ITT: people too stupid to know the difference between nouns and pronouns

My god you people are boring. You’d think all that extra time you have on your hands (y’know, the time others spend with their loved ones?) would give you time to come up with wittier responses, but evidently not. Oh well. You wouldn’t be hate-nerds if you were capable of being anything better.

This sub reminds me of /r/incels. The tone is the same, the content is similar, and I suspect the community is largely the same people. I understand that it’s upsetting to hear that comparison, but why would you expect people to stop making it when the similarities are so painfully obvious? If you’re tired of being told this sub is the new /r/incels, change your shit sub. You won’t get anywhere whining at people that you’d like them to stop hurting your feelings by saying the truth.

Ha! You know you hit a nerve when a sub’s mods feel the need to jump in and defend their honor. Reminds me of the old /r/incels days.

Buddy! Why so cold? Ever thought that this might be part of the source of your unfuckability? If you were a bit friendlier toward people, you might not even need to be a Trump supporter!

Hey bud, I'm just trying to make sure you're doing ok! I know that life is hard for incels, particularly after your clubhouse got banned. It looks like you've found kindred spirits in the alt-right subs and I'm glad for you, so I'd wanted to make a bit of small talk about how neat it was that you'd found communities filled with others like you where you could be incelish together. There's no need to be shy or hostile! There's no shame in having been rejected by every prospective sexual partner y…

What, you don't like anime? I wonder if anyone else in your communities might appreciate animu instead... Based_Brit told me that calling him a furry is "part of their smear campaign," and that he only wanted an anime channel on Centipede Central in order to sequester it away from the more serious chat channels: "If you look at the subreddit the_donald, there are a lot of right winger gamers—it's a common theme—of people who like anime. Personally, I have no issue with it," he said.
/r/PussyPassDenied01/02/18 05:19 PM

But we're having such a lovely chat! So, do you feel that you've found a better home for yourself now that your previous favorite sub got banned? Would you say that the alt-right is welcoming to restless incels?

Regular commenter in /r/pussypassdenied, /r/the_donald, and /r/uncensored news. Y'know, /r/incels's sister subs. And you write the same way they did. Are you a refugee from /r/incels?
/r/PussyPassDenied01/02/18 05:03 PM

Over-saturated? If people tell you that you're like /r/incels frequently enough for you to feel that insult is overused, is it possible that this tells you anything about your speech and behavior?

Accomplishes nothing with his life Wants to feel like he's accomplished something Pretends that the accomplishments of other, better men should somehow be credited to him Man, the crossover between here and /r/mgtow must be incredible.

Pffffft So today we learned two things: The mods of this safespace got enough reports to get personally involved when a visiting normal person hurt the local bottom-dwellers' feelings, thus demonstrating how fragile regressives are and surprising absolutely no one. and Your standards for your own behavior are so unbelievably low that you think it's a worthy source of pride to not ban people giving you the one thing you crave above all others: attention. And somehow you think that your generosity…

Well I'm not a whiny suburban white boy, so I'm not welcome here in the first place. But you do you boo; I'm sure you'll be happier stuck here with your fellow dregs anyway, and everyone else will be happier with you stuck here as well.

You mean that when you spend time in communities devoted solely to acting like assholes, other people expect you to act like an asshole and preemptively ignore you? The INJUSTICE OF IT ALL!! People should avoid your obvious red flags and let you shit on them anyway!

Intellectualism means facts which are considerate of my feelings And MRAs wonder why everyone laughs at their movement.
/r/MensRights19/07/17 05:27 PM

It's not my job to educate you, that's what college is for. Like, say, for example, the college class that OP was instinctively attacking out of hurt feelings and anti-intellectualism.
/r/MensRights19/07/17 05:07 PM
-11

It takes a special kind of stupid to get offended by the obvious. And it takes an incredible degree of delicacy to compare "people teaching facts that hurt my feelings" to goddamn Stalinism. So, I guess this content fits in perfectly here.

