You guys still read The Guardian? Why?

Imagine that we share this article in men's rights forums several thousand times. Then someone goes and debunks this article- I mean it's very much a strawman situation here considering the lack of sources or real cited situations. The same people that debunked this article then point to us and question our credibility. You see where I'm going with this? Just looked at all the images in the article, they're all sourced from whisper ffs: Anyone can post an anonymous message to the service in the …

Look at the sidebar for the sub's rule no 2: "Posts must provide value to the sub. No fake news." If you look at the article, it's basically random women allegedly "confessing" lying about being on birth control with no real sources or specifically outlined situations/consequences. AFAIK this stuff is low-effort, made up trash clearly targeting men's rights groups to get views. IMO it doesn't help us in any way.

I'm sorry what's the point of this again? This is typical Dailymail click-bait for views and we are giving them exactly that.

The very successful businessman stayed “happily married” to his wife for decades is because he was a “very successful” businessman. Women stay happily married to well to do men. Cue Kanye: “I ain’t sayin” she a golddigger..” Edit: grammar

This too shall pass. The only constant is change. Especially with mainstream media. They are backed by people who will run narratives that will make them rich/give them power in their domain. The woke narrative is what is helping them now so they will run with it. In a few years’ time it will be something else. I can already see the rise of a trans-exclusionary movement happening amongst feminists. Once they start getting support from the media (they’re getting some now with all the trans athlet…

This is hilarious! I'm currently seeing a girl from Flanders and I will tell her this joke lol. I've been living in France for the past 5 years and I hear these kinds of jokes all the time, its hilarious.

Global political trends tend to swing back and forth every 15-20 years. People change, even the wokes now will change eventually, at least some of them will. New issues will take priority and new movements will have their time of day. The children of wokes will grow up and rebel against their parents’ values and go the other way. The important thing to remember is that there is always hope.

How do you guys feel about the Belgians?

That’s being reactionary, which is more often than not, not a useful way to go about things. I would say listen to them and do what you feel is right for you.

This exactly. Reddit is not representative of the real world. Especially in non-English speaking countries, most people don’t know Reddit even exists.

I share your outrage but if we resort to making blanket statements about “all women” then we’re no different from the toxic feminists. Neither does bringing nuance to arguments make a guy a male-feminist/white knight.

Belgians lol, you French?

Don’t worry about the downvotes. I’m with you on this. I refuse to make blanket statements about women and I believe it’s what separates us from the usual feminist strawman discourse about “all men”

It’s better to ask these kinds of questions in male-specific subs. Lots of the commentors here have provided lots of great tips here. I’ll just add one more thing: have ambition in life. When you have specific long term goals that you’re working on achieving it’ll give your life meaning and you automatically start tuning out all the background noise and bullshit irrelevant to it. Some guys want to become millionaires, some guys want to make movies, some guys want to be the best basketball player…

She wrote an apology in a medium post. Of course its all about herself and how she must deal with this..

Aaaand she conveniently blames it on a "racist" 1982 american legal system and writes about how she must grapple with "...the role that I unwittingly played within a system that sent an innocent man to jail..." Refusing to take responsibility and even in the pathetic apology, she writes about herself and her feelings and her struggle in dealing with this.

Good actors are ones that keep variating their performance to get the director's approval. "Take 1 didn't work for you, let me try this in Take 2". The very same actors get paid millions to live in a bubble, isolated from normal people. When they do step out to talk in public like this, they end up saying things that they think the people want to hear, and if it doesn't land, they go "ok let me try this on Take 2" Stop asking actors questions outside of their work, these guys can convincingly pl…

She should be ordered to at least pay him damanges. She's a published author, can afford to pay the check she cashed from Netflix in damages.

I totally get you, I first got internet at home when i was 15 and porn came into my life. I learnt a lot about sex from porn when there was no other way to learn or no one to tell me about sex (apart from the usual health and safety stuff of sex ed at school). What I did not expect was that a bond was forming with my porn use. This was also the period in my life that women came into my life but sex was never as pleasurable as jerking off to porn. Why? Because porn provided endless novelty with n…

I get you. I certainly wouldn't want to shame any man for it, just basing this off of my personal experience and those of my close friends who struggled with porn addiction.

I've seen in my lifetime the argument go from "masturbation is bad" to "everyone does it so don't be ashamed, tug away", which is wonderful but the underlying problem is a lot of us use porn and eventually get addicted to it. My personal struggle has been with pornography and not with masturbation. I'm just glad I'm old enough to have never slipped into the onlyfans era, although some of my friends have. I personally feel No Nut November should be more No Porn November. To use your analogy of fo…

There was an interesting post in the CMV sub-reddit a while back, the delta comment shows a lot of research into French law. Perhaps it is relevant here: https://www.reddit.com/r/changemyview/comments/6hwojq/cmv_the_paternity_test_ban_in_france_shows/
