My intention wasn’t to minimize. Despite men being just as likely to be cheated on, I almost only hear women publicly mention it while men only do it privately/anonymously. Woman’s pain isn’t mocked, they aren’t called cucks, they aren’t seen as less of a woman by society. In the same way a woman and a man who sleep around are seen different, a woman and a man who get cheated on respectively are seen differently.

Yea, men are definitely more clowned and shamed on for getting cheated on. “He took your girl” is significantly worse than “she took your man”. It’s known men are easier to bed while someone else “taking your girl” implies they are better than you and got what you got for less. edit: the perfect example of this is Will Smith

- no, women rate mens looks adequately. theres a higher standard to meet male beauty so they are rated less in womens eyes -no, men rate womens looks adequately. theres a lower standard to meet female beauty so they are rated higher in mens eyes - women are usually kinder and may overrate in face to face looks criticism, but they may just consider beauty as effort and styling a lot of the times. self ratings are usually lower though - younger men rate other men correctly, older men dont

So based on mate value, if a woman is lower in mate value he only wants casual, if she is of equal value he wants her to have sex early still but it inevitably will lower her value to casual only, and if she is of higher value only then will he be okay with not having sex immediately but then the woman is only left to date men lower than her and is subsequently not into them? But this all hinges on the median mate value man not wanting the median mate value women if she has sex early, which I di…

But your saying women choose men wrong because men want sex fairly soon into dating. How does men wanting sex to guage interest levels create a scenario that makes her not be able to choose? The categories aren’t that fluid, men dont want to take the women who they just want to casually sleep with on dates unless they ofcourse of feigning interest for a long term relationship?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/26 10:48 PM

This is kinda the “irreconcilable differences” both young men and women face in dating that leads to less and less coupling. Men pay for the actions of men who lie to women to sleep with them quicker and women pay for the actions of women who feign “not being that kinda girl”. Its kinda the same thing I guess.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/26 08:55 PM

He might still keep pursuing her in spite of her not sleeping with him because of the mate value difference, but if she was to sleep with him do you think his interest in her would change so significantly he’d slip her into the “fuck only” category? Maybe among the religion for thee and not me folks?

“show me a hot woman and I’ll show you a guy who is tired of fucking her” Tend to find that the opposite is usually true, woman grow tired of monogamous sex much faster than men.

Yes, in this new era of dating men are not interpreting the delaying of sex as “wow she must really think I’m special and doesn’t want to mess things up”. The previous form of thinking (yours) made sense when there was more rigid patriarchal guidelines and social enforcement, it doesn’t hold anymore (in the west at least.). Looks, socioeconomic standing and sexual enthusiasm is probably the best way to get a man you want for a long term relationship wanting to keep going on dates. The sanctity o…

The hypothetical man who really likes a girl, wants to date her, finds her hot, but after the first date she’s all over him and wants to have sex so much so that he no longer views her a “high value woman” so he can’t possibly be in a relationship with her doesn’t really exist anymore. Maybe like 60 years ago for a small blip in history did it exist. The differentiation from the 2 categories is usually just who he views as someone with similar mate value to himself, not the delaying of sex.

It fits the idea of being able to accurately assess if a man is promiscuous/sexually successful by asking yourself “can he beat me up”.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/26 06:01 PM
2

It is mostly insecurity about what’s in their pants since sex is mostly comes down to male performance. Women would also care about body count if they had an equivalent expectation but there really isn’t one in relation to sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/26 02:57 PM

Obviously guys dont know what sex acts were done to other partners before them, but the assumption is they aren’t prudes. Timing is what is used to gauge interest because of the unknown assumed “before” period.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/26 07:12 PM

Not really one size fits all more-so just a method used to gauge interest.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/26 05:26 PM

That feeling is called insecurity. I feel the same way except swap casual sex with relationships. I don’t quite understand why women get insecure about men having sex with them maybe by them just passing the “attractiveness bar”. For men it makes a little more sense since the burden of performance during sex is heavily weighed onto them. But if you’re a woman your “performance” is kinda secondary while a man’s is the actual make or break.

If I was to put myself in your hypothetical where a girl shows interest in me, enthusiastically has sex with me, and then tells her friends im a loser beta bucks that grosses her out, it would invoke confusion more than anything else. Mostly because it just wouldn’t be a good equivalent as I’d have to put horseblinders on ignoring the reality that a woman would never have sex casually with a man she found unattractive as “beta bux” would imply. Maybe an actual equivalent hypothetical would be a …

You’re spot on. Sex with (non sex worker) hot women is the ultimate status symbol but the sex itself is the least important component driving the force behind the status.

