so you'd recommend freezing the sperm at 33?

Thank you! Did this today and it worked! mid 20's. At an expo out at work. She was working the table down from our company. I just asked her if she wanted to grab a drink this weekend and she said yes. But if it doesn't work out, there's always another one. Really appreciate the simplicity and the timing of what you said!

Exactly. Not only was I on vacation but I was at the bottom of a giant mountain in a tent with little to no cell service, and this bitch was talking about how "I wasn't calling her daily." if she was that much of a princess when you were on a fucking vacation can you imagine what she'd be like at the altar during the the official "her Day" marriage princess celebration ? I don't even wanna think about it brother.

No doubt. I got burned by this recently. This 22 year old girl in 2016 fell for me hard. She was all over me, and for months I paid her little attention. Finally, when it went down, we were inseparable for months, and I thought she was "different than other girls" and that maybe I could spend a ton of time and have an unhealthy amount of familiarity and comfort with her, and she truly wouldn't be like other women and get turned off by that. Obviously we know what happened. She got turned off by …

[–]Docbear64 4 points 5 days ago I promise all of them watch romantic movies, read romance novels , and listen to love songs, and think that the goal is to achieve something that the song perfectly describes 1000% of the time. It's like teenage girl imaginations on overdrive no matter how old they get. Yep. I dated a 29 year old girl for 3 weeks that was upset because I was on a fucking vacation out of the country and she felt like she wasn't being "treated like a princess" and "that even a lot …

I don't think she understands she's playing a sucker's game. No self-respecting man is going to want to date/marry an average looking woman in her mid 30s with 4 kids who left her husband to "find herself." The high-value male she is imagining in her head is too busy banging women 10-15 years younger than her with no baggage or children. Yep. I dated a single mother once and I'll never do it again. It never got to the point where she wanted me to meet the kid, but there were just so many red fla…

But why do some dudes get so hung up on it? What's the alternative? I just think it's like withdrawal from stimulates. Sudden lack of dopamine and serotonin. I think that's a huge factor in why people get so hung up and upset when a LTR ends before the difficult stuff like buying a house or having children begins.

That's what fucks with me. I'm 33 and I sort of want to settle down, but I know it's smarter not to. I know that AWALT which isn't a bad thing, but means that given the moment, they could decide to walk away at any point. So I'm glad I haven't gotten married. I'm actually the only person at my job out of 12 people that isn't married or engaged, and everyone seems to be mostly jealous about the time. They always talk about how I can do anything I want with my time. A couple have mentioned that ne…

Long time lurker but never really posted before. This is a really solid post. Certain people are masters of their domain, and you just can't out-alpha them in their area, and you'd look silly doing so. A lifetime martial artist that runs an MMA school might not have as much money as a heart surgeon, but the heart surgeon that takes his class is looking to him as the instructor, and is going to look silly if he tries to outdo him or out-alpha him in that context. It's best to just step into that …

This. Been doing MMA for 12 years. The average person can fight about as well as they can figure skate. /u/Solitary_Solidarity if you take BJJ for 18 months you'll be able to handle yourself against basically anyone out there that isn't trained. Obviously avoid violence whenever possible, but walking through life with a skill set that can keep you and people you care about safe is massively important. Most people that stick with martial arts do it for the fun and mental stimulation past 12-18 mo…

That's what I thought too, but I do think there are some studies that suggest that older sperm can raise the risk of autism and a few other things. At 33 I'm considering freezing my sperm for having a healthy child.

Shit, I never really tried the no profile at all thing. I do think less is better, but I've always used one or two sentences. I may change that now.

I wouldn't replace Tinder for actually approaching people, but with Tinder it really is mostly based on looks. I would use a few pictures. The first picture should be a good photo of you recently, that shows what you actually look like. No selfies. Only shirtless if you've got a good body and if it's a natural looking photo where you're doing an activity you enjoy. Just a good, quality photo of what you look like. I'd also include a photo of you with a dog if you have one, a photo of you doing a…

Yep. And /u/braintrader I've done a lot of Tinder experimentation and what I did find is that after 30, the matches dropped without a very high quality main profile pic. So I think a lot of girls do keep their age range open like /u/theselfmadealpha says but they are definitely more picky about what they're choosing after 29. Most girls I've talked to 21 or below often cap it at 29, while those above 21 start to creep it up to early 30's or maybe 35. And a few early-mid 20's girls I've met from …

I like your mention of not trying to appear younger...I caught myself doing that and it’s just cringey (at best) nobody is fooled. No doubt. If anything a lot of these younger girls are challenged to keep up if you act your age. Dating younger girls is cool because they can put you onto certain things that are newer, but you can put them onto things that were before their time. If they're actually attracted and invested in you, a lot of them will go out of their way to try to learn more things, …

Thanks for this post. It's crazy how time warps your perception of things. When I was 25 I thought I was too old to date girls that weren't 21 yet. At 32 I dated a 20 year old and it was awesome. All of this advice is pretty great. In my early 30's I've had more success with younger women, and I think some of it was just happenstance by sort of treating them like a younger sibling or a kid and not being overly excited by their presence or thinking they were anything special.

He may just not give a fuck about much of anything, which is not the best way to live life as a whole, but there are elements of not giving a fuck that can help in life. At the very least, he's probably not putting her on any kind of pedestal if he's how you describe. That could be part of it. it could honestly be a ton of things

You should work on yourself regardless. Don't let anyone be responsible for your happiness besides yourself. If you work out, lift, find a passion, work on your career, become a more interesting and fun person, then you'll feel fulfilled by your own company, and then as a plus you'll attract more male friends and more women. But it's a bad idea to chase women around to fill something that's missing in yourself and a lot of these concerns you have are just ruminating thoughts and nothing you can …

Don't send any messages for like 2 weeks. Throw something out after that, but anything between now and a couple of weeks will likely come off as needy or desperate. Once someone has lost interest, it's tough to get it back without time and space.

