Spending five minutes making three comments on reddit is not really focusing on something for me. I'm just not sure why you're so adamant about it not being a problem at all, when it clearly could be in some situations for some people. Completely ignoring and denying problems simply because there are worse problems is not the way to go about solving things either. You should calm down though, you're coming across as a person who gets angry for no real reason.

There's something wrong with saying "boys are dogs" in or out of context. The genders are irrelevant if they are already irrelevant in the readers mind. If not, reading the book after knowing the title is "Boys are Dogs" would put many people in that mindset. That title could easily contribute to someones ill-conceived perception of gender relations, whether they read it or not.

If that's what she's trying to express, she's doing an absolutely horrible job at it. What she said does imply rape. No means no is obviously talking about rape, which means so is the next line. Sometimes yes means no That implies that sometimes, if a woman says yes but is thinking no, it's rape. Which is not true. (excluding actual threatening situations)

It's different in a way, but not any way relevant to consenting to sex. I'm going to assume /u/salami_inferno was only addressing the part of the situation where being drugged is different than drinking of your own accord. I don't think he was talking about consent after the fact, just consent to ingest the drugs.

There are negative consequences to saying no to anything. Sex is no different, a person decides to do something even if they don't want to if they decide it's worth it. They are still making the decision, there are just factors weighing on that decision.