Honestly most men dont think like him. Most men would just be happy their having sex. Men say they “dumpster dived” to save face to their friends but they usually still rate those women even if its just casual. Be kind to yourself.

trueuglywomen have diverse opinions because they have to ignore mens varied preferences. its why some girls in there preach skinny, some preach curvy etc. the reason mens spaces are essentially a circlejerk is cuz theyve autisticly narrowed down which traits are weighted the most. autisticly since autistic dudes usually struggle the most.

? Do you think women are vying after men without experience? Men who don’t know how to date, have sex, approach women? You even mention they’re overlooked by women? For most women a man even seeing an escort would be an automatic no.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/26 09:42 PM

Literally man. You take the traits of them and read them off to women and they’d be the first to tell you no. Simply paying an escort automatically would be a no.

Do you genuinely believe “good character” is a trait that drives sexual attraction? What would that even look like?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/26 08:18 PM
7

Sure, but because it’s the path of least resistance to getting what they want. If “good character” got them what they wanted wouldn’t they just do that?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/26 07:29 PM
10

Moral corruption isn’t a driver of sexual attraction, neither is good character. These are things we look for in people who actually have OTHER characteristics that drive our sexual attraction towards them. Guys should aspire to have good character, but when it gets repeated ad nauseam to struggling men you lead them to believing it isn’t something actually valued.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/26 07:23 PM
11

100%, but “good character” gets amplified so much as if it is this great driver of sexual attraction/chemistry to reason why men may have trouble dating. It just isn’t.

You have to see the contradiction that your clients are “men women would choose over the bear” and “the guys women want to date” but also seemingly have a difficult time dating that they have to seek out an escort for companionship right?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/26 05:33 PM
2

I mean theres probably a correlation between the attitude of these guys “feeling sick to their stomachs” while also needing to pay escorts. The frat boys and fuckboys may have a “disgusting” mindset from a womans point of view but also don’t need to resort to paying a woman for them to hangout. Johns don’t exactly strike me as very dersirable to women to be honest.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/26 04:53 PM
2

Yea I’d agree with your definition as more accurate and the one most men are referring to when mentioning af/bb. Essentially saying the guys she actually likes aren’t someone who you can start a stable family with so she chooses a guy she who doesn’t necessarily fit her likes in order to have a family but it doesn’t mean complete sexlessness, reduced tho yes.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/26 01:25 PM
2

You honestly can’t. Promiscuous women are kinda a random draw on what they look like. You could tho probably point out promiscuous men from evaluating them on aggression, capacity for violence (do you think they could beat you up, etc).
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/26 12:53 AM

He clearly doesn’t really care, she’s probably one of dozens of matches he gets since the likes disproportionately go to the top (notice how she messages him first) so he just throws shit at the wall. I always find it funny how women say the “male loneliness epidemic” is self-inflicted to men who clearly are not lonely.

In a way yes. If men had access to sex the way women have access to sex most men wouldn’t enter relationships as much as they currently do and act like gay men instead who are notoriously single.

No. From a womans perspective limiting your dating pool is a good strategy since you’re inundated with potential partners. From a mans perspective limiting your dating pool is quite literally asking to make your chances of dating worse than they already are.

Very true, but I don’t personally believe desire is unfalsifiable. Less desire -> less leverage -> more “resources” needed. Going off data its probable to assume OP got married at later in life, earns more than the spouse they marry, does more housework, etc all in the spirit of compensating for a lack of desire (shortness, overweight, etc.)
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/26 08:38 PM
-8

Most guys don’t doubt that you can get into relationships though, what most guys doubt is usually desire. There’s obviously no way to know the inner works of your particular relationship, but being 5’6 and overweight and in a relationship doesn’t really say anything.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/26 06:25 PM
2

Fair, but it seems that at every marker, men only have it “better” than a female counterpart at the apex. For men, outside of being say top x% in class, money, family, looks, etc, it’s probably better going through life in the west as a woman THEORETICALLY. The life satisfaction index from going from a median woman -> top x% woman is probably smaller than the difference from going from median man -> top x% man. Male variance is greater so you have more men negatively impacted.

