Nice wiki search, but roentgen is the commonly used spelling and is also a unit of measure for exposure to ionizing radiation from X-rays and gamma Rays, specifically. He also is accredited with the discovery of X-rays, despite what wiki tells you. Electron beams from a cathode that then interact with an anode target surface result in photon beams (X-rays). This is my area is expertise.

I have a similar problem in that I have almost never been able to fall asleep before 3am. I don't have a solution for falling asleep earlier, but I find to wake up earlier there is a trick. I drink 3 or 4 glasses of water right before I fall asleep, and within 4-5 hours I'll be awake and have to take a piss. Works every time.
