Yeah every man automatically has the possibility of being a sexual predator smh. My teen sister is trying to start a babysitting business in the neighborhood and I just think of how that would be practically impossible for me to do because I’m a guy.

Property ownership: most of the times it’s the man who has the debt. Hence why properties are registered to his name. Politics: There are actually more female voters than male voters. Everyone is choosing these men. Plus, now there are more opportunities for female politicians than ever. Society: Do you really think men hold the power in western society? I would argue that societal power and influence is equal among both genders, but I have seen evidence of women’s privilege in the 21st century.

This is literally what pretty women (not all) have been doing for ages, it has even increased since social media became a thing. Instead of seeing men like sex objects, the see them as attention givers. They text a guy for 2 weeks until someone hotter shows up, and so it goes on. That’s what happens when there’s low supply and high demand. Smh how is it possible to observe the statistics and realize that for 40 years men have been the minority of college students and still try to find and focus …

I started watching the show Peaky Blinders which is set in 1919 England. It really made me mad to see how women’s only purpose back then was to be a housewife and mother, but then I realized that men didn’t have it easier. War and the huge physical labor they had to endure really fucked them up. Whenever women complain about how they are expected to be caretakers, I just think about how men are expected to be providers. What we call sexism has always existed towards both genders.

Exactly. I 100% support equality for women outside the Occidental world. There’s already equality in the West. Nah, there’s more than equality.

The only thing that keeps me from thinking this article is biased af is the study she included about males interrupting females 33% more. Is this a true statistic or just portrayed in a way that victimizes women, like many media outlets do?

They’ll complain about the female character not wanting to play sports because she delicate but ignore when the male character doesn’t realize a girl is in love with him because he’s dumb. There’s stereotypes both ways, and personally I can live with them, they don’t bother me.

I get what you're trying to say, I don't know where you live but in Hollywood happened the same for a long time. What made me mad was how she concluded that a tiny action (people complimenting her baby) ->patriarchy bad, women victim.

Dude she wrote this bs but I bet she’s not even gonna have kids because “it’s not her obligation as a woman to have kids, she can do whatever she wants and shouldn’t be judged by this patriarchal society”.

You’re a good mom and a good person. I really think the far left are the unhappiest group of them all. They can’t live a day without finding something that oppresses women, minorities, lgbtq, disabled people, etc. Sometimes they’re issues that should genuinely cause concern, but most of the times they just say stupid stuff.

Tbh honest I just shook my head when I heard about a state banning boy/girl toy sections, but reading your experience I’m starting to think it could be a good thing. It won’t change much though, I think it will be a LONG time before baby dolls are considered gender neutral. Still, there are kids who just don’t care and get the toys the feel like getting. It’s all in the parents’ hands, because they’re the ones who’ll allow a kid to get whatever toy they want, no matter the “gender” of the toy.

EDIT: After reading the different opinions from men and women I’ve come to analyze this issue a bit more. Men can become strong if they do physical activitiy. Women can’t just become prettier unless they have surgery (even though you could argue that beauty also involves hairstyle, clothing, and accessories). +1 point for women because men technically do have it easier in this case scenario. Now, a pretty woman has way more value in society than a strong man. +1 point for men because women do ha…

This is my problem with hyper liberals. They’re so progressive that it reaches a totally unnecessary level. Would you have thought 20 years ago that you were going to be frowned upon when you called your daughter beautiful?

I didn’t know having a child, which in most cases is a person’s happiest event in their entire life, is a higher SACRIFICE than being forced to fight for something you may not even support along many other innocent men, and either be forced to kill more innocent men or be killed, and if you happen to survive you will most likely experience physical and mental trauma for a really long time. The audacity.

