I'm late as hell to this post, but I think it's unfair of you to assume it's only ever paranoia. No one knows AT ALL if that particular woman has had issues with the male gender at her home, or her past experiences. Come on now. Women being nervous around men isn't solely based on paranoia. Let's not forget that women being abused by men throughout their life ACTUALLY happens to some of them. Yikes.

Yes I was extremely confused as well. These people went to meet with someone they thought were children to engage in sexual activity.... And people are upset? I'm confused what the gripe is here. PD can be corrupt, no doubt. But these people were willing and ready to engage in sexual activity with someone they believed to be a 13 year old girl. Give me a break. There should be zero empathy for pedophiles, male or female.

They normally take civil cases. Also a lot of them have a directory for cases such as the one you describe. They may not all turn out to be Pro bono, but they charge much much less. Indeed. I feel that it hasn't been until recently that there has been more life sentencing *without* parole for rape against women. The main one popping into my head would be the one against the physician that saw to gymnasts. That was also a more high profiled case as well though. Sentencing all around should be more concise though regardless of the sex of the offender

Saying "Men don't rape MORE than women" is one thing. Completely turning it on its head and claiming "Women rape MORE than men" (as you did in on of your other responses), is a completely different thing. So perhaps I'm not sure of your true statement that you're trying to convey here?

I even stated that I wasn't going to further the conversation. If I chose to further the conversation and have an agreed upon civil discourse, then I would have been happy to provide gathered credible sources for both viewpoints and go on from there. Making an initial response based on ones first reaction to something they find peculiar doesn't make them "full of shit".