I'd imagine sexual attention/frequency when single does have a noticeable impact on the experience. Women having lower frequencies of wanting sex, combined with the ability to get sex very easily leads to an easier time being single. It's not like most woman are not sexually active when single. Compare that to single men (who most are also sexually active but less so) who have a higher frequency of wanting sex combined without the ability to get sex very easily leads to a less easy time being si…

The first part is correct but the second part is wrong. A woman who gives it up early and a man not sticking around isn’t indicative of said man viewing her as easy, he most likely just never intending of wanting anything other than sex from her. No guy is viewing a woman he dates, who he views as desirable, as no longer worth it because she slept with him on the first date, literally does not happen.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/26 06:48 PM

“If his libido is lower, I wouldn’t take it personally.” I’d agree, but the thing is you can’t necessarily conclude it’s lower because it just happens to be lower in general, or if it’s lower FOR YOU specifically. It’s not uncommon for people to get divorced/end relationships and suddenly their libido “magically” is like it never left. Most couples don’t get into relationships expecting the sex to starve off even it’s a common dynamic. You think you wouldn’t take it personal, no one does.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/26 01:46 AM

You know he can’t demand a lot of sex because he isn’t that desirable and wouldn’t be able to procure it outside of a relationship, you don’t view him as a particularly good deal and don’t ever worry about him leaving therefore you can dictate the frequency of sex rather than him. True for most heterosexual relationships tbh. But it’s also why men view rebuttals of “but most men are in relationships” to certain claims as useless. It’s probably worse on the male psyche to be in a relationship and…

It’s hard to buy the sexual exchange isn’t close to as mutual as possible since the advent of modern contraceptives. Most women aren’t burdened with the reproductive labor unless they specifically choose to want to bear a child. It’s not like a woman has sex and therefore she is insta-guaranteed to be pregnant. The greatest risk is largely mitigated and more and more women are choosing to not bear children. Men want the burden their grandfathers had to be removed as the burden placed on their gr…

> Most women who are young and not overweight are not considered cute. What? You are crazy if you don’t think most young men aren’t going to find most women who are also young, not overweight cute. Weight is like 90% of being cute for women.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/26 04:44 PM

> The men want the same deal that their grandfather's got No, most men want a woman who is mutual in effort and desire. Grandfather's were men who were with women who didn't desire but depended on them. So to men a woman who has autonomy, can earn a salary, still wanting provision like her grandmother had, doesn't exactly feel optimal.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/26 02:01 PM

In the dating range OP is probably talking about (18-35 where almost all the dating takes place) it’s pretty common to find a large % cute. It’s genuinely harder to be not cute as a woman than it is cute to men.

Your right. It also explains why most men view courting as jester. Having to court your looksmatch who makes similar income, lives a similar life, all for her to still probably desire and actually want the hotter guy more even just for sex seems like a pretty terrible deal just like the woman having only sex with her looksmatch is a terrible deal.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/26 05:07 PM

Because a couple decades ago, you were doing this for women who actually didn’t have as much economic opportunities as you. Having to jester for a woman who makes just as much money as you, is just as educated as you, will be seen as an indication of low interest by men.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/26 02:40 PM

Guys wouldnt view your self-described chad boss who choses to be in a relationship as less since the worldview usually is that the chads (chad is just a synonym for top x%, actually desirable, etc.) are the only ones women actually want. If your boss was not tall, didn’t have all his hair, wasn’t athletic, but still a partner at a national firm only then would he be seen as less than a “chad” since that archetype doesn’t usually invoke high desire. Yes but most lesbians arent looking for or expecting a real penis because they are attracted to women. Straight women expect a reasonably sized penis attached to a human male
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/26 01:06 AM

Active dating age women (mostly 18-40) are for the most part ( >51%) found attractive by men. It takes a lot to not find a woman attractive tbh so non-hot women are the minority, and they usually can become hot easily if they tried.

/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/26 04:56 AM

Men can take looksmaxxing as far as they can be discreet about it. As long as you don’t mention how much effort you actually put in and instead act like it’s “natural” women won’t care. They’d get turned off knowing how much effort you are putting in before your actual physical appearance from it.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/06/26 09:28 PM
6

Women always say “men would never give an ugly woman” a chance as if it’s a gotcha when the reality is men don’t give ugly women a chance because men don’t find most women ugly. Having to give “chances” in dating is only for women as they find most of their potential dating partners as “non-attractive”.

It is pretty hard for me to understand tbh. The hardest part usually deals with the fact that there clearly is a smaller % of men who do invoke similar visual arousal in women to how men experience it. I think most young men (or maybe just myself) now feel like we just might not make that cut of being visually sexually desirable to a potential partner. Or maybe I’m just extremely neurotic for a man to be worrying about these things.

