Yeah I mean there's anecdotal advice and just posting based on opinion, the latter of which is what I've seen. I mean I know new people wanna feel involved, but you gotta self moderate a bit too. It's great that people wanna have a conversation but if you're not here to take some shit for what you say and have a one-sided conversation, you can do that with your mates at your house. There is no one way to pick-up women, just a lot of really shit ways. This advice should be to help you be prepared…

Yeah I have to agree with you the commenting has not been up to snuff, and I have almost abandoned this sub for advice. And as well about mimicking when speaking but I would add that your meet-up plans have to be more aggressive but you have to be more forgiving about them. At least in the sense that it has to be really concrete and that a flake might mean nerves, not that she doesn't want to see you.

So once I'm on the tram it takes like 20 minutes but the bus I took yesterday took a half hour to arrive....because i don't know the schedule well. And honestly I really don't know. They have my roommates numbers but always text me to ask what were doing. I ended up not even talking to them very much at all (we went to a party where i knew other people).

I think you misunderstood a bit. My roommates were holding me from meeting up with a group of girls. The girls were already out at 8:30, I got there at like 11-11:30. And yeah you're right I should have just ditched em hours ago.

Yeah don't be nervous about going out without friends. Take it as good thing that you are more mobile and independent. If you still have trouble meeting people or with AA, ask the host who they think you should meet. Sometimes a definite target makes all the confusion more simple.

Yeah i find i listen to a lot of reggae and jazz before i go out just cause I like it more than party music and it gets me in a good mode. Kind of like an "alright, man, what are we doing?"

I was not able to think of a good example when i made the post but here goes. What I mean by twisting words is taking something that a girl says completely out of context, usually my attempt at humor.
