Bad sex is not rape. But isn't your definition vague? It leaves people in court to argue about what ability they had to resist. What if there are psychological factors? Who knows how hard it was to resist except for the person who was allegedly raped? | /r/MensRights | 21/03/13 05:29 PM
Bad sex is not rape.Yeah I agree with your rule to live by also applied to non-anal things that are out of the known comfort zone. Things would be so much simpler if people followed that rule. I think unannounced anal could be rape if the receiver was not comfortable with it and there was no reasonable expectation that they should be. I'm not a lawyer either though. | /r/MensRights | 21/03/13 04:30 AM
Bad sex is not rape.Is it rape if unannounced anal happens and the receiver is too scared to speak up? | /r/MensRights | 20/03/13 04:48 PM
Bad sex is not rape.Being spontaneous is usually considered to be sexy in our culture. I think it would be kind of cool if it were sexy to be vocal about consent. It seems like it would eliminate some of these issues. | /r/MensRights | 20/03/13 04:45 PM
Bad sex is not rape.Quite possibly true. I think of anything involving someone dominating/being "in charge" as being in the direction of BDSM. However, I don't think it's that important whether it's labeled BDSM or not. The main thing is that it was something outside the established comfort zone. My main question was regarding how far outside the established comfort zone you have to go in order for there to not be consent. | /r/MensRights | 20/03/13 06:48 AM
Gender gap? In tech salaries there is no such thing. Is technical recruiter a technical job? They have to know some stuff, but you are more HR than anything else. Correct me if I'm wrong. | /r/MensRights | 20/03/13 06:29 AM
**UPDATE** A friend if mine recently became a women's studies major/feminist. This argument ended our friendship [facebook]:( why are people down voting this? Anecdotes != trend | /r/MensRights | 20/03/13 06:26 AM
Bad sex is not rape.According some states' (many?) laws, no. | /r/MensRights | 20/03/13 06:18 AM
| -1 | Bad sex is not rape. No, it's not rape, but I'd also say that surprise BDSM is not a good policy to go on. Some people are comfortable with BDSM, and some aren't. Just jumping into it like that with no previous discussion is bad. Thinking about this is interesting. Did she consent? I don't watch the show, but from what I understand, their previous sexual encounters were not rough sex. Given that, I would say it's likely that she expects sex to be similar to how it was before. At the very least similar in that she wo… | /r/MensRights | 20/03/13 06:14 AM |
