No I don't think that. I think your viewpoint is cruel.

"The world" is nothing more than human beings, if that term means anything. Humans can choose how we treat others, and treating those with cancer a little softer is the right thing to do. If the person with cancer used their illness as a sort of shield against criticism, that would be a problem.

Then why do you think she apologized? Honest question. It seems to me Samantha Bee felt the way I do.

There are many targets to pick if you're angry enough. Maybe lay off people with cancer.

No problem. I thought you were saying this quote from this guy in response to the person who was defending Trump. You were saying that a good test of character is what a person does in private, or when no one is watching. My point was that it's easy to say that and it's easy to think that we're all good people, but I don't care if you lift Jesus Christ up or Mother Teresa or Ghandi or John Wooden or whoever, we're all flawed, and as stupid as Trumps comments were, they were made in private and I…

My wife told me yesterday that not one woman at her job was wearing red or was really even aware that there was a protest that day. I guess they're all anti woman?

Sure. But if the disparity were based on gender discrimination the woman could sue. More likely the gap would be due to experience, negotiating skills and other factors two men working together or two women working together would face.

I think you are correct only if we don't recognize inherent differences between men and women. A man hitting another man is a completely different situation than a man hitting a woman. It's just not view the same and I think maybe your idea goes back to this sort of idealistic view that men and women are mostly the same. In some aspects we are but physically I don't think we are at all. So it's a more nuanced approach.

Well duh the guard isn't going to hold back against female criminals. There doesn't have to be equal treatment of genders , because the genders are not capable of the same things. Come at me with a gun, and it's different, which why people call guns the "great equalizer ". A small woman can defend herself against anyone if she uses a gun.

Okay, so would you say that my daughter should be dealt with phycially if she attacks me? What about a small child? I know it sounds weird but you would likely draw a line somewhere, where you wouldn't physically retaliate, knowing you would likely kill or severely hurt the person hurting you. I'm a psych nurse and have been involved in many patient altercations. If I had defended myself against the women who assaulted me like I did against the men who did, very few people would disagree that th…

Your genitalia isn't the only thing that separates you from being a woman, though. As a man, you are automatically stronger than probably 90% of women in the world. The strength you can wield separates you from being a woman much more so than your penis. Are you in a relationship by chance?
/r/MensRights24/02/17 06:40 PM

But what do you mean "in kind"? My wife can punch me all day, but if I hit her, even with half strength, she's not going to get up any time soon. If it were me in the OP's case, I would remove myself from the situation as quickly as possible, then try to get law enforcment involved. It would be tempting to strike back, but it's not the woman who goes to jail in those situations, and we all know it.

I don't disagree but even if you think the law is on your side in terms of "self-defense", if a cop shows up and sees a man with scratch marks on his face and a woman with bruises and a bloody nose, it's not the woman who is going to jail. I think being a man comes with a responsibility to withhold force unless absolutely necessary, which in the above case it didn't seem it was.

Also would have destroyed her. Even if he weren't a bodybuilder most guys are stronger than most women. Restraint is necessary in those situations.

Another argument you can offer as a counter here is where are the lawsuits? If women are paid less than men, that's against the law, so people that believe this are saying that literally all women who work are entitled to compensatory damages, back pay and punitive damages from their employers. If this were real we would see literally millions of lawsuits every single day.

The first thing to ask a person who supports the wage gap myth is: "why haven't you sued your employer?" Any company that pays women less than men (or vice-versa) simply because of their gender is in violation of the 1963 Equal Pay Act, which the guy in this video alludes to. Proponents of the myth don't say "some" women get paid less, they say that "women" get paid less, meaning all women. So, we should see daily lawsuits all over the country against employers breaking the law. But we only see …

Having been to Disney World, I can say for sure that you won't get in to many restaurants without a reservation. It's part of the planning for the trip, just like the hotel, airfare, and rides. You have to reserve sometimes months in advance if you want a spot.
