Based on any shy or introverted person I’ve ever met. Myself being both shy and introverted. If you sit at home, make no effort and feel sorry for yourself, you’re obviously not going to meet anyone. That’s on you- but it’s easier to blame it on a loneliness epidemic haha

This whole thing on male sexlessness is BS. Just because you exist, doesn’t mean you’re owed sex as some sort of right. I do think loneliness is on the ride and much more common these days. Not romantic loneliness, just in general. Initially, the finger was pointed at the pandemic as everyone was forced to isolate. But clearly that is not the sole factor. I think it stems from social media usage. Now I’m terms of romantic relationships and dating, I do agree… it’s not difficult whatsoever. Even …

I am not sure where this data of women not finding men attractive comes from. Are you talking about physically attractive, or attractive in general taking into account all the qualities a person has? Horn dogs? I block them immediately when I find them in my messages online, or they present as such IRL. Yes, I’d personally rather have plans with my girlfriends who I have known for years and know I will have a nice time with, than a random guy. Not even 9/10, but 100% of the time. But that’s a RA…

Independent, not necessarily financially independent- which is what we were talking about. Someone can have an adulation and marketable skills and a job making a stellar salary… if they are living paycheck to paycheck, they are nowhere near financially independent

That’s good to stick to your standards, but understand that this makes your pool of potential partners far smaller. I’m not here to bash women, but I’d say the vast majority are not financially independent. Those that are, have high expectations and some will still want a provider. Keep in mind that I’m using the actual definition of financial independence- as in a person has enough investments and passive income to not need active employment. Paying your own bills and not needing financial supp…

This is a really silly and childish sentiment. You’d rather lose everytbibg than lose a portion? You probably shouldn’t get into a relationship… ever.

Most men today don’t have the capacity to be a provider, but will complain all day about it lol. Can’t even meet the bare minimum of keeping good credit and not being in a shit load of debt. These are the ones crying about gold diggers… I don’t think they should be worried about gold diggers. Or women who are financial independent.

I don’t see an issue with requiring minimum income, good credit, financial compatibility as it really will shape your success as a couple. People like to deny this and pretend it’s all about love and all that. Never worked out with broke guys because our lifestyles were incompatible. I can’t imagine trying to rent or buy a property with someone I’m dating, only to have their garbage credit bring me down. As for gold diggers… I don’t think you should be too concerned with this. Often times, the m…

You are making the assumption that people who enjoy having drinks also enjoy going to bars or feel like they need alcohol in order to be social. You are also suggesting that by going to a bar, you must drink. I read another comment of yours where you compared going to a bar and not drinking to going to a horse race and not betting… I’m an equestrian and have been to many races, yet never placed a bet. I’ve also been to casinos and never gambled. If bars or people drinking trigger you, then don’t…

My definition of travel is different than a 2 week vacation that most consider “travel.” I don’t plan, I don’t need to take off work or any of that. I love the freedom of buying a one way ticket and at times spending 3 months doing whatever I like, in whichever country I feel like it. This is not typically what the average person can do.. and I can’t deal with being limited to only a couple of weeks here and there. While it’s true, you don’t HAVE to be single, but from my experience traveling th…

I was engaged 2x in my early 20s, while also being very driven to achieve my goals. If I could tell my younger self something, it would be to have stayed single and done some solo traveling / backpacking instead. Looking back, the fact that neither of my relationships ended up in marriage was the biggest blessing that could have ever happened to me. It was the norm generations before to get married young, but we don’t have to follow those same standards like mindless sheep just because that’s ho…

This is so dumb that I could barely get through the post. I’ll echo what others have said- I wouldn’t pay anything. I’d prefer to stay as far away as possible from creepy, borderline stalker dusties that would use a db like that as possible.

This is very interesting. I don’t find this to be a lie. I have had 2 relationships in my early 20s with guys who were both 6 months younger than me. A couple of years ago, I had a fling with a 52 year old man and then a 1 year casual relationship with a 48 year old. I am 30 now. I think it’s very relevant to point out that the older men I dated are in Dubai, where standards for both men and women are far higher than in the US. Men of all ages take very good care of their appearance, health etc.…

There are plenty of people happy to jump through the so awfully tedious hoops of buying condom or other form of protection to engage in casual sex. The problem however, is that not enough young people are taught the consequences of sex including the fact that contraception isn’t 100%. Your original question states “by your 30s you should ideally be done having kids,” which assumes one even wants kids in the first place. That was the very mindset I was calling out. I didn’t argue that you aren’t …

Or maybe we are below replacement age because we woke tf up and realize some of us want more from life and our energetic youthful days than to “wake up at night to your crying child.” No thanks. Plus $$$. Not everyone is interested in being an incubator, being financially drained and not to mention, what a female’s body goes through during and post pregnancy. Another big no thanks. Regarding the casual relationships portion of your question. Again, a life long partner or marriage isn’t and shoul…
