This doesn't really look like unfair social pressure to me at all. It would be way fucking weirder for him to grab someone and not be immediately telling her why he grabbed and moved a stranger. And let's get real for a second; women get grabbed on the street for bad stuff way more often than good stuff. I'm all about true equality, but this post smells pretty fuckin incel-y guys. For instance; am dude, but if another dude grabbed me by the shoulders, he'd probably want to be explaining why with…

How dare you. If our glorious leaders get us into a war that even the poor aren't fooled into supporting, who'd go fight it then, huh? The kids of the people who benefit?!

Determination is the most important thing. If you're really dead set, and dead broke, dig a hole with a tunnel out to one side in some clay for a fire, and find a flatish rock. There are metalworkers who still work that way. One step above that, you can make a brake drum forge and set a cheap sledgehammer head halfway into a bucket of concrete. One step above that, you can build a propane/freon tank forge with a "Ron Reil style" atmospheric burner and take an angle grinder to a piece of old RR t…

Yes, but they're an established thing that our model of society can't function without. My point was that he was not advocating seizing a living person's wealth. Hell. In the 50's, anything over 2 mil was taxed at 91%, yet we still had rich people. But we also had massive infrastructure spending, job corps, and living wages then. Those two are related. Apparently we want to "make America great again" without doing any of the things that worked well last time around.

Blacksmith/metalworking. Thanks, by the way. And a lot of stuff on there is old, need to get some of my newer stuff up. Metallurgy is more about the process of making the metal itself, which I then shape. Knives are about as close to metallurgy as I fuck with

Well my point was less "it's your job to educate people with whom you disagree" and much more along the lines of "if you don't want to explain 'how things work' then don't talk down to those you believe don't know by calling that out." Basically, don't start some shit you ain't wanting to finish. And the point about vinegar and honey stands.

Well, you'd think if you were upset by all these "Americans who don't understand how shit works", that you would want to maybe take the time to explain it, or provide some links, or for that matter, any kind of support to your side at all. I find it pretty surprising you'd say something so inviting of a discussion if that wasn't what you wanted, but I guess I'll go get fucked. Here's hoping you do the same, fine sir or madam.

Thanks. Super enlightening. And, it had the added benefit of making me come over to your side. Vitriol and death wishes catch many more flies than honey, I hear.

Taxes are not seizing wealth, last time I checked. And as I recall, these people inheriting massive, mind bending fortunes are the same that tell you welfare queens want to benefit from the work of others. How is an inheritance anything else? Just cause it was a parent to a child doesn't make it any less at odds with the laughable notion that America is a meritocracy.

I know this isn't what you want to hear, but Bernie doesn't advocate redistribution of wealth. He proposes that we change how we are spending the money we already get to be more in line with the American people's wishes, rather than corporate bailouts, and endless illegal wars. Kinda like how "the cost of Medicaid for all" that gets thrown around never seems to mention that the public is spending more on insurance than the new taxes would cost.

In all of our society. Every topic has at least two sides and slinging shit at the other is a Hell of a lot more effective at recruiting in the short term than owning your mistakes and improving. Case in point; both men and women agree we need to be treating one another better, but each community only wants to point out how the other is wrong.
