This isn't specifically a male issue either.

Personally, I think it's better to get no attention than attention from awful women. I understand loneliness, but I don't know why so many people derive their self-worth on what other people think about them.

What exactly are your goals? If you're looking for an equal partner, a woman you can respect for her capabilities, the red pill isn't enough to seduce one. If you're looking for easy sex with insecure and naive girls seeking validation, it's not that difficult to do so using the red pill.

I'm not saying any of it is justified, but defense mechanisms and insecurity are perceived as negative traits. It brings out the worst of our behavior. My short answer is both.

I don’t think it’s demonized, I think it’s ridiculed. Like most cringey ego defenses.

How did they get so big in the first place, and when?

Even if everyone perceives you as a stereotype, how would they make friends out of strangers in the first place? No one wants to befriend a creep or a convict. That is not to say assholes exist, but I don’t think racism plays a huge role in most of these situations. What’s the worst that can happen from cold approaching a girl and asking to get coffee together? Most women are reasonable and they’ll decline. From then on, don’t be persistent. I think this underlining belief that most women are no…

I’m Eastern Asian and I don’t think I have trouble pulling dates, and I wouldn’t call myself athletic or conventionally handsome. I know plenty of charismatic Indian men who don’t have an issue with pulling girls either. That is not to say racial prejudice does play a role. For that, people should be self-aware. If you’re a big black male you probably shouldn’t approach strangers at night. And if a girl does have perceived bias against you, she isn’t worth dating anyway. That is not to say it go…

I stop being baffled by the comments when I realize this is Reddit. Is it really that hard to be respectful of a girl’s boundaries when you ask her out? If keep up your hygiene and presentation, no one is automatically going to see you as a predator, just a stranger. It’s possible to approach a girl and be straightforward of your interest without being creepy. How else have you guys ever made friends from strangers IRL? It’s the same idea.

Attraction helps but it shouldn’t be too difficult to be respectful even when you flirt with women.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
