Calling circumcision mutilation is a disservice to actual mutilated people. So a circumcised man should be treated the same as an amputee?

Rape is a serious crime in the entire world and if those afghan boys are caught, they will be persecuted harshly. Can you say the same for circumcision? Comparing the two is just ignorance.

What kind of dumbass talks about an entirely different subject like rapes in fucking Afghanistan, when the topic at hand is male circumcision? wtf. talk to people more often in real life please.

But it isn't. There is no law against circumcision. Am I a lesser man now because of it?

Why are you always bringing that up when we are clearly talking about circumcision? Do you have rape fetish or something.

Okay I was "mutilated", if you say so. Now what?

Who are you to decide that how I grew up in is wrong?

Mutilate verb: inflict a violent and disfiguring injury on TIL all the males in my country, with a pop 100M, are mutilated and can no longer procreate. You keep saying that word yet you don't know what it means.

Will a toddler know what's good for them to decide? Of course it's entirely up to the parents. Are you a parent? Do you know any parents who would want to hurt their newborn willingly? possibly making you lose your reproductive function, or making it a lot harder to bear anything that happens in that area In my country, the males are all circumcised and we are at a risk of overpopulation, so yeah, that is entirely false.

Nah, I'm glad I got circumcised.

removes a fair bit of nerve endings lower sensitivity Says who? Are you circumcised to say so?

TIL circumcision is the same as rape.

There is no such thing as a scientific method of "growing up". Growing up depends on the culture of the people and my culture includes male circumcision. Think tattoos, tattoos aren't necessary, but there are cultures in the world where getting native tattoos is a part of growing up. Who are you to say that it is wrong?
/r/MensRights11/03/19 10:13 AM

is definitely NOT a part of growing up. It's as if different countries have different understandings of growing up.

So there is nothing wrong with circumcision itself? The only problem lies in the consent. So if a child willingly asks his parents for a circumcision, would that be okay for you?
/r/MensRights11/03/19 09:53 AM

So what is wrong with it? My whole life I have believed that circumcision is just a part of growing up.

I don't know the details of female circumcision, so I cannot say. At least with male one, I have first hand experience to give an opinion.

From personal experience, I can say that both are false.

Serious question: I'm from a part of the world where circumcision is as normal as growing up for boys. What exactly is wrong with it?
/r/MensRights11/03/19 08:03 AM
You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
