Yes I did and regret it. She called me late at night and I was lonely and horny. I probably should have hung up the phone but I made a bad decision. It was awful. Sex makes things worse. It was a huge setback. It never happened again.

This is great advice. It’s a war now. She probably had this planned for a while. She is on the other team now.

Same thing happened to me. 23 years too. When my son turned 18 she fell in love with her high school crush through facebook. She forgot to send me the memo regarding her feelings prior to the affair. In 8 weeks her affair ended and so did our marriage. Something happens to women late in marriage. You can try to find answers but it could drive you mad. My best advice is to find happiness by being by yourself and working on yourself. Once you do that, good things will come your way. I wish you the…

At first I went to the gym and lost 15lbs fast. I couldn't sleep so I thought I might as well go to the gym. I knew I was getting better when I started sleeping again. Now I workout at home in the morning and light cardio after dinner. I also eat healthier now that I am alone. I am 59 and I feel great physically and that helps my mental state. Oh, I almost forgot. Vegas 2-3 per year. Gym, breakfast, pool, dinner, show. Be social!

I am in the same boat as you. We had been friends for over 30 years. The giddy feelings have subsided and now I am having some doubts. Most of the doubts are just me being super selfish. She really is a good match and I would hate to lose her. Enjoy yourself but establish boundaries so you can still do things that you value.

That is a good point but here is another question. Is it all about us now? Being in a relationship is about giving up our time for someone else. The woman I am dating appreciates my effort and my time which makes it worth it. But I really enjoyed my time after my divorce that is why your list hit me hard. I guess I miss being a selfish fuck!

3-8 hit me hard. I am divorced and now I am in committed relationship. I am starting to lose some of the items on your list. Damn!

My wife blindsided me which led to our divorce. She was my best friend too. I slept with my wife while we were going through the divorce. It left me feeling empty and sad. It felt like I was having sex with a ghost. Any progress you have made to better yourself will be set back. Don’t do it!

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