I've found this to be true. I've had way more success with younger women (19-23) once I hit 30 than I ever did in my mid or even late 20's. Maybe /u/Eastuss is right when he says that "Sex will never be as exalting as it would if you had sex at 13/16 years old" but when he says "The problem is when you're 30, you're not getting back those sex urges you had back then as a teen" I don't know. I've had better sex the older I get, and the drive isn't as high as it was at 22 but it's still high. I ha…

Anything to push things towards meeting up. It sounds crude, but you can't fuck a text message. As great as things can be on text, and as fun a time you might have, it's still just texting. So ideally you should be trying to set times and places to meet in person, and if that's no soon, like if it's a a few days, or a week out, then there are ways to build comfort and keep them interested over text until you do meet. But usually you want to go ahead and use the texting as a way to meet in person…

Sorry I'm late on this. I'd just cut out that first part. So she says "I'll see you soon!" And you can say "Awesome! BTW, expect a big hug! :)" Or you can not even mention it and just give her a big hug anyways. I live in the south though, and maybe it's different in other places, but most girls down here are always fine with hugging. Even growing up, in middle school and high school most girls every morning would say hello at school by giving a big hug. I would say that you aren't going to come…

That sounds like a plan! I mean, any sexual framing or comments or interactions is going to keep you out of putting yourself in the friend zone category. People that end up friend zoning themselves just give off no sexual energy. Most communication is non verbal. Just don't try to act like you don't want to fuck her....if that makes any sense. So give her some sexual eye contact if it feels right. And don't just eye fuck her the whole time, but every now and then gaze into her eyes like you want…

This is my first post in TRP. I've been trying to forgive myself for years over some addiction and past relationship mistakes. I go through cycles. When I'm forgiving myself, I'm killing it in life, with job, girls, hobbies, etc. When I'm beating myself up, I do awful at all of the above. I've been in a good period, got 9 years clean yesterday, a really hot date tomorrow, and I really needed to read this post today. I'd upvote you a million times if I could.

Dude, I'm an overthinkner too. I swear it's all good. Look, what matters is the solution, right? If you have to go to rehab, do you mostly care about figuring out why you became a drug addict? Or do you just want to get clean? Weird example, but it's what came to mind. No matter where you stand with your skills, or if you didn't read a social queue or not, the solution to your last paragraph is the same either way. Keep doing what you're doing. You're getting back out there. You may be rusty. Ma…

If you're sitting across from each other at a table, it's (touching) not easy to do. I'd do it as you're getting up, walking side by side, doing an activity together, etc. If you're at a bar together side by side, or playing putt putt golf, or on a walk, etc, I find all of these much easier ways to do it than sitting across from each other. As far as talking about sex, I guess it depends. It's a frame of mind. Sex isn't weird, it's normal. Talking isn't weird, it's normal. SO talking about sex d…

I mean you really aren't trying to feel them up, so I don't like to think of it as "trying to do something" with my hands. I like to treat a new date as if we've already had sex. Maybe if I'm opening a door on our way out of a bar or place to eat, I'll put my hand on her lower back. If we're sitting down side by side at bar and I'm laughing at something she says, I'll just touch her thigh for a second as I laugh. A lot of times they'll even do it first. A lot of girls will touch my shoulder. If …

/u/nike747 is right. You miss the idea of what you and your ex had. I'm just getting over my last breakup. I broke up with her 2 years ago, and we'd been together for 4+ years. I knew it was the right thing to do, and we were off and on, and sometimes I still regret it, but it was for the best. If she treated you badly and wasn't good for you, then it's good she's gone. Time will help. Working on yourself will help. If you want to try to get laid, go for it, but it won't help long term. Work on …

I don't think you have anything to feel bad about. You were on a date, and therefore in a situation where it is totally acceptable to lightly touch someone, suggest what you suggested later, etc. I wouldn't read too much into it. She could've said what she said because you did something "wrong" to her, or maybe she was just high strung, or maybe she's honestly just a bit of a bitch, etc. It could be a million reasons. To me, nothing you said sounded unreasonable, and don't let it fuck your head …

This is so simple and works so well. "Use a lot of physical contact and eye contact." I rely mostly on that, and it works great. Especially if you aren't comfortable yet talking about sexual things openly. Once you are, and then you have both the physical contact, eye contact, AND the sexual innuendo/talk, it will help so much! I think a lot of guys are scared to talk about sex around women they're interested in, and then ironically if enough time passes, a woman that may have been into you may …

I'd say just try not to stare. If you're eyes are watering, you're probably holding them open too long. You may just be more conscious of your own blinking if you are consciously trying to make eye contact, but I highly doubt anyone is paying attention to your blinking unless you have a mild tick where you blink too much. My friend has mild Tourette's and blinks like crazy. When you're screaming at yourself to break eye contact, force yourself to hold it just a few more seconds. And some women w…

Dude, it's so amazing, right? I had some drug problems in the mid 00's and after I got clean my eye contact got real poor, because my self esteem was shot. I had NO luck with any women at all. Once I finally got my confidence back and started making eye contact and smiling, it was an entire world of difference. Also, I'm not sure how much this maters, but I've always heard that it's smart to break eye contact to the left or right, instead of down, because it's sort of an innate submissive/scared…
