Right, but out of necessity we're talking in generalities here. If your theory needs to resort to generalizations, then it indicates a weakness in your theory.

Functionally, how are the two different? What does it matter whether I think "all women have the capacity to cheat on me" or "I should take sensible precautions to make sure I'm not cheated on" if the result is the same? Well, you didn't say "All women have the capacity to cheat on me." You said that women with a high partner count is a red flag to you. Those are not equivalent statements. Of course I haven't read every single page of every single study I get information from. I don't need to be…

Would you walk through a high crime area alone at night? It's likely you won't get hurt, but there's a chance. Would you go into a skeezy club by yourself and accept a bunch of drinks from sketchy strangers? It's likely you won't get raped, but there's a chance. Plenty of people consider either of these situations dangerous even if there's no clear danger just to protect themselves against that chance. This doesn't address the point I'm making. You're talking about taking reasonable precaution i…

And is it wrong to assume that all black people are going to rob you? That all Arabs are terrorists? That all men are rapists? The problem with defaulting is that it's lazy, and it is incorrect in too many cases. And when you form generalizations about people based on what you think you know about them, you have the opportunity to miss out on a lot of great relationships. The premise is also not necessarily true. A woman with a long list of partners might be more likely to cheat on you. Or you m…

Yeah, I hoped it was clear that I do not agree with the red pill 101 level bullshit. You are supposing that since a woman has memories, and those memories may include something better than what you can provide, that she is automatically going to be poorer relationship material. This may or may not be true.

The problem is with the assumption that a hig partner count automatically makes a woman garbage.

Because they're selling hypocrisy in the name of "truth." When they sell to you that men are logical and women are rational, ignoring the potential in both genders. One moment's self reflection would tell you when you're making an asinine, one-sided statement.

His argument translated: "Women muddle intellectual discourse because people tend to care more about who's saying something (aka a woman) than the quality of what they're saying". His argument here is pure, distilled bullshit. The women in my field of academia are not governed by their emotions the way GLO is caricaturing.

You don't have the first inclination about what I think. You may that clear every time you speak. Kielbasa's ok. Not a great texture. She prefers German sausages with more bite and a less tough casing. We went to this fantastic German restaurant one time and had great Hefeweizen. Awesome sausage platter, and the best streudel I've ever tasted. Never been to a Russian restaurant. That's something I would like to try. A lot of Americans find Russian cuisine a little unsettling.

because it goes after groups that love drama and victimhood But here lies a disconnect, as well. Go to The Red Pill any given day and look at how many victims and dramatists you'll find. The only reason to use incendiary language is to stir drama. Emotional reactions are not limited to the feminists. Everyone is prey to that tendency, and that's my central criticism with TRP. They look at women and make proclamations about how women are without stopping to consider that many of the traits they a…

Right. GayLubeOil is a paragon of what TRP is supposed to achieve. Man who lifts and bangs women and doesn't get married. My callout is in reference to the absolute LACK of criticism against misogyny, even if it's not GLO posting it. Angry people, red pill contributors, it's all the same. It requires a lot of work to increase your SMV. Most men are unwilling to put in this work. Thus, they try to dissuade men of character from partaking on this journey; if they don't improve themselves and their competition does then their ability to score drops. You really think people disagree with your ideology because they want you to get less attractive? They don't want that and "mockery" is easier than lifting so they join TBP. The reaction to TRP by outsiders and BluePills is basically the "Hey, only I make myself bleed my own blood!" meme... Not really. The content on TRP is often offensive. That's fine; it does bring a lot of attention from loud, angry people. My contention with the philosophy is that it gets things wrong that it assumes as self evident. AWALT is a particularly egregious false idol for TRP, one that I could easily dissuade with my personal experience. Bring that experience to the table, and the TRP'…

TRP goes against established identity narratives, and the fastest way to get people worked up is to go at their identity. Race, religion, politics, sex, origin, family etc. TRP is highly conservative in its adherence to identity narratives. Railing against sluts, the dissolution of the 'traditional' nuclear family, and 'beta pussy faggots' doesn't really mark one's ideology as particularly novel. TRP strongly supports gender norms that are assumed to be true and bans anybody with a dissenting vi…

I have personally not been tolerated by the red pill. I was banned for suggesting AWALT is not a great way to approach all of your interactions with women. And you seem to have missed my question, so let me rephrase it. How does being intolerant of the red pill demonstrate intolerance against anything else? As for MY intolerance of the red pill, it's not because I don't like the ideas. It's because many of the ideas are incorrect.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/05/15 08:03 PM

Certainly intolerant of RP, I think this likely extends to intolerance elsewhere Intolerant "elsewhere" based on what? An intolerance for vitriolic ideology? TRP doesn't really claim to be this noble pursuit that is just looking to make the lives of everyone better. It's men teaching men how to get women to fuck them. Using every manner of anecdotal, "common sense" evidence to tell people how women are and how women will behave. A lot of people have a pretty intolerant attitude to that idea.

