Finally a use for all the Lynx Africa!

I think it is good that you do still care for her. I think that's where we differ the most. I don't feel anything for anyone anymore. I've come close to telling my mom that I hate my dad but I'm not sure how it would change anything. He's sick and she takes care of him.

Sad? No. I'm angry. I lived much the same life as you except I was verbally and occasionally physically abused. Mom was rarely home and dad was the SAHD but did very little all things considered. I feel like I raised myself. I taught myself all the things my parents should have taught me, like riding a bike, mowing the lawn and cooking, just to name a few. I was academically inclined but very socially and emotionally behind my peers. Also I was an only child. Now she moans relentlessly that I li…

Yes! This has been my life for the past few years word for word. The unambitious, hum drum, never changing, expects me to do all the emotional labour whilst he makes bank at work and is basically their little rockstar. My life became so boring and I'm tired of it.

This happened to me too. We were watching an episode of the Simpsons and Marge asked Homer to tell her what her eye color was, as a sign he paid attention to those details. Well I closed my eyes and asked my husband what my eye color was... and he didn't know. I was so upset. He gave me so many lame excuses but I felt so worthless at the time. Now all I feel is anger that I allowed myself to feel anything towards someone who never fucking tried. Ugh.

Ain't that the damn truth.

I fucking hate that excuse. "I'll get to it." No, damnit! If I'm saying something it's too flipping late!! DO IT NOW.

Oooh did you see the movie Wild? That movie spoke to me on so many levels.

I don't really like chick flicks but does anyone wanna come over and watch the Lord of the Rings Extended Edition??? 🤣

I changed my name due to marriage mostly because I hated my given name. Now I'm considering changing my entire name because I just really don't like it.

Wtf did I just read.

It's even a bit worse than that. She's not actually recognised as a Sith because of the rule of two, so only Palpatine and Dooku are considered Sith. She just works for Dooku and is considered his acolyte.

This right here. I used to listen to his show and eventually had to stop because he 100% believes in the "bootstrap" way of life. Nevermind that housing and tuition have sky rocketed and the minimum wage for many, if not most, countries has stagnated. The man literally advocates for getting 3+ jobs to make ends meet and never mentions that maybe our lives as a whole should change so that one job can support a family. You know, like back when he was growing up. The guy is a hardened capilalist an…

Exactly this. Never ever flush these things. They don't break down and cause huge problems.

The laundry things gets me. A couple years ago the washer just broke and unfortunately there were clothes still inside. What I didn't realise was instead of rinsing and hang wringing them out, he left them in a pile on the floor. The carpeted floor. I mean, really??

Thank you! Exactly how I feel.

I've considered going into that field. How do you like what you do? May I ask you some questions over pm perhaps?

I'm proud of you too!

That just seems like common sense to me. I'd be writing up people for giving out other people's numbers without permission.

Yes, absolutely. My grandmother passed in 2001 and everyone said she was the glue that held the family together. They all drifted apart, especially my mom from her siblings. My mom was utterly shattered when her mom passed away and to a degree she still is.

Amen!

I mean, wtf? I never realised this either until I was an adult. My mom always tried to make my Christmas fun and even when my dad wasn't ill he never bought her anything. Not flowers or jewellery or anything. I knew he was a pos leech but damn, he had no value whatsoever.

Ew, relax? Ew. How about a cup of tea or a nice hot shower you degenerate. I'm sorry you had to deal with that.

I'm going on six years myself. Yes, you read that right. I'd rather not have sex than have bad sex.

I concur. I'd be traumatised losing my bunny. An awful man? Psh, get rid.

Exactly this. TIL I'm basically a dude. Smdh

Mine is complete negative value too. I'd actually talk with/visit my mother more often if it wasn't for my dad. He's just that awful.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy12/12/20 09:43 PM

First step is accepting and loving yourself unconditionally, imo. Have you thought about talking with a therapist?

For the my gardening match I got a Kew Gardens branded floral kneeling pad, some "bee balls" that you kinda just toss in the garden and flowers that attract bees grow, and two Gardening How To books because my match said they were pretty new to gardening.

Tara was awesome. Willow lied to her about using magic though. I was very disappointed in that. Dark Willow was oddly fun to watch, however.

I received a bag of dirt once from a gardening exchange. I don't think I'll be doing it again. I've only gotten a couple of truly cool things out of the years doing exchanges. Not worth it.

I agree. I'd have a lot of fun with that one.

I was in a LD "situationship" and I pandered to his "I'm so funny" idea of himself. Boy would his ego deflate if he knew how unfunny he really was. It was actually pretty sad.

Exactly. This stigma over herpes needs to end. I have HSV 1 and I'm certain I got it from an old lying boyfriend way back in the day. Since then I've told every romantic partner about it and have insisted on std testing for both parties ever since. Never trust a partner when they say they're clean! Always validate.

Dang, ya'll remember way more than I do, and I only watched the whole series last month. I defer to your wisdom and memory.

What about Riley? Not perfect, no doubt, but definitely not in the creeper boat like Angel, Xander and Spike.

I totally realised this too! Ironically today is my mum's birthday too, 😂
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy19/11/20 07:16 PM

I was a little iffy about Cordy in Buffy, probably because she was just so unnecessarily mean to the scoobies, but Cordy in Angel is another level entirely and I'm really loving her character. I'm only now watching Angel and I'm kinda liking it better than its predecessor . Mostly because a distinct lack of Xander.

I used to do the whole "pack a lunch" thing, back in the day. Hell if he came home for lunch I'd even make a hot meal right then and there. He always said "thank you" and that was it. After a little while I said that some reciprocation was needed here, why don't you make dinner once or twice a week or when you're at the shop, pick me up something you know I'd like, just so I know you care. I can count on one hand how often that's happened this year. In seven years on both hands and part of a foo…

Exactly. I want to be with someone who is proud to be with me, not some fool who thinks hiding me is okay.

Like, fuck me for trusting someone and taking them at their word, right? I just don't get it. There are no benefits to lying, cause the lie always gets exposed.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy16/11/20 09:48 AM

I've noticed this trend as well, like wtf??

They're so beautiful! I wish bouquets told you exactly what flower varieties were in them so I could grow them myself. Or maybe they do and I don't know cause I don't get many bouquets?

Don't know about FDS, but I for one will be exploring dating persons of the xx persuasion going forward. I always suspected I flowed both ways anyway.

I feel this on a spiritual level.

What an utterly deplorable person. She deserves a million times better than that thing.

I agree. So many beautiful women in the world, inside and out!

He was someone I had always considered a good friend. Always romantically interested but the opportunity never arose. Many years passed. We started talking again last year and I thought maybe we could finally take things beyond friends. This is all well before I knew what FDS was. He expresses interest in me, I express interest in him. Things weren't great but they were decent. Turns out he'd had a girlfriend during most of the time we were talking. And once he knew I knew, he essentially ghoste…
