It is. Calm down sport. You'll survive. Fuck yeah scholarships based upon race are racist. Based upon sex, sexist. I guarantee you that if 90% of those scholarships were for white males, you'd be singing a different tune. How about you make the scholarships need based... and then... give it to who needs it. If that's 90 percent one skin color, cool. No problem. Making it a prerequisite is racist.

Classic. I don't even know anymore... to suspend the sentence and get probation for 10 years for what amounted to everything except pulling the trigger herself. I can't even imagine sending one text to a loved one telling them to commit suicide, let alone thousands of them. Something needs to be done about this complete hypo(hyper) agency female(male) thing.

I'm sorry you're having that experience with kids when it used to be so uplifting for you. It's harsh and not fair, but it's how society is right now sadly. Hopefully you find some other way to bring that same amount of joy to your life.

Men invented the connection between charisma and big dicks, so it's not sexist against men. If it's sexist, it's sexist against women. [Edit to add: I'm plainly aware men enforce patriarchal norms on other men. As I said, phrases like 'small dick energy' are patriarchal. Patriarchy is sexist, but not all of the harm that patriarchy does is sexism. Men enforcing patriarchal norms on other men is not sexism against men. It's just patriarchy. Women enforcing patriarchal norms on other men is not se…

Damn, I'd love to see the statistics behind that statement. Actually, all the statements. Each sentence seems more unhinged and conspiratorial than the next. I don't think you can reasonably compare PTSD from war to PTSD from DV and conclude that they deserve the same level of care. It's like getting hit by a freight train and getting hit by a bicycle, sure you could survive the train and die by the bicycle, but really? And really? PTSD? The condition that literally took decades and decades or w…

An entire gender controlled for generations... So every single woman was controlled for generations... That just a fact or something? I seem to be missing your actual argument or anything you have said to back up this claim. So every single woman was controlled and forced to do something and the same cannot be applied to every single man? So can you give examples of this total control over women for generations that does not have a comparable example for men? There's a difference between being e…

Ok, that still doesn't address my issue with your statement. Does being conscripted for war count as being controlled? Im just curious, because it seems like women as a class have never been forced to give up their freedom as a person and be shipped off to kill people or possibly die. There's few things worse than that when it comes to mental and physical damage and scarring that comes from that. That's control on a different scale...

Men have never been inhibited, prohibited, controlled or contained in any way. Jesus, the level of cognitive dissonance required to unironically make that statement is astounding. Impressive, actually. That's literally what society does to everyone. It inhibits and prohibits people from doing certain things through societal pressures and laws. It also controls and contains everyone so that people are predictable and docile. Laws, societal norms, taboos, customs, and traditions all come together …

Totally agree, I'm not making a point that men are bound to be killed by society, although someone could arguably make that claim if we look at gender expectations and those results, more so that men are just a minority in society.

General practitioner. Basically a doctor who doesn't specialize in anything but would be great as a personal doctor to help with all kinds of issues or point to specialists if need be. Basically they treat your normal chronic and acute illnesses.

Men are the minority as well. Women make up a greater share of the population(at least in countries that don't have pretty f'd up reasons for killing wrong gender children.)

You are a peach, really... haha. You have to have proof that being male directly correlates with have bad grades. That was the study. Like you won't get any more proof than that. Re-read that carefully "In subjective tests such as English where teachers graded students without knowing who the student was". That is completely different from what you're saying. So? That doesn’t equal sexism. Boys have more behavioral problems than girls. So yes, a teacher’s going to be bias towards students that dont give them headaches. I do believe that is exactly sexism. Male students were graded lower when teachers knew they were boys. The same thing didn't occur for girls. So teachers grade boys lower JUST for being boys. That is literally sexism. Like by definition. Grading of homework and tests has nothing to do with their behavior. It has everything to do with …

All those groups had a built in demographic that believed them and supported them. They thought that they were oppressed and would help them through support. That same demographic that was supportive of those groups are actively anti male. There is no demographic in today's society that actively support and believe in men's struggles. Only those men who see the issue are supportive and that's such a small group.

I'm not saying it doesn't happen to women, it definitely does. Society is terrible to people who don't fit in. But society still sees marginal utility in women who don't fit in whereas men are useless and ultimately detrimental. The women are wonderful effect as well as women not generally being mass shooters helps their case.

Society throughout history has shamed and isolated men who don't fit in. They cause trouble, they are violent and unpredictable. It's not that they choose this life or don't try to get friends, society chooses to excommunicate them because its supposedly safer that way. "It takes a village to raise a child." Bullying, harassment, heckling, intimidation, abuse, peer pressure, name-calling, character assassination are some of the tactics used by society in order to try to control boys. It also tak…

No shit idiot. I'm saying feminism and Evolutionary psychology aren't really on the best speaking terms. So attractiveness is innate... somehow, and feminism is all about driving men into becoming unfuckable estrogen cuck boys, so I guess y'all can go lez out somewhere because we gonna socially condition ourselves into being extinct. You want to keep attraction to men, learn to live with some violence and aggression. It's really what y'all want anyways, someone to treat you like shit.

