I wouldn't plan to escalate things, just go with it. Be yourself, be interesting, relaxed and confident and just talk to her. If she wants you to make a move, she's going to be throwing lots of signals your way. Just look out for them and take it one step at a time.

Women do not have make "friends" with straight guys. Those relationships are between her and a gay man usually. Make that move, try and kiss that girl, grab her ass, do whatever you think will work in that moment. Seems like you can't get out of your own head right now, but that's fixable! Next time your about to chicken out, remind yourself of all these missed opportunities and how shitty that feels. That should help

In my experiences, any female that still thinks about their ex either attempts to get back with them and fail, or actually do. I'm gonna say no. If my girlfriend asked to go on a friend date, that will probably be the last question she as my current girlfriend. If you need to even consider going down this path, it's probably better to just end your current relationship and focus on this person who you find more interesting. Best of luck to you
