This is the best one. It needs to be handled with sensitvity, but it's the most powerful. On the other hand the response to this one, while wrong, is also obvious: "Well men are the oppressors in the gender category and black people are the oppressed in the race category, so it's not apples to apples".

What you're describing definitely happens, but what you're missing is that the left people who use it don't realize they are using reactionary methods. This is one of the main problems with so-called wokism- it tries to be so egalitarian that it overcorrects- instead of ending oppression (which it doesn't believe possible because of its inbuilt pessimism) it attempts to merely invert oppressed and oppressor categories. A lot of interesting perspectives, so I want to try a question. Is anyone aware of how proponents of intersectionality respond to the point that it has the effect of siloing interest groups in smaller categories, which benefits Capital as it's inherently anti-solidarity? To me it feels like you can only arrive at it after assuming permanent defeat in the class war, and are seeking instead "equality among the scraps".

If it were life and death, false activations over non threats are much better than failures to activate over real threats. They’re not saying the whole thing is good. Is it good that famous men who have been getting away with abuse for decades are finally being held to account, yes or no? I think a related element is that men are the morally lower category. Less human if you will, and therefore you don’t have to expend significant resources like attention on their behalf. It’s much like how the poor are treated in every economic system to date.

Since both Conservatives and Feminists believe in gender roles we can expect that this kind of thing will stick around. Attempts from the left to make it equal will be half-hearted at best, and will never succeed. What should really happen is to get rid of the draft entirely. It kind of makes sense if you think about the historical perspective. Feminism had (has) an important role to play, but it's a pendulum that doesn't know when to stop and swing back toward the middle. We're the types applying that pressure to it, but we can't expect them to figure it out on their own, they've been swinging in that direction for as long as they can remember, and a state of continuous gains is normal for them.

Add to this that females earn the majority of college degrees in general let alone that specific field, so good old fashioned meritocracy would make it likely that most of the best trained people for the job are women. We should maybe address why men aren't getting college degrees, but it doesn't mean that it's particularly unfair to men in this instance.