So... when feminists specifically in the name of feminism protest speeches by men who are talking about men's issues for men and get events shutdown... that isn't misandry within feminism? Seems like a cut and dry case of feminism shutting down men's issues and thus misandry. There is plenty of evidence online of feminist groups protesting peaceful men's rights speakers. Why are men getting killed? One of the primary scenarios where this happens is gang-related violence. Gangs are often the unfortunate result of poverty and high unemployment, but nonetheless, gangs are almost entirely male and promote a violent culture of "manliness" where often initiation involves murdering someone to prove ones masculinity. Other male homicide cases are often crime or drug related but not gang related. Men also have immensely high rates of homicide as the result of "escalated …

This term is used largely for young girls as part of a movement motivating women to pursue education and roles/jobs we've been barred from for the last few thousand years. It began as a term in the 70s for lesbian acceptance at a time where lesbianism was largely frowned upon. For subscribing to an ideology that talks about how important seeing positive role models and avoiding gendered language, you would think this would be completely anathema to what would be good for everyone. women won't fuck them/no girlfriend. Such a shallow level of examination. No, it's not. It's not that don't have girlfriends / women friends. It's because society as a whole has completely neglected them. "The future is female." It's being thrown out of classrooms for rowdy behavior. It's the school system treating them as defective women. School is taught for women, all of it is. Men have struggled in this for fifty years because of how catered it is to female learning. The statistics bear this…

There's plenty of misandry in feminism and if you can't see that, then you must just be blinded by privilege. What's the saying? "Those born in privilege are blind to it?"

For some trivial reason. That it? That's the end of your critical thought processes? That's where everyone critical of misandry ends. That's where the answers are though. People don't exist in a bubble. You don't just wake up one day is a misogynist. Things lead up to that. I'll bet you just don't want to look down that path because it goes against the narrative of "well men just hate women because." Totally agree with you on that. I won't say that men don't have a big problem with this, because they do. Something that we as men need to do something about. If only we could all just treat each other good. Totally agree with the "other's needs before our own wants" I like that.

The classic. Oh man, I love it. Women are struggling or doing worse: It must be because society is sexist and hates women and wants to control them. Men are struggling or doing worse: It must be because they are toxic and something must be wrong with them. This is literally the hot take by every single feminist theory into disparities between the sexes. Literally every single one. So funny haha.

Both men and women fuck this up. So many times I have been the emotional sponge and just had to sit and suck up all the negativity of my partner and as soon as I say one thing that's even remotely bothering me I'm being negative and it's not attractive and blah blah.

Are you implying causation between countries becoming feminist and quality of life? You think it could be that well off countries who have enough money to not worry about basic necessities have the luxury of turning their attention to "being feminist?" What if the DRC decided unilaterally to be feminist in whatever terms would warrant other countries considering it feminist? Would their quality of life be automatically better and not only that, but far better off than patriarchal countries

I thought it was society that enforces sexual desirability and what we consider attractive? Isn't that the sole idea of the blank slate and of societal conditioning? So the question wouldn't be dudes she doesn't want to fuck, it's what we as a society deem as being fuckable. I mean we can always just go back to disregarding societal concerns and hmmm... i guess go back to beating with women with a club and just choosing which women get fucked.

And men as a group in every society die sooner than women. I don't think it's as black and white as "women die more often because their symptoms are different." Sounds more like women outlive men and since heart attacks are generally a disease of old age, the statistics bear that out with unequal deaths because women reach older ages.

As women's participation in the economy increased, the need for a high paying job for single income households disappeared. It's not the fault of women, it's just that if two people are providing income for a family, there is little need of two incomes that high, so incomes did not raise with inflation. More people working leads to lower incomes. Highly technical fields in demand with a lower work force still pays immensely well, as supply is low.

You mean why cant they be women? If racial statistics are an issue, then sex based statistics are even worse. Race based sentencing = 20 percent difference. Sex based sentencing = 60 percent difference. Adjusted for recidivism rate, prior history, and how violent said crime was.

I mean... women are the ones who choose who procreates.... so, ultimately, yeah. They are responsible for it. By the choices they make, they are directly furthering genes that show a greater likelihood of having sexual tendencies and fantasies such as those. This is how and why humans are the way we are. Less variable women choose from the pool of very variable men. Given that we in general have more female than male ancestors is proof that a smaller proportion of men are responsible for how men…

Regardless, women who have sex with 13-16 year olds recieve less sentencing than men who have sex with 13-16 year olds. The original statement still holds that when viewed from the perspective of the women, the desire and action in and of itself is more socially acceptable even though the actions are the same.

Yes, because we all know the attractiveness axis is the perfect one dimensional determiner of how relationships and fucking should go. So let me guess, the ugly as sin dude has just got to live with it. You're only saving grace in that argument is the morally enforced monogamy. That is the only thing that could ever possibly keep a one dimensional system that you described in place. Which ultimately tells people to stay within their "class." Something about that seems kind of... hmmm... backward…

I mean you could try to disprove his logic, instead of being ignorantly steadfast in your views. Men and women aren't the same. There are no 1 to 1 comparisons between the sexes on these issues. They are different. People are different.

I mean, yeah 18 years. I don't remember families telling 5 year olds to take a hike and get their own life. Sure, younger kids require more care, but that doesn't mean that it falls off after 5 either. Still a huge responsibility for the family and one that a man would want to be sure is something of his making. It's survival of genes and the biological imperative to reproduce.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/04/20 06:04 PM

Other mammals don't raise children for 18+ years so I think your point is not really valid here. There's a difference in those mammals providing for all in the group and humans pair bonding and independently raising children.

So, coercion is not a thing? Abuse is not a thing? Lies? Threats? Accusations? So you are saying in relationships the only thing that matters is physical strength... are you an idiot? Brain damage? It is literally impossible for some. Hell, even a large proportion, I would argue will never have the needed raw talent, aptitude, or genetics(Read: attractive) to become successful and attractive. One or the other maybe, but hitting both is very unlikely.

The 6000 figure is wrong. Reread the study, that was the total deaths from those drugs, from all uses, not just for the purpose of puberty blocking. I think the actual number dying from using it for puberty blockers was in double digit range. Not to say the drugs are not harmful, they clearly are, but we don't need to be hyperbolic or misleading on the actual figure. Otherwise in general I agree with your viewpoint.
