I would be documenting that mess with pictures.

You really need to treat this like a death. That is what I had to do. In a way, it is a death. The person you thought you married is gone. Read about the Stages of Grief and you will be shocked that it's pretty much what you are feeling right now. It's a tough pill to choke down, especially when you see them out and about and cavorting around like they are having the best time. You are only three months in. That is still a raw, still scabbing over wound. It's gonna take time. You're gonna need s…

You're dealing with the Sunk Cost Fallacy as well. Very normal. You didn't do anything wrong. Clearly she was planning to do this at some point soon. Asking you for the bill info the day after she dropped this bomb on you makes it quite clear. And I will guarantee she's got some dude waiting in the wings already. Her chilly attitude points to that as well. They never pull this unless they have another option. One small consolation is that you have no bio children with her, so no nasty custody ba…

They never seem to have enough clothes. Or shoes. Or purses. Or enough useless shit.

My biggest shock was that I actually have MONEY again. Money...like...the kind you get to spend!

I think Covid really did a number on a lot of people's minds. The prospect of us all possibly dying made some wonder, am I doing the right thing? Is this person I am with really the best I can do? Am I settling? I want more adventure rather than security. The grass on the other side really does seem greener when viewed from that perspective. Sadly, I see more women than men do this. Not sure why.

Block her number. But first I would tell her that her daughter is not your problem anymore, and you could care less. I would also tell her to fuck off, but I enjoy being petty.

Once she hooks some poor fucker and locks him down that glow up is gonna fade fast. All of them do this when they are on the prowl for fresh meat. Your glow up is in your hands now. Let yourself hurt. Allow yourself to wallow. Allow yourself to mourn the passing of that part of your life, because you ARE experiencing a death of sorts. Don't let her win. Get in shape. Get a hobby. Get busy.

Mine did this. My take: She was and has been cheating. Whoever she was monkeybranching with noped out on her and kicked her to the curb. Now she is coming crawling back to you for support. This will continue until she finds the next dude to monkey branch to, and this WILL happen. She wants you to be her emotional tampon and a source of comfort for HER. She already tried to vilify and destroy you. Remember that. I would start recording her. Save any texts or emails. Tell her firmly, politely, you…

You're her backup plan. She wants you to orbit her forever while she goes out and does whatever she pleases. I guaranfuckingtee you drop this girl you are seeing and you will see your ex waltz right on back out. She wants to see how fast her puppet will dance whenever she pulls the strings. See, it's about power with them. Not love. They only understand and care about their needs. Their dreams. You are just a bridge between what they want and what they have. Respect yourself. EDIT: Bud, in my ho…

They are ruled by the dopamine drip of immediate gratification. Hence why they are constantly fucking their phones. Stupified by TikTok...etc.

Yeah this recent "nice-guy" shaming trend is insane. I was brought up to be a nice guy. Respectful, attentive, loving. Now if you identify as such you're not genuine apparently. To me, a nice guy always meant to be a stand up guy. Not a weakling. Not a simp. But now... We have been lied to as men. All of our lives.

I was twenty-five years into my marriage, thirty overall. All it took was some flirting with a boyfriend from high school whom she hadn't seen since she was fifteen. I bullshit you not.

It's frightening, frankly, to see how quickly women can disassociate themselves from the life they shared with you once they have decided they want something else. You rarely, if ever, see men do this. I wonder why that is? I am both grateful and appalled my sons got to witness this firsthand. I doubt either of them will ever view a woman without some degree of suspicion.

This might sound weird, but fuck it. I had a sort of a funeral service for my wedding ring. I went out with some friends into the woods, dug a hole with a ring of stones around it. Buried the ring deep in the ground. Wrote a letter to the person who used to be my wife, read it, burned it, then let the wind take it away. Covered the hole. Drank some beers with my friends and called it a day. It did wonders for me.

The really sad part is a lot of these women are still married but have bullied their husbands into total submission. Very sad and frightening.

