I don't think absolute numbers are necessary ... The whole tone of the article was implying the massive disparity in the percentage of women and men employed after the recession ... complete with the sexist undertones. Which of course is nonsense, less % women lost their jobs DURING the recession, so why should there suddenly be a parity between men and women in jobs recovered AFTER the recession ? As the OP said, this is how you twist stats ... and he was right.

No, that's not what it says ... of 1802 people who participated, 1732 people completed the sexual victimization part of the survey. It gives no data on how many people did not wish to participate. This was my point, the result is already skewed by the voluntary nature of the phone survey.

If BOTH parties are drunk or high, who exactly gives consent to who ? This should apply to both male and female rape, there's too much of this "person gets drunk, does something silly, has to face unforseen consequences, cries rape". Rape is one person in complete control of a situation, forcing themselves onto another who does not consent.