I hope I won't offend you but "yes, there are both ingrained and learned differences, but we can't find out which are more important and which are not" is something I encounter in meek people who are more concerned with maintaining internal consistency rather than getting objective truth, and who use this to simply handwave all this stuff away and think of unicorns and rainbows. I think nature feeds nurture in terms of our tendencies. I would be open to the idea that most of our behavior is governed by nature. Then you run into a problem with the red pill. They feel that nature governs a lot, too, but the difference between us is they think they have biology locked down pretty tight. In reality, the human mind is quite complex, and looking at any one behavior and saying "That's caused by hypergamy." is lazy and misinformed. This goes double for people who have never act…

Men don't deal well with female dominated environments because they tend to be hostile to men. Even when they aren't, men do not enjoy these environments because they are limited and boring and emphasise safety over creativity. I work in a female-dominated environment, doing a job that is something like 70-80% female, and not one of those things is true.

Whichever model I subscribe to, will determine the rest of my life. I truly feel I am at a crossroads and I have no friends or reliable family to consult. I am alone with my thoughts and the opinions of the internet. Here's your problem: rigidity. You can take whatever pieces make the most sense from any given ideology and reject the whole. Ah, here you've lapse into group selection. That doesn't work. Evolution science doesn't work that way. Only individuals are selected genetically, not groups. Individuals are not the drivers of natural selection. Genes are. Cooperative group hierarchy ensures individual sets of genes are selected more consistently. Thus, we agree that humans are cooperative, and I'm sure we can agree this would be an advantage in line with promoting the selection of cooperative genes. This argues directly agains…

If women aren't "machines where you put in niceness and get sex in return" why is it okay to assume that men are "machines where you put in sex and get commitment"? The Red Pill already answers this question. Women's sexuality is something not to be given lightly, according to our society. If a man has 20 relationships, then nobody bats an eye. If a woman has 20 sexual partners, then you have something that must be investigated to make sure she's not a slut. This is a recurring theme in red pill…

This is all well and good, and I would certainly agree that sexuality in itself is a natural phenomenon. No contest. But where TRP begins to wade into muddy water is with what drives sexuality, what the sexes find attractive, etc. "Attractiveness" is a very malleable concept, which is evidenced by the numerous examples throughout history. You can argue that many of these traits (getting fat, men wearing high heels, wigs, etc) are expressions of status, which is what the women are really attracte…

The answer here is that the red pill is oversimplifying the whole concept. Mustang_mike comments below The part of TRP that is concerned with self improvement would say "don't be unhealthy just to get girls" because that's silly. This kind of mentality is consistent with the red pill in general. The "dad bod" typified in the picture in the article is not necessarily the body of an unhealthy man. Just like the "plus sized" models that many red pillers chide as disgustingly obese aren't unhealthy.…

A core tenet of TRP is that males, unlike females, have no inherent value unless they themselves create it. This is a core tenet that is based on solipsism on the part of the red pill bloggers and writers. For every example of women receiving the pussy pass, you can find another where a woman fights for every inch of ground she gained in her career or in terms of getting respect. And that value comes through what? Money, status, good looks, and above all SUCCESS WITH WOMEN. If you have none of t…

[citation needed] There is a burgeoning literature on the mating habits of bonobos, with several good books summarizing the similarities between us and them. One example is Sex at Dawn, and there are quite a few basic science reports comparing our genomes to those of bonobos and chimps. We're about the same distance from them genetically, leaving an open question as to whether we're more like one or the other. Women decide who has sex (apart from rape), and that will usually be the person with the best genes, who will tend to be the at the local maximum, which is often labelled 'alpha'. So you devoted one sentence to this, the staggeringly longer portion of our evolution. And you did so without really considering if it's true or not. We have two equidistant primate relatives, chimps and bonobos. We tend to assume we're basically like chimps, which exhibit the social hierarchy you talk about (alpha, be…