Ok I can somewhat see your perspective on not feeling special based on sex alone, I just disagree that a man wanting sex with a women who also wants to have sex with him back as a version of settling. Settling in my eyes would be him going outside of his desired 60% because none of them want him, which is what I feel like happens with women more often since if they go into a room of 100 men, they probably will only be interested in 10 men and the likelyhood that those 10 men want them back and m…

What does waiting to see if they like the woman even mean? If men find a woman sexually attractive, theyre gonna like her on some level because theyre sexually attracted to her. Theyre going to want to talk to her and yes sleep with her and maybe progress to something more.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/26 02:47 AM

Why is it seen as settling just because men have higher variability in what they find attractive? For example, I’m in my 20s, I’d say among women around my age I easily find probably 50% I encounter attractive sexually, how would that make me settling if I was to choose someone from a larger pool vs a woman having to choose from a smaller pool and being much more likely to have to choose a man outside that small pool by pure numbers?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/26 02:15 AM

I wonder if it’s just psychological It wouldn’t matter because the burden of performance during sex is mostly on men. Even if you could see how “big” a woman’s genitals were it would always be framed as the man being “too small” and not the woman being “too big”.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 05:46 PM

No, if men were comparing how different vaginas felt it’d be known. There would be a lot more “does pussy size matter” questions relative to how often “does dick size matter” questions are asked, and it’s probably because one clearly matters and is more often compared and one isn’t.

Fat women have just as much height preferences as non-fat women. In fact I’ve seen multiple self-identified fat women mention/comment wanting significantly taller men who will make them feel smaller because they are fat.

Thats obese yea your right but i guess i was thinking about women who store fat well at 170lbs so above average in that regard The women they describe is surrounded by beta orbiters If that’s how they describe it then they are definitely talking about Stacy, however i think a more common sentiment shared is that their options for relationships and sex are greater combined with a more passive role in dating, which is true for non-stacy women.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/26 03:07 AM

I live in America So do I, the average women’s weight is probably around 170lbs and would kinda meet the “not excessively overweight” in my opinion. And it won’t be as much an issue when better glps are developed and readily available/affordable. But the problem is are they above average? No but this isn’t a unique issue to men. Going to above average doesn’t make them stacy chasing like it would’t make women chad chasing for going slightly above average.

Looksmaxxers usually do these comparisons to kinda drive a point that the traits that make women attractive are more commonplace and not as narrow. Women can be attractive at different weights, short or tall, strong jaw or weak jaw, big eyes or narrower eyes, more feminine or more masculine, whereas men’s attractiveness needs to be skewed to the masculine traits and are therefore significantly less commonplace. Yea 99.9 percent of men will never have the combination of having low body fat and muscle size for it to be a negative in terms of attracting women. Like even if you work out frequently and are strict on diet, unless you take significant amounts of anabolics most men will never be able to get big enough naturally for it to be a negative.

We women take in the full/whole man and judge him for his entirety to see if we’d like to date him. I don’t necessarily disagree, but I do wonder how women would react if men described their attraction to women as “I may see a women who is lower on the physical attractiveness scale but she has a bunch of other factors that make me feel served, respected, desired, etc.” I don’t think they’d be fond of it tbh.

Men don’t really mock women in general after a break up by attacking their appearance while women do at a significantly higher rate. They’ll say among their friends or post how they were doing “charity work” or just that he was ugly/short and “gave him a chance” etc.

A woman I know has never personally told me “yea no I’m dating this guy I don’t find physically attractive” but it’s not like they’re just sharing that info willy nilly. Men also date women they aren’t that into either but no guy has admitted to me he dated someone he didn’t find attractive or dated someone as a placeholder. People usually keep that stuff close to their chest and when they break up give some other answer. And you’re right there is no reason for why I should get it, but I think w…

Women definitely do enter relationships with men they don’t find that attractive, same with men but less so because men have a more evenly distributed bell curve of what they are into. Or maybe this is just my inability to imagine how some women’s attractiveness to certain men work because I sometimes see the men they date and I just don’t get how they’re into them physically. Like I truly can’t believe it. It’s like the 8th wonder of the world for me.

Women’s pasts aren’t really an issue if a man currently feels very desired by his girlfriend/wife, but if a man is already feeling that his girlfriend/wife isn’t desiring him that much and he sorta understands that she could have had past sexual encounters like one you describe, it’s pretty inevitable he’s going to feel somewhat insecure about it. Clearly in your case you desire you husband and find him very attractive, but let’s be real its not unreasonable to say a decent chunk of women probab…

Fat women or single moms aren’t really a 1:1 to male height since they both are consequential rather than deterministic. Plus in the age of GLPs, as more become less expensive and even more available through generics being fat won’t be a negative for women since most will be able to keep the weight down. I don’t think you can make any comparison to being short as a man to something trait women have that would impact their outcomes at a similar rate that it would impact mens, it truly is unique.

