When I first traded up to a 30D from an Olympus point and shoot, I was appalled at the amount of PP I had to do to get the polish I would get from the Olympus. One of my most successful shots was from that little guy.

I agree with almost everything you're saying, but my issue with goldieblox stems from my feeling that toys shouldn't be aimed at any particular gender. Rather, they should be aimed at personalities and interests. Maybe, especially in the case of aiding the education of children, it makes sense to exploit any physiological differences in the male and female mind as a more direct means to a positive ends, if a physiological difference actually exists and can be exploited.