TRP, why do you think TBP is a hate group? (Mod) Because it's a hate group. And people wonder why PPD is trash.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/17 01:21 PM

Literally at the end of OP's post: So RP where does this belief stem from? How have we TBPers expressed that we hate masculinity? Did you not even read it before automatically engaging in the usual circlejerk?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/17 01:15 PM
8

TBP is a hate group. They hate women, they hate men, they hate logic, they hate arguments. No supporting evidence, no elaboration, nothing except flat statements of your feelings as if they should be taken seriously on their own. That's the usual TRP circlejerk, but OP was asking for a little more than just "TBP bad, they do misogyny not me".
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/17 01:11 PM

Circlejerks are for the automod.

This guy's a mod here, flagrantly breaking the sub's rules. And people wonder why PPD is a joke. EDIT: Haha, gotta love that non-apology! Apparently my comment was just too honest (even though bloopers hurt my feelings too!), so here (sic) the nice version of it: exactly the same comment as before, but inserting the magic phrase "in my opinion"
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/17 01:06 PM
1

This all assumes that TRP is true and that there are such things as "female nature" and "male nature". It's fine if you believe all that crap, but wouldn't this post be better suited for a forum where that's all already accepted without question (TRP, MGTOW, Incels) instead of one for debating the very premises you took for granted?

Nah, just don't be mono. 2: Does a relationship’s sexual opportunity-cost to a given individual rise as that person’s SMV rises? Nah. Just don't be mono. 3: What do you think are the major non-sexual opportunity-costs that an LTR imposes on an individual? Time, duh. Random idiot in the comments misses the point and publicizes their ignorance = BTFO? I guess when you have as few victories as MRAs do today, you've gotta take what you can get. /r/MensRights04/07/17 12:52 PM

Nope and maybe. Your second question is open enough to interpretation that a simple response would be meaningless. I'm strongly antitheistic and think that no values exist beyond those that are created by sapient minds. However human beings evolved as social creatures and human morals evolved to enable social living; morality might not derive from universal truths, but broad moral truths are objective (are true outside of the beliefs of the observer) and empirical (can be determined through obse…

Slightly puzzled, mostly indifferent. I don't know how you're using the word or if you know what it means, and I don't really care what you do with an opportunity for growth. All I can do is try to help you have one, and I already did that part. The rest is solely up to (and about) you.

If you were to label the ideology it pushes, what would you call it? I don't think it pushes an ideology. It's just an accounting of the Russian prison and concentration camp system of the past century. The author himself is Christian and has some odd ideas about gender and the value of Christianity, but that's pretty easily ignored since most of the stories aren't about him at all. It contains a lot that can lead you to value civic responsibility, empathy, freedom and what one does with it, and…

Current one. We've only recently started becoming something sort of like a consent-oriented society. Still have a long way to go before most people's behavior isn't ethically repugnant, but at least we're broadly trending in the right direction.

That stupid motherfucker. Talk about missing the point. If it were easy to summarize or explain, I would just point you to that instead. Read the book, there's a lot of value there. It was pretty formative for me, I reread it once every other year or so. You define yourself as outside of all groups because you "understand them all" and are therefore superior to everyone small-minded enough to choose a moral position or make a value-judgment about others' behavior. I know that's an emotionally re…

If you did, you'd say something like, masculinity is a thing, That would require that I agree that masculinity is a useful concept though. Do you understand that someone can understand a concept, and think it's useless? Like the idea of Platonic forms or whatever they're called. we can't define your masculinity in yourself. ? It's weird how you feel that your beliefs are entitled to special treatment from me. I treated your cult the same way I treat most belief systems I've encountered: I asked questions of its members, read some of their discussions, asked for a recommendation on a nice primer on the belief system, and read enough to be confident in my opinion of it. It just so happens that you don't like the conclusion I came to, so you're reacting emotionally to it and demanding special treatment. You're not a wom…

Yup, society's out to get you. Joke's on you though, I've already noted your username and identity and have you logged down as an enemy of the fempire. Remember this conversation next time you're denied a job for being a white male! It was all because you argued against feminism on the internet.