How do you justify calling my point bullshit and then confirm it? The vagina selects sperm. That's the only point I made, and then I referenced the potential for this form of selection to be stronger than mate selection. Nowhere did that imply that women are just vaginas. I'm saying that fitness, as far as genes are concerned, may or may not be related entirely to fitness of the body. You could have a fat, lazy lump of a man with extraordinarily healthy sperm. If he has sex, he is more likely to…

The reason I made that point is because it's clear to me that the OP's purpose is little more than "lolol!! you TRPers think men are perfect lolol!!" and I felt that this was a great learning opportunity for you guys. Lung cancer kills you pretty quickly, in general. Diabetes and heart disease are manageable chronic conditions. I'm not saying they're any less serious, but ask 100 people on the street which one of those three they want to see a cure for, and I bet lung cancer tops it easily. I think you're missing your own point, in this case. I'm talking about the Inquisition and the hundreds of years that church rules Europe. I believe you're talking about the shame that people feel for, say, having sex. But do you think the shame is a real deterrent from having premarital sex? It's pretty rampant, and only in the most regressive, oppressive households have I seen it actually work.

Per the original examples you gave, I find it absurd to think about the criminals out there who wouldn't be criminals if only society had shamed them more. And, no, I don't think shaming has "absolutely no effect." I'm saying in the case of fat shaming, you might be engendering the opposite of what you want, assuming what you want is for fat people to lose weight. That was the point of my original post. First, I don't need to be taught about the red pill. To the point, you said "Here is a truth about human nature and a reality of the world that you live in: men are much more likely to leave a wife who gets sick. If you are a married woman with cancer, you are in danger of having this happen to you. It sucks, but this is your reality." This study doesn't necessarily talk about human nature. But the discussion of this paper talks about how the likely explanation is that men are unattuned to assume a caregiving role for a spouse. This trashes your "Red Pill Truth," which implies that this is naturally how women are. It does not necessarily follow that this is a "truth of human nature." There is an equally likely explanation, that men are socially conditioned to be less nurturing.

I think both sides of this issue are fucking stupid. 1) TRP and the like, "Fat acceptance is stupid." I agree to a certain point here, that we don't need to coddle people, and in most cases there is a positive change fat people could make to help their lives. BUT, shaming people does not change them. It just makes them feel shame. There have been studies done on the difference that joining fat acceptance communities can have on weight loss. Paradoxically, joining fat acceptance groups is more ef…

Getting to an understanding of what women want is a powerful goal, and I understand your point with saying the side bar is the salad bar. However, you assume that most people are capable of differentiating the good from the garbage, and I've seen too many impressionable, young, sad people read and internalize the bad with the good. The essential problem of TRP is not necessarily that it has bad ideas. It's that those bad ideas are force-fed to you among the good, COMMON SENSE ideas. For example, some good advice from TRP: 1) Get your physical fitness in order, including diet, exercise, and sleep 2) Do not allow people in your relationships to walk all over you 3) Better yourself through exploration of hobbies and education These are firm and sound principles: work on yourself, and people will probably find you more compell…

Because for a lot of red pill men, the one sided nature of the debate is what allows them to feel a moral superiority over women. It then clouds their interactions with a whole gender. If they were actually introspective, they'd realize that women aren't different from men, necessarily, in most ways. And then you'd come to realize that there is no one sexual strategy. What works for you may not work for me. What works on my wife probably won't work on the girls you chase. A more thorough underst…

Before I was banned, I read TRP for over a year. Never once was there a scientific study used to credibly validate TRP principles. Their scientific analysis is based on what they presume from evolutionary theory. They never actually critically analyze their ideas, nor do they ever stretch beyond what is right in front of them with respect to said evolutionary theory. And that's a shame, because it's actually a whole lot more complex than they ever let on. Alpha male theory of humanity is one exa…

Then how do you explain the preponderance of cultures that do not slut shame? Or perhaps the case of the polynesian tribe that believes a woman cannot fully form a baby without the input of the seed of many men? These are a few findings that suggest that the phenomenon of slut shaming is closer to fully cultural rather than biological. A pair of my best friends have been married since one week after we got married, and they have always been quite happy with each other. I've been married for quite a few years now, and we dated for quite a few years before that. Here's my take on your 5 points: 1) This depends on your definition of boring. My wife and I are comfortable most of the time not going out and blowing money and time. Then we get together with friends on weekends and hang out to play board games. It ticks the boxes on social interaction, and we get to spend as much time as we want together. Also, it is incumbent on both partners to maintain something in…

