Never heard of it? It's basically a unicycle, but more stool like. You never want to put a woman on a pedal stool, it causes instability. She will either pedal out of your life in a somewhat uncontrollable fashion, or fall off and blame you for her injuries. Stay away from pedal stools.

I agree with you, except for blacked out = rape. This woman was conscious. She was on top riding one guy's dick while sucking a second dick. Unconscious or unaware is obviously rape, but that wasn't the case here. She just couldn't remember it the next day. How is a man supposed to know when a conscious and aware woman is blackout drunk? A man would never be able to cry rape in this situation.

Look, it's not inconceivable that someone could start an IT consulting company and work hard (waaaay more than 40 hours/week obviously) and within 7 months be making a good amount. I'm not really sure what you mean by "one of the better" six figure salaries. If you mean high six figures, you'd have to be extremely lucky with clients and it would still hard to believe. There are plenty of IT consulting companies, so even working as much as you do you'd have to have an unbelievable profit margin. …

Talking about gender gaps at specific companies or in specific sectors is more reasonable, because it encourages deeper understanding. That makes a lot of sense, and I do understand that point. Thanks to /u/Code_Bordeauxx for distinguishing between hypergamy and polygamy. This is why discovery of male infidelity results in a breakup about 2/3 of the time, while discovery of female infidelity results in a breakup over 95% of the time. Thank you for this fact! This indeed supports the idea that men are more deeply impacted by infidelity.

You are right of course, from a biological standpoint men clearly have more to lose from cheating. I think that my main point of confusion was the distinction between hypergamy and polygamy. In a sense you could say AMALT in reference to the desire for sex with attractive women, but it is not quite the same thing as saying AWALT. Thank you. Intuitively I feel that a woman cheating is more painful to a man than vice-versa, for various reasons that are discussed here. But I see that saying AWALT is a way to help men understand that they must maintain a certain status and frame. That is an interesting point you make about love/intimacy. A man is predisposed to diversify, whereas a woman is predisposed to seek out the best mate. So the implications of cheating differ.

Regarding hypergamy, I am curious as to why this is discussed here as a female trait. I certainly understand that men and women have different criteria for attraction, but it seems to me that you could say something similar about male hypergamy. Why do you say AWALT, but not AMALT? Is it that men are not usually spending their currency (commitment) when they cheat, whereas women are spending theirs simply by the act of cheating?