I'm an enemy to every side. And yet... You refuse to even read a book, that is loving of both men and women, and humanity too. Do you understand why I don't put any stock in your self-assessment? I'd rather judge you by your behavior than by how you choose to describe yourself. What was that TRP saying, something about "look at what she does, not what she says"?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/06/17 08:07 PM
1

If you ignore reality and assume that feminism is the mirror of TRP, sure. But what you call "feminist", most people just call "normal". And "normal" isn't aimed at lost young women, it's just taken for granted by almost everybody.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/06/17 08:05 PM

When you cannot even give equal chance to other's opinions and views? Your conclusion is that I must not have given TRP's beliefs "an equal chance", since I so clearly have no respect for them? How would you respond to this alternate theory: that I have given TRP's beliefs "an equal chance", and that is why I have no respect for them?

You seem pretty upset there, bud. Which is kind of my point: MRAs get very upset at the thought of rapists facing consequences for being rapists. That's a bit telling, don't you think?

Depends on the intent with which it was said. Good if intended as a compliment, bad if intended as an insult. I'm looking at 82 comments discussing the question "is being called attractive good". Jesus christ reddit.

Well, I just read that title and noped out. I read maybe a third of the Book of Pook once, to humor an occasionally-witty redpiller. It said some obvious (and universally-applicable) things, some gross (dehumanizing anyone the author wanted to fuck) things, and many stupid (empirically false and falsifiable) things. I was pretty done after that. I'm not a good recruit, sorry. Too much life experience to be impressed by simple explanations, and too far outside the mean for my gender to care about…

I think that "equality" doesn't mean much of anything, never did, and isn't really worth talking about. Feels lovely doesn't it? I think I'm supposed to feel upset because you denied a concept you've assumed is core to my world-view, just like I denied one that's core to yours? Except it's silly to deny the utility of "equality", since its meaning is so widely agreed-upon and it's part of so many political and value systems. Meanwhile, no two people will agree on what "masculinity" means, and ev…

Let's see: An ideology aimed at young men feeling lost, dissatisfied, and looking for answers to their questions about society and their role in it. These young men are then provided simple answers to everything that's always confused them and encouraged to view everything "through a RP lens". It's not going to be surprising when many of these kids start viewing everything through a redpill lens. And it's not even about their being idiots, this is a perfectly normal human response. I was applying international political theory to interpersonal dynamics, That's not a phrase I expected to read today. If you're thinking in terms of soft power and hard power, just call them "soft power" and "hard power". Attaching them to words meaning "associated with this gender" and "associated with that gender" doesn't add value to those concepts, and it'll inevitably introduce biases in how you think about situations.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/06/17 07:24 PM

Are you also offended by the thought of false-rape-accusers facing consequences outside of court? After all, this subreddit frequently posts articles sharing these people's names and faces. Do you object when those are posted and comment saying you don't need to be a part of any pre-trial witch hunts?
/r/MensRights23/06/17 07:16 PM
-21

You're offended because rapists will face consequences in court? I envy your naive faith in the efficacy of our legal system, but that aside, why is the thought that rapists might face social consequences for being rapists painful to you?

As far as discussing problematic social issues, kyriarchy and intersectionality are more helpful than trying to break things down into gender essentialism. These concepts are descriptive instead of the prescriptive beliefs espoused by TRP, and that trait is helpful when trying to discuss how the world works and why it works that way. Incidentally, I know that followers of TRP deny that their beliefs are prescriptive, but "What are all men like?" turns into "All men are like this" which, when con…

I don't think I'd agree, except somewhat for "role models". Having people you admire and want to emulate is great; it lets you see what various traits and values look like from the outside, and if you like how "honesty" or "consideration" look on someone else, then odds are that you'll like how they look on you too. Having people trying to teach you how to be like them ("Mentors, guides, [...], leads,,")...nah. The goal is to learn who you want to be, not to find dudes eager to turn you into cop…

Does that mean that you've got, like, a triple-point multiplier on your virginity? Pretty sure if anyone ever does end up destroying that bad boy, they'll immediately be AMOG, DGAF, AF, TRP, and, um...QED. That's just science baby.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/06/17 02:29 PM

Isn't this "confirmation bias: the post" though? You leave no way for the people who really don't care about gender roles to be visible at all. Will you then be surprised when the comments overwhelmingly say they love gender roles and need their partners to adhere to them?