I’m a bit curious. If you don’t mind me asking how has your attraction changed? Did you go from a straight man to straight woman? How do you feel attraction now vs then?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/26 04:26 PM

This is kinda a pretty big exaggeration that gets repeated all the time. Sure men are less picky in the sense they find more overall women attractive, but to say men engaging in casual sex as regularly sticking their dicks in anything without ANY attraction isn’t true because if it was straight men would be having sex with other men everywhere.

The “switching between all kinds of car” is the point where men and women arrive at a divergence. Men interpret it as “all kinds of car in the sports car category only”, implying the highly desirable cars. Where women would view it as “all kinds of car period: sport, sedan, truck, etc.” Men can’t actually see what exact cars the women are driving so it’s assumed they’re the more sporty ones.

I’m interested to why you believe men are taught about dating at a young age. Saying that men might be more interested in dating at a younger age and seek out resources on dating would be true and why the “manosphere” is fairly large and young men gravitate to listening to men who are “successful” with women. we have to learn that shit through actually experiencing it cuz no one from our youth ever taught us how to avoid modern day players Of young men, what percentage do you think are modern da…

While I agree that not every women who has a bad experience is choosing wrong, after a certain point if a group of women are complaining that experience after experience the men are acting poorly can we eventually say that it seems like you should be choosing better? Among women you hear “men are scared of commitment they just string you along” and it’s like really? All the men you dare are consistently doing this? Young men tend to hear this and associate it with dating the same men and thats h…

Women also write help articles online and forums on how to spot and avoid players Does’t this kind of imply that they need advice to avoid them because without some guidance women naturally gravitate to the same cohort of “player” men? Like sure women don’t like “players” but at the same time have trouble avoiding them despite majority of men not being “players” leading men to aspire to have the qualities players have and inadvertently seeing themselves as less “valuable”.

Casual sex in general is much less prevalent with genZ anyway because the dont drink as much True. GenZ in general I’d say goes outside less and spends more time online as well. I’d argue “situationships” are the “casual sex” for GenZ. A more online generation usually ends up with men feeling left out of romantic interactions compared to women, as women who try to date online get inundated with likes/matches while only few man experience the same. With online interaction women get “situationship…

I don’t think it is just men perpetuating the idea that sexual success = value. Men are very under-sexualized and they feel it, so when they look at the men who are sexualized they desire to become that since women show great affection to those men since they have desirable qualities, therefore if a man isn’t has sex casually it is validating his feeling of feeling less than. Women don’t necessarily get this because virtually most (greater than 51%) of women are “sexualized” unlike men (probably…

This is always so funny to me because most casual sex happens because someone is horny and available. I always hear this on here but I never see it actually play this way in real life. Maybe its because I am young, but most “casual sex” I see women have is sex they might not consider “casual” because they hope it progresses into something more like a relationship but the man never intends to progress in that way. It’s why the term “situationship” has become popular and it’s always women describi…

Seems like possible false assumptions. I mean I had sex with a guy that wasn’t even that hot he was like average and short. Kinda pissed I wasted an N on him to be honest. Do you believe this is the case for most women who hookup as well? Just hooking up with regular men who aren’t anything special and men’s assumptions that women who hookup usually hookup with hotter men than the men they enter long-term relationships with are wrong? I think that is insecurity. I’d agree, but an understandable …

So why then are they offended if the women they are dating will not sleep with them fast (will not hook up with them), or tells them that she wouldn't of hooked up with them? From a mans perspective, not wanting to hookup with a women almost always means you don’t find her that appealing, so men assume a women not wanting to hookup/have sex fast means she doesn’t find you that attractive, especially considering she most likely did hookup with some man at some point. A man views the person she ho…

Men calling pretty women “mid” on the internet are done 9/10 times by engagement baiters who would if given the opportunity irl would absolutely be interested in dating said women. I do however see just as many posts about epidemics of men being chopped, where are the hot men, etc. I don’t see posts of men asking “where are the hot girls” or “I rarely see attractive women when I go out”.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/26 09:30 PM

The default women for men is already attractive because most women (I’d wager easily 50%) around men’s age range are attractive to men, ESPECIALLY young men (18-30) which I’d bet a lot of men in this sub are. I think most women would be surprised the wide range of women men find appealing and why men find it jarring how little women find (within their age range) men attractive.