In Mexico the past women’s day was dedicated to feminists taking over Instagram by sharing tweets from girls in their city who were abused by X guy. They then proceeded to publicly shame him and make everybody block him and stop being friends with him. I was so mad because those were literally “your word against mine” cases and they were trying to ruin these guys’ lives. I’m not saying they were innocent, but they provided literally no proof. Maybe we should get our guy friends who have been abu…

Something like that is definitely possible on a national scale. For the past years, Mexico has been extremely unsafe for women, there’s always stories in the news of women gone missing and being found naked on the side of a highway or in body bags. The last women’s day before covid the women who could afford it stayed at home in protest to show the country what a day without women was. There was only a couple of girls at my high school. Workplaces and schools allowed women to go absent. It was a…

/r/MensRights14/10/21 11:55 AM

I have conflicting views on this issue. On one hand, yes, why should we be responsible for a woman’s sense of safety? Seems a bit sexist for both ways. But on the other hand, we need to be realistic. 95% of women will get easily defeated by a man, so maybe there’s a point there.
/r/MensRights14/10/21 11:03 AM

I admit that I’ve been guilty of thoughts like this. I just can’t imagine having sex with a woman and not enjoying it. I’ve never been forced to do something I don’t want to but after reading the stories of male victims my perspective has changed.

Not being annoying is very important. Girls on social media bombard me with feminist shit 24/7 so now I don’t feel empathy for them. They’ve simply become annoying.

Yeah man I feel like women (not all) are rotten inside because of the media. A lot of men too. I’m really attracted to feminine women, but it seems that people liking feminine women and masculine men is a crime nowadays.

I’m 1000% willing to put as much time and effort as the woman I love needs. What makes me mad is how some women expect so much while they give nothing back.

Yeah. Tbh sometimes I get the impression that when I get married I’ll have to constantly work hard to keep my wife in love with me, whereas my love wouldn’t fade away a bit. This is the impression social media gives me.

I have OCD and struggled with intrusive thoughts for quite a bit. I switched to a CB therapist a month ago and this is one of the topics we’ve covered. Thanks.
/r/MensRights11/10/21 04:35 AM

Lmao. Sexism does exist but you need to realize that it’s not omnipresent in western society anymore. Telling a girl that she’s not like the others is not sexism. If a girl I liked told me that I would feel over the moon, because I’m capable of realizing and accepting that a lot of guys are shit. Women should be able to do the same without feeling attacked.
/r/MensRights10/10/21 07:09 PM

So a personal tailored reward would be something like “I didn’t fall victim to a lie”? Or what do you mean? It amazes me how smart and cultured people in this sub are lol.
/r/MensRights10/10/21 05:35 AM

How can I overcome this beliefs?
/r/MensRights10/10/21 02:54 AM

Very good point. What’s an example of finding good in gender related situations.
/r/MensRights10/10/21 02:19 AM

Oh I definitely know where it came from. Social media spreads feminist ideals like a disease. Literally. Teenage girls who were perfectly fine with most aspects of their life open an Instagram or tiktok account and get infected. Fast forward 6 months later and they believe they are oppressed victims of the patriarchy, plus some misandry sprinkled here and there.
/r/MensRights10/10/21 12:49 AM

Interesting. I’m curious then to what’s the reason to gender roles existing in our society. Men having to do most of the work to get into a relationship, or the roles assigned in a most households (male goes out to hunt and get food, female stays in the lair and takes care of the offspring).
/r/MensRights10/10/21 12:45 AM

Wow thanks. Fuck society then. Is this a fact or a developing theory?
/r/MensRights10/10/21 12:04 AM

You’re right. Even so, a woman rejecting a burger because she doesn’t want to gain fat isn’t even misogynistic. Like I said in the original post, our beauty standards dictate that attractive women are skinny and attractive men are muscular. And I don’t see anything wrong with that. There have been times where I have forced myself to eat more than I wanted to because that was the only way I was going to achieve muscle mass growth (along with working out of course). If I used the same logic femini…

What drains me is how women don’t really have to do anything most of the times, just spectate, as he tries to gain her love. If you look online for dating advice channels, 90% of them are for men, because the only thing women have to do is look pretty. I may be wrong, but that’s my perspective. One thing though. As mad and frustrating as this is, I don’t think this part of our culture is based off sexist beliefs. This is just how nature works. Go watch any NatGeo documentary about pretty much an…