Mine now tells me she's spending all this time reconnecting with friends and living her best life, like WTF are you talking about, I never controlled your ability to see friends, we had two kids under 4, of course it was hard to do anything social, especially when the younger one was sick all the time, but still, somehow my fault and I supressed her. Mine tried this. Nobody that mattered believed her thank God. Just her little harpy girlfriends, most of whom are figuring out this single woman at…

Heheheh....same. Mine was 45. When they, out of the blue, go for the face piercings, dayglo hair and getting tattoo sleeves you know what's up. Thank you flavor of the month feminism.

Oh lord, don't get me started on the "you go girl" crowd. That almost hurt me as much as my wife's cheating. All of these women I had known since we were teenagers. Women I considered friends. Turned on me like a host of snakes overnight,

What is it with these women and guys like this? Always a fucktard with no job, been in prison, lives with parents. It's like a bad script. It was totally my scenario.

A dark part of me looks forward to when it all comes crashing down. Oh, and it will. Trust me. Once the dopamine subsides and reality like bills and work and everyday shit creeps in, the shiny daydream she's drifting around in ain't gonna be so shiny. She will want her rock back. Her Mr. Reliable. At least until someone else tickles her in those same places. Then you will be right back here again. Sometimes it's better when they just move on. You don't have to do the whole pick me dance bullshit…

I am a vindicative, petty asshole at the moment (geee...wonder how that happened), so part of me is struggling to understand why you won't out her. But that's not what you are asking. I personally, if feasible, would find another gym, preferably in a new town where you run zero risks of running into anyone you know. Great way to meet new folks. No baggage. Like a fresh start, you know? I know some people might criticize this take as "letting them win". I see it as self-preservation, which is wha…

I get ya man. Respect you for taking the high road there. But the high road, sadly, rarely works out for men. But all the best to you. You deserve better and if you stay the course I have no doubt you will thrive.

It's frankly frightening to see how easily some women are swayed and controlled by social media. I mean, it's like they are all one TikTok away from burning everyone's lives, even the lives of their children, right down to the dirt.

You're not purposely blowing up a family. You are gifting this woman with the freedom to make an informed choice about the future for both her and her child. Wouldn't you want someone to tell you?

Ah, the old ILYBNILWY spiel Translation: I want to fuck other men, but keep you as my rock in case my monkey branching fails. Oh, and you get to support my infidelity. This is your future. Play dumb. Lawyer up. Nuke this hag.

In my experience, yes, most of the women I have encountered are indeed like this. They are all juggling guys. Or, they just swipe or Like as many men as possible just to see how many guys will give them attention with zero intention of ever going out with any of them. In one case, I found out one of them was married. She slipped up and mentioned her husband. Also get a lot of them making plans with me, then asking me to CashApp them 20 bucks for gas. Like, really?

Nah...don't do it. Just be done. These things never work out. My best friend and even my own father went through this. It was a fucking mess for both of them, and they ended up getting the short end of the stick of course, as usual. I am going to deviate a bit from the others. There is an emotional aspect to this. What she is also saying here, in addiition to trying to rip you off, is code for I want you around to be my rock and emotional support when I need you. But I will want to fuck other pe…

First: It's okay to be anxious. Your world got turned upside down and dumped its contents all over your head. Your life is scattered. Allow yourself to be scared and upset. This will go on for a while, more than likely. Second: The good news is, there is help. You need to first realize and ACCEPT you can only control the things you can. Put out one fire at a time. There is no shame in getting on medication or taking the therapy route. I had to. It helped a lot once I got over the stupid stigma o…

All they care about is satisfying themselves. It's frankly terrifying to watch. It's like all of the years together and they just flick a switch and it's all over in minutes. Like you never existed. Total sociopaths.

The ONLY thing that saved my ass was that she made a lot more money than I did. So she wasn't able to gut me in court. But looking back now I would have NEVER, and I mean NEVER have got married if I could have looked in the future. I mean, I love my two kiddos. I adore them, and I wouldn't wish them away. But god, the unhappiness nearly killed me, and I lost so much time I could have spent possibly being truly happy. I am 51 now. I don't date. I won't date. I spend my time alone or with my kids,…