How do you find your genuine identity and vibe and become more true to yourself? By figuring out what you like, what you want, and who you want to be. It's just introspection and self-assessment, followed by honest effort to achieve your goals and grow into a person you can respect. It helps if your goals aren't all externally-focused, too. Which definition of rape are we going by here? And this would be the reason why men need more education about what is and isn't rape. It'd help sort out all this confusion you're experiencing! Sexual violence, like all other forms of violence, is not exclusively male perpetrators and female victims, and it's extremely disingenuous to suggest that it is. ...ok? Seems kind of off-topic, but that's fine. No, rape is not exclusive to men. Nobody said it was. Now that that's settled, can we get back …

Except that rape really is endemic among men. And funnily enough, most men who admit to behavior that is rape, also believe they would never rape. So the natural conclusion is that men who rape frequently don't know that what they're doing is rape, and wouldn't do it if they knew. Why are you so opposed to preventing rape?

Typically normal people ("blue pills") object to spaces like this because they serve to radicalize lost young men. Rejection is hard. Not knowing where you fit into the world is hard. Feeling unattractive or undesirable (and maybe being unattractive and undesirable) are hard. None of that is aided through reinforcement. ...you've never listened to any of the feminists who've condescended to speak with you, huh?

You are sitting there making wild claims about how the MRA is teaching men to be abusive and rapists. I know that this is NOT a part of the MRA philosophy, but many feminist are TOLD by other feminist that it is. Or, alternatively, we just visit /r/theredpill, /r/mgtow, , /r/incels, /r/pussypassdenied, and all the other lovely manosphere subs and reach that conclusion all on our own. You, and many others, are afraid of seeing your enemy as humans worthy of empathy, so you instead try to paint th…

If both groups are about equality, And there's your problem. Both groups are not about equality. One group is about trying to create quality, and one group is about trying to hold on to unfair advantages and being bitter that they're being taken away. There's not a lot for the two groups to say to each other; the fact that MRAs try to self-brand as being about equality just adds insult to injury. We should, but whenever a feminist starts seeing a MRA as a human and not scum, they are excommunica…

Most members of the manosphere are misogynists, yes. There are the occasional misinformed egalitarians who hear the hype and start out believing that the movement is about equality and fairness, but spending any amount of time reading all the woman-bashing and gender-essentialist tripe in these communities tends to set those people straight and they leave. I neither know nor care what fraction of manosphere types (outside of /r/incels, /r/mgtow and /r/theredpill, obviously) are virgins. It's not…

Smart lady. The manosphere is always a good market to sell to; lots of bored, lonely men seeking validation of their misogyny in here. It's a shame that she felt she had to sell out this badly, but hey, I don't know how much her rent is.

That wasn't SRD, that was The Daily Beast. SRD just posted about the article and laughed at the confirmation of what we all knew about the "superior males" over at TRP. And, of course, the fine people of New Hampshire have a right to know the true views and intentions of one of their representatives. Since when is tying someone to the things they say and believe "a smear campaign"? Can accurately reporting someone's words and views be a smear?

Man, there's a lot to unpack in there. "If you aren't part of my community you can't know anything about us" "Intellectual speech is bad" "Intellectualism is a cult" "Western values are bad" ...did I miss anything? It's really astounding how much you managed to communicate with only a couple dozen words. What a shame that none of it spoke well of you.

And you guys fall for the most asinine sorts of click-bait. Like, say, the OP.

It's fairly ironic how much the misogynists here fall over themselves to signal-boost whenever a woman supports their ideology.

Not wanting your opinion on women's reproductive health isn't discrimination, it's common sense. You wouldn't want the opinion of someone with a vagina on proper ball-tucking technique, would you?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
