I think I mentioned this to someone else but my initial question dealt with the vets relationship with the public. Not so much with the government.

I guess that makes more sense. I can't imagine another time when soldiers were disrespected for what they've done.

I guess, although when I wrote my question. I was thinking more about relations between vets and the public. Government can always be weird, but I think that the public tends to be grateful when their soldiers go out to war, almost never shaming them for what they've done.

I think our current government wants to help them, but sometimes can do a bad job at it. Although that's nothing in comparison to treat them like garbage.

You're right but that's because they saw them as black people first and soldiers second. I guess my next question would be if Vets regardless of color have been treated like this?
