Divorce is used when there is no logical way to get through to the other person and it should be used up to max 2 times. Third time you better be filing the paperwork.

This is toxic advice that will lead to nothing but hell for all involved. It is too early for them to know though. But once it is clear, action should be taken to create a safe home for the children. If you can afford it and she can agree to a temporary schedule, that would be the smartest option.

Why don’t you put an effort into getting your own place and setting up a temporary shared schedule with the kids? You all would be getting used to the future and you wouldn’t go through transitions and hell for years. This will take a toll on all of you.

Then do the right and humane thing. If you care about your children and any amount of cordial future relationship with this person, you might consider empathy and fairness. If you have to give up something small to gain peace, it is more than worth it.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
