for one night.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/23 12:01 AM
-4

Even if they lack those things, I don't believe it's that hard for most guys to get to the point where they can date and hookup casually since superficial things are easier to improve. It's much harder for a guy to get his shit together to the point where he's mature enough to make a relationship last.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/23 11:52 PM
4

Even though the number of women willing to hook up might be lower, there's no guarantee that just because someone goes out on a date with you means that you'll ever see them again.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/23 11:48 PM
1

How exactly are those two statements different?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/23 11:28 PM
1

Yeah that sounds pretty bitchy to me. "Well, when you waste your time chasing 8s and up, of course you’ll see nothing but Prima Donnas. These women know they’re hot, and they know they can manipulate guys to do their bidding. Why wouldn't they be arrogant?" Here you implied that hot women are more likely to be prima donnas
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/23 11:24 PM
1

What's your definition of prima donna? You implied that, and no you didn't say that attractive men are more likely to be misogynistic, I used it as an example to show how you can't use looks to judge a person's personality
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/23 11:18 PM
0

There are plenty of examples of unattractive women being bitchy/rude. It makes no sense to assume looks have anything to do with how much of a bitch a woman is. It's like saying that attractive men are more likely to be misogynistic, there's no correlation.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/23 10:57 PM
1

Everyone's hypocritical, it only matters if your hypocrisy prevents you from good results
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/23 10:04 PM
2

Why do you care if someone's preference is hypocritical
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/23 09:58 PM
4

You realize ugly women can just as easily be prima donnas as well?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/23 09:55 PM
3

The reason sexually inexperienced guys go for virgins is because they believe non-virgin women will reject them almost immediately
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/23 09:54 PM
3

The people who are saying that don't seem to be redpill themselves and there are also some people here who have never had any romantic experiences at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/04/23 02:50 AM

It is a revenge fantasy in the sense that a 50 year old woman is still going to have more options than a 50 year old man
/r/PurplePillDebate03/04/23 02:29 AM

Therapy is usually the best option for people. It's just that sometimes people aren't in the right state of the mind to be able to seek it out for themselves.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/04/23 02:26 AM
7

College falls under the "early adult" category so you're not out of the ordinary there. In my experience things usually get harder for people after college and if you're an older virgin who never managed to lose it during school you have a much harder path ahead of you. I don't agree with most of the pill stuff besides generic health/fashion advice but I understand why socially ill-adjusted guys would be drawn to it.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/04/23 02:25 AM
2

Glad you managed to get free of thinking that way, it's a terrible way to think even though it's easy to get into that mindset
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/23 10:10 PM
29

Hypocritical since I never take this advice but there's no point in dwelling on past mistakes. You couldn't have known better and now you do, so you know what to do in the future.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/23 10:09 PM
2

No, I agree it makes you unattractive if you're still stuck in that mindset but people in that situation usually aren't able to think rationally in the first place. If you're talking about me personally then I wouldn't say that I'm angry at anyone for it.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/23 10:08 PM

What dating advice would you give to a 22 year old guy who graduated college a virgin but made out with several women and got/gave head a single time? Is he fucked due to his lack of experience or is there still hope for improvement?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/23 05:47 AM
2

You worded it a lot better than I did. I don't believe that showing no affection is a good idea, just that a lot of people do it way too much at times. I'm young and stupid tbh, I have no idea how to take control of relationships.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/19 05:30 PM
You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