So what you're saying is that if you have genital herpes, don't tell anyone, and don't get a diagnosis so you can maintain plausible deniability. Re: herpes as a relatively harmless skin condition. Maybe so, but should a potential sex partner be at risk of contracting it because you want to get laid? Gonorrhea is a relatively harmless and highly treatable bacterial infection. So maybe your next partner with the clap should just let that be left a secret, because odds are she won't transmit it. T…

So you're saying that alpha is in the eyes of your woman. In which case the OP may be all the alpha his lady needs (assuming he is with a woman, of course). My earlier comment referred specifically to the flawed understanding of social dynamics of hunter/gatherer man, that you needed to be the leader of the tribe or you did not breed. This is not supported by what little evidence we have of pre-historic, pre-agricultural man. In terms of social dynamics today? It's a little more complicated than…

I did not misunderstand you. My suggestion was that you should think twice before allowing a movie to strengthen your beliefs. It entails a lack of critical thinking. I feel that allowing any work of fiction to strengthen your beliefs (say, in religion, or environmentalism, or politics, or sexual strategy) is bad news. This is because fiction is crafted, and all of that craft is biased in some way by the author's perspective. Perhaps you can think on certain points and then let that lead to some…

There's a difference between the pedantism you're accusing here and what I said. Note I didn't nitpick a point: I'm calling the entire argument out. There is no evidence available that humans had this alpha structure where only the leader got to breed (ala gorillas). The "alpha" having his pick may or may not be true, but that has nothing to do with my argument. Skinny gits playing guitar on stage get their pick of the women these days, even if they're complete wusses. And even that point (an al…

I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that you should not seek to strengthen your beliefs by watching a movie. Not to mention the fact that the story was written by a woman, which is something red pill men are constantly saying (don't take sexual strategy and life advice from a woman)

What you are describing is the exact opposite of what works in a small society. Cooperation more than domination is pivotal for survival. What you are saying is that before agriculture our ancestors all had to be alpha and the leader. Only the leader got to breed. There is no evdience that we came up this way. And you imply that the man writing the article is a good description of the scrub, when in fact he may be someone who lifts, studies, reads, and happens to be passionate about being a cari…

The figure you cite is per year and cannot be effectively extrapolated to account for all women who have been victims of completed/attempted rape. So I hope nobody interprets that as "Only 0.76% of women have been raped." That's 60,000 per year. Right, but this particular point is not about you, specifically, in that case. We can make similar observations and arrive at different conclusions. I agree with you that it is a geographic/economic correlation, and the racial aspect is an accident. There are plenty of places where you'd stand a greater chance of being mugged by a white guy. Drug dealers and muggers make up an incredibly small percentage of black people (and white people), so your proposal that feminism's point is not valid due to numbers is not quite in line, either. It would seem that the "difference" is more in your opinion: one point is valid to you (AWALT), and one is not (feminism). I think they're both not valid. And what if you run the swapped thought experiment? A shooter at a gun range should always expect that the gun is loaded. A man should expect that all women will align exactly with the ideals of the red pill, and he should treat all women accordingly, until they PROVE otherwise. A woman should feel fear from every man she encounters, since almost all rapists are men. Most violent crime is committed by black people, so let's be automatically cautious of black people. "Men are physically superior to women" in any context is not an incontrovertible truth. Generally true, yes. If a woman can make it, then it should be her right. You didn't say that. You said it was mandatory training. So are my yearly reviews. That doesn't make them a top priority for my company. You're assuming that the people in charge of special forces can't sway leaders to maintain standards. I haven't heard anybody advocating any lowering of standards for women, except in the rare cases where natural ability is lower, and the skill doesn't matter in most situations (like pull up standards, for example). Reading this, it just hits me how very complicated and nasty the whole prosecution of sexual violence is. I mean, I'm sure we can all agree that rape is a problem in the world, and a lot of it is perpetrated in ways that most of us would automatically condemn (eg, having sex with a passed-out drunk woman, drugging someone and having sex, forceful rape), and the burden of proof is highly challenging, even if there was no noise from the fact that these things often happen under the influence of al…

I would submit, as per Red Pill philosophy, that hypergamy has existed in society long, LONG before feminism. I just have it in my head the vehement pro-life folks who would in one breath condemn a woman to hell for having an abortion (no matter the reason), and then turning around and saying they'll pray for you when she has a miscarriage (which was probably not preventable). Biologically, they are both abortion. I haven't personally seen feminists try and engage this with "miscarriage is just like abortion." They understand that abortion is not an accident, but they don't feel it should carry the same…

