I said they were special cases. You're arguing based on technicalities. Essentially that If I believe in subjective morality then it's impossible for me to treat those crimes as objectively wrong. I think I already gave you clear examples of subjective morality too.

Fundamental axioms dude: murder = wrong, rape = wrong, child molestation = wrong. I guess we could ask why for infinity, but what would be the point in that?

That's not what i said. I think I made it clear in my last reply that I would label that wrong regardless.

When it comes to morality I don't believe it's always objective. To reiterate, I do have values which are objective, and if an action violates those values, then I'll label it objectively wrong regardless as in the case of horrific crimes (it's like a special case). However, in other cases I do believe in subjectivity.

I'm trying to say that just because you think something is morally right doesn't make it morally right. In the example you gave me, to frame it differently, he probably did think what he was doing was right, but it wasn't right. It was morally wrong, regardless of how he felt. The road to hell is paved with good intentions.

I do have values which puts that particularly example outside of the scope of things I would accept as morally right. When I say bad, I'm thinking more a long the lines of a mother telling a benevolent lie to a child to protect their emotions or perhaps the use of rhetoric in the courtroom to sway the opinion of a jury. You could say such tactics are immoral, but that's debatable. Also, a note about the example you gave me. I think the measure of whether something is right or wrong depends on th…

Not rigidly. I have values, but I do believe in grey areas, and the importance of other perspectives. I think it's quite possible for me to think an action might be good, I might even think it's altruistic of me, but it could just as easily be seen as bad, or even damaging. Similarly, I can see something "bad" on my end, leading to a positive outcome for someone else.

Morpheus was essentially a religious zealot. Thanks for pointing that out. It makes me see things in a whole different light. You can either choose good or evil. That's the biggest lie religion tells us isn't it?

I understand what you're saying.

From what I understand of MGTOW it's about thinking for yourself, defining for yourself what a man is. It's about going your own way, not his way. You can look at the red pill or the blue pill, but in the end it's up to you to take what you want from it. You don't blindly follow anyone. MGTOW is about individual identity and self-ownership more than anything else.

I heard of studies of twins raised in different households, even different parts of the world, that end up having similar personalities and even similar mannerisms and quirks. I think that suggests some dependence on genetics and constraints on free will at least, though it might still be there.

I think an MGTOW might reject morpheus.

I think you have to be dominant in your mind first - hence MGTOW. Where would the dominant men be if they had nothing to dominate?

No. This recreational dating stuff is a social script. Do I "date" my friends when I go out with them? The idea that you have to be fun and flirty is absurd. To each their own, but I'd rather connect with people than play along to some social script that I was taught through movies. Yeah, we talk about romance but I think this fun stuff is just another side of the same coin. The interactions aren't genuine, they become fetishes, a social script that you walk through. I find it strange how people…

It's a powerful word depending on who you're talking to. In my family, not to be disrespectful, no is when they start negotiating with you, or doing things that lead to yes. I told my mom straight up in a respectful way during a pleasant light normal conversation, I felt at ease as did she, but I said I don't want you to get involved with my personal life. She ignored that and is now doing what she always does. I don't want to do it her way. Making these decisions for myself makes me feel good. …

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
