The police would take care of the violence part (what they’re trained for) and the “social worker” would tame care of the psychological/negotiation part. Defunding is referring to moving funds from jet-skis, “rocket launchers” and other random “entertainment” shit they don’t need and moving it towards better training for police officers and sourcing new funding for new agencies that deal with psychological issues which the police currently have to report to.