I agree with tone. I don't care for people telling me how I should feel about something, on any level. I happen to agree with them on the matter of abortion. I don't agree with the idea that removing the stigma of abortion would lead to more responsible women. We have the pill and other effective forms of birth control, and I imagine a lot of red pillers would describe women as irresponsible enough. And I'm not sure I agree with that endgoal for feminism, or that unchecked female promiscuity wou…

I find it difficult to give a shit what choices women want to make about their bodies. Yes, there are exceptions, detailed in other comments: 1) The man in the relationship may want to have a child and ultimately doesn't get the say 2) If the woman wants the baby, then it is the man's job, accorded by society, to step up You can have lots of debates about the salience of both of those points, but I'm just talking in general, and especially about the problem aid out here: women using abortion as …

But should a miscarriage (spontaneous abortion) saddle you with guilt the same way that vehicular manslaughter often does? I'm talking no-fault situations.

That's pretty shitty that the head of the department had that edict to fill the position with a specific type of person. In my limited view, there is a definite push to hire more women professors for tenure-track positions. However, we're talking a position, even at my relatively small school, that gets 120+ applicants, all with a good publication history, all with years of experience already under their belts. Even if there is a bias to hire women, the process is highly, highly competitive. The…

That age range is generally tough, in hindsight. Many are entering college and gaining some knowledge of stuff. This inflates your ego and makes you stop actually learning. I was glad that I noticed at 18/19 that the 24-year olds were so full of themselves and so full of shit about everything. It was a cheap lesson, but not one I took to heart fully. If I could go back, I would force myself to stop being full of myself and just learn as much as possible. Don't participate in the drama. Don't pla…

Glad to receive the referral. There are times where it would be interesting to have full on debate, as opposed to relating my experiences that run contrary to some of the established principles. If I have some time, I may participate over there. With respect to the trolling accusations, nothing could be further from the truth. I have read end pill material for years now, and a lot of it has had a positive impact. but I have learned a lot, and not everything herein seems quite up to scratch. Stil…

I can't argue there, what with so many chiming in with their experiences contrary to mine. I was honestly surprised to find it so professional an environment, as in grad school there was a whole lot of the issues being described going on. I found it wasn't limited to the women. You had to be careful around EVERYONE what you said. This job has been great for me.

I'd agree, only because it's not particularly professional to spill your guts at work to anyone. They aren't there to be my friends, so I don't talk to them as such.

The leaders in the company are, in fact, women. They also do all the hardest work. The president is also a hard worker, but it's not because he's a man that they do their jobs.

You might be right, but it applies to even the lower rungs of the company, like the support staff. I have not run into drama that you would expect, but they are great people in general, not the hyper-competitive harpies you might expect. I would highly recommend reaching for the echelon to all would-be young men. It's challenging and rewarding, and it's nice not to know the experiences detailed in the opening post.

My company and industry are largely dominated by women (my company has 3 men, the owner, the president, and me). They are all highly educated (MBAs, MDs, and PhDs) and experienced, and none of these pieces of advice are useful for dealing with them. There's no overt politicking, no clucking about men, no drama. These people are all business, and not a single one of them fits this mold that gets cast. They just want the job done. You should look for a place where the same is true for you.

While interesting to consider, this study and the research it cites do not "prove" the red pill. There are quite a few criticisms of evo psych, in general, like the lack of testability of hypotheses, shifting cultural norms, and general inconsistency in the data (Men in countries with less economic equality have been found to prefer hip-to-waist ratios closer to 0.9). Most importantly, a lot of findings dubbed "universal" by evolutionary psychologists have often been found to be heavily influenc…

I would consider an adjustment in your goals. Rather than "becoming red pill," which you may come to find is not amenable to you over the long term, I would focus simply on developing yourself, and let that be the focus. Yes, red pill is, at its core, supposed to be all about self improvement, but you'll get a lot of noise that can stymie your progress. Consider your stated "externals." Make more money, dress better, and develop a physique. These are not as external as you think. 1) Make more mo…

This is fantastic advice without resorting to the usual generalizations that may or may not be true. It's just sound, solid prescription for how to make YOURSELF happier through mental states YOU can control, as opposed to the manipulation that is typically advocated. Thanks!

That makes you sound like a really fun person to sit through movies with: "You know that Batman's cape wouldn't support his weight, right?" "Computer viruses wouldn't work on alien computers." And on and on. Why get a kick out of ruining someone else's fun?

