And it's been removed for "being more about feminism than men's issues". I can't see the body of your post but how does something about women automatically mean feminism? Most women aren't even feminists.

Most feminist arguments always revolve into “well, we’ve had it worse for years” comments. The point is we’re now in equality-mode, so it shouldn’t matter what you or I had to deal with in the past.

Isn’t that because men are more aggressive drivers and are involved in more accidents?

Not that I agree with women being too emotional to hold leadership positions, but their reaction doesn’t do well for the stereotype.

I agree. See to be a huge Greens supporter until I realised the Overton window shifted radically left.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates30/05/20 01:39 AM

But the Australian Greens said coronavirus is a gendered issue.. for women, because women are on the front lines. Men actually dying more than women wasn’t worth their time apparently. I forgot Clementine Ford was still relevant. She should just disappear. I’m surprised she was nominated for an award.

Sorry I misread your comment. Thought you said pro-choice. I’m very tired, forgive me.

Well that’s my point. It would be a huge issue because the woman has body autonomy but the baby doesn’t. Pro-lifers could argue that an unborn baby should have a right to not be harmed just like a born baby does with their genitalia, for example.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates29/05/20 07:54 AM
2

Well of course but my understanding was that r/Intactivism is a body autonomy movement in general, not restricted to genital mutilation.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates29/05/20 07:32 AM
1

I understand but since body autonomy was brought up I thought it was worth mentioning. It’s a right that’s exclusive to women because men don’t get a choice in the abortion process.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates29/05/20 07:30 AM

They said the subreddit was about body autonomy. A woman’s right to choose an abortion is a body autonomy issue. Since men have issues with their role in the decision-making process of abortions, I thought it was relevant to this sub as well.

I assume r/Intactivism is pro-choice when it comes to abortion. I strongly believe that as long as the sex was consensual or not illegal, the potential baby has a right to live if both parents don’t agree to get an abortion. A baby doesn’t have autonomy so it needs someone fighting for its right to live.

I’m probably the last person to be mentioning toxic masculinity. I hate that feminist oppressive patriarchy and toxic masculinity bullshit. However, keeping emotions bottled up inside is toxic masculinity. It’s a toxic form of masculine behaviour that doesn’t help us. We should be feeling more free to express our emotions. I don’t agree that sharing that information with his wife would be “emotional labour” though. A marriage is a partnership and they ought to share things with each other that t…

No mate, I don’t have a problem with men complaining about feminists I have a problem with this sub doing it on a daily basis with low effort posts not furthering any discussion and insight on men’s issues as a whole.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates26/04/20 11:09 PM

Sorry about the hyperbole but I was frustrated with everyone dismissing the issues of the sub lately.

I’m in the same mindset but I’m sure people could do quick shares of articles that are pro-men without complaining about women.

Unfortunately too many people aren’t creating good discussion and are setting the wrong tone by downvoting anyone who thinks this stuff is getting old. I’ll see if I can come up with some good discussion posts to create some variety for this place, but if this keeps up I’m gonna have to look elsewhere.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates26/04/20 03:35 AM

So am I but you don’t hear me bitching about it every day. At this point it’s just preaching to the choir with this stuff all the time. It just feeds the victim narrative and not taking any responsibility. I know it’s hard being a guy these day’s but we still have balls, right?

If you read my comments you would see that I’m not complaining that people do it but that’s all people are doing lately.

It wasn’t as bad when I joined though, it seems to have gotten worse over the past month or two. Maybe it due to too many men in self isolation getting depressed? I understand how it can happen, I get very lonely and suffer from ADHD, so self isolation is doing a number on me too.

This was meant to be a good alternative to it, because this place rightfully allows critique of feminism. But this place is turning into another MRA sub. It’s either feminism or MRA with these subs.

I said the problem I have is that this sub is being littered with this stuff day-in, day-out. It’s almost becoming an alternate MRA sub. Someone from MensLib said I have internalised misogyny before being banned, now I have internalised misandry. Please read my comment in full not just the parts which feed your confirmation bias.

It’s complaining about women having more power than men because she instigated the confrontation and didn’t suffer any consequences. Don’t get me wrong, this shit pisses me off, but all I’ve seen lately is people post shit complaining about women saying or doing something they disagree with. It’s fine to do that, but this sub has been littered with it lately and it’s getting tired. If I wanted to read this shit all day I’d join the MRA sub, which has lots of posts crossposted here by the way. As…

Is it just me or has this sub become more about complaining about women than bringing up discussions about how to improve men’s rights?
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates25/04/20 11:55 PM

Because the general thing people want to do is silence white people in general. That’s the main goal. White men just have it harder. I’m a straight cis white atheist male so I’m pretty high on the wanted list.

I’m sorry but I don’t understand why this is being posted here. This is mainly a racial issue, not a men’s issue.

Can we seriously stop with these women hating complaining posts? This sub is meant to be a place to talk about men’s issues and how to progress. Not just complaining about stuff we’ve heard a billion times from an MRA sub.

I thought it was amusing how they don’t consider our sub left wing yet the majority of US members would probably be Bernie voters over Biden or Clinton, who are neoliberals.

The sub rules specifically allow anti-feminist views because there are some feminist views that are anti-men. I think the mods are more than capable of monitoring the comments and promoting discussions so that they don’t lead to the sub becoming a “lazy cesspit of toxic attitudes”. I’ll to create a text post in future with more nuance but I didn’t have the time to do that when I posted this. I didn’t know it was against the subs rules or what it stands for. I figured if it was the mods would dea…

I'd need to see evidence that this senator was dismissive towards male workplace deaths until it affected women She’s never brought up workplace deaths for men. You can’t prove a negative. I've never come across her before, is she even a self-proclaimed feminist? She proclaims herself as one in her Twitter bio. regarding COVID-19 affecting men more due to genetics, has that been proven? "Women have intrinsically different immune responses to men. Women are more likely to suffer from auto-immune …

Sorry I didn’t want to make the title too wordy. If I was to add more to elaborate on why this is male advocacy, it would be as follows: We need to change the cultural norms that treat men as disposable. This senator is suggesting that women are most affected by COVID-19 because more women work in healthcare than men. The first problem with her comments is that prior to the pandemic, men made up most workplace related deaths but she didn’t think it was a problem until it affected women. Despite …

It depends on how many hours her course requires per week compared to his work. It’s also complicated because they’re engaged. They plan on being together forever so it’s in his interest to support her to get a better job and if that means they split chores so she has a higher chance of passing and getting work it’s not worth arguing about.

It anything the guy having to propose to the woman and provide buy an expensive engagement ring is subjugation of the man. Imagine if women had to purchase an engagement ring, ask for their partners parents permission then go to all this effort to setup an amazing proposal. Doesn’t really happen except a video made to go viral.

My favourite time was when someone said “egalitarianism needs feminism to fight toxic masculinity” and when I brought up toxic femininity also being a problem they said “toxic femininity is internalised misogyny”. I’m willing to have a discussion about toxic masculinity but if you aren’t willing to acknowledge toxic femininity’s existence, there’s no conversation worth being had.