That's not really the message in the book. Not sure about the movie, heard it sucked. In the book, he finds out that the boss is sterile, and that's enough for him to assume the baby is his, since he was also sleeping with his wife at the time. Foolish? Maybe, but it's not real life. And it's not a matter of doing the right thing. The whole story is about the importance of fatherhood, and the tearing that someone in midlife with no kids can feel about having them. It's illustrated by the toddler…

I can't watch videos right now. You'd need to point to an article I can read to evaluate. The supposition is that feminists brought down male birth control that is all natural, 100% safe, and 100% effective. That's three points, all either impertinent or bullshit 1) Feminists killed it: Again, I'd need to see proof here. But everytime vasalgel comes up, feminist sites like Jezebel open up the call for less hormonal birth control, saying that pharmacy companies are suppressing it and allowing the…

Can't read the article, but are you really arguing that the primary reason that people are joining IS is because they can't find a mate? Ignoring the poverty, religious extremism, virulent anti-Western rhetoric, and all-around desperation of the area for many people...but let's focus on promoting monogamy, even though there's no evidence here that monogamy would fix the problems associated with IS. And the second image is pure fantasy. The advent of Christianity did away with polygamy, and if we…

This is bullshit. Every time male birth control comes up, feminists ask the same question OP is asking, "What's taking so long." And they say that MEN are suppressing it because they don't want to take the risk of putting drugs in their bodies. Nobody is suppressing male birth control. It's harder than female birth control, and the first company that finds a suitable one is going to make bank.

I'd say there are a lot of really useful principles TRP holds, but it is also couched in some less-than-helpful stuff. There is a lot of real work out there that does not agree at all with the notion that we as humans evolved to have "traditional values." I'd highly recommend the TEDtalk Christopher Ryan: Are we designed to be sexual omnivores? for anybody interested in a dissenting opinion. I can't stand pseudoscience and bullshit facts from anyone, especially from people I have a mind to agree…

One of them is false by your reckoning. In the mind of the person saying it, it is a perfectly rational thought backed up by data. I'm not saying I personally believe it to be true. I'm saying they have the same conviction. Red pill folks do it all the time, as well, when they're talking about evolutionary psychology and traditional values as if those are things that are perfectly understood and, more importantly, that are perfectly understood by them. And no, a lot of people are not so defensiv…

This post is very useful, and a lot of people have misinterpreted it. They think you're saying to go ahead and be angry and alpha, that as long as you disguise yourself correctly, you can slip in and subvert the machine that is feminazism. These kinds of thoughts shouldn't need to be a trojan horse. The visceral reaction that people get to red pill "truths" presented poorly should be a big tell there. It should clue you in to one of several things: 1) You suck, or 2) You're wrong It would be wor…

This is not an accurate observation on the opening post. It's not the truths at all that bother people; it's the way they're delivered. Case in point, I imagine you can agree that rape is bad. Let's mock up a conversation: Feminist: Men rape women; 1/4 of all women will be raped, and it represents the single biggest threat to women in America! versus Feminist: I think rape is a serious problem that is underreported in this country. If you were having a real conversation with these two people, yo…

Well, the preference for low count women may not be natural at all. We've had 5000 years of society to grind it into our collective conscious that this is what men want. Personally, when I'm really honest with myself, I don't give a shit about how many men a woman has had sex with. The only thing that matters to me for my relationship with my wife is that I'm the best she's had, which has not been an issue. And would a virgin have been prized in a small society? That's pretty hard to say. Eviden…

Actually, the evidence suggests the opposite, that small bands of people all contributed to raising children, and it was more likely that children would come to see all adults similar to a parent. There are small societies that exist this way now, as a matter of fact. Hell, some societies believe that one man alone can't make a baby. It takes copulation with a lot of men in order to fully form the fetus. So your assumption is not a given. It may not be true. An alternate explanation for "passing…

No, there is no family unit in these "societies." That's my point, along with the fact that humans lived that way for far longer than they have lived in civilized society. The point I was contesting was "every traditional culture for the entirety of human history." However, for 90% or more of human history, we have not been civilized. We have not lived in family units. We have not had monogamy. We have not had the concept of "slut," because there was no need to prove paternity, because an entire…

In almost every traditional society that has not been attacked by Western feminism, a woman was considered "damaged" if she wasn't a virgin on her wedding day. Now, there could be two things going on: 1- Every traditional culture for the entirety of human history was wrong .... The problem here is that point #1 may not be far off. There's substantial evidence that prehistoric man lived without "traditional" pair bonding. That is, prior to the advent of agriculture, when "societies" comprised aro…
