The democrats are considered centre left almost exclusively in North American and Western European countries. Most other countries, they’re far left.

Did you know there are countries outside of North America and Western Europe?
/r/MensRights07/11/24 05:47 AM

Wouldn’t that reward countries for drafting men. Because then when the enemy killed their conscripts they could point to casualty figures and say “look, the UN says our enemy is killing civilians”.

My comment history most definitely does not say I’m a socialist. Wtf are you talking about? If anything I lean right wing. But it’s not socialism to support shelters for abused people. Also petitioning the government to intervene to protect your real estate investments is not exactly free market capitalism is it?

So what you want to pay more property tax? Own your home and stay in it and you don’t need the value to increase. If you value making a profit on a housing investment more than people’s lives you’re just greedy.

Pretty sure getting a bunch of your men killed in a pointless war is not strong.

Well there must be something that protects him from charges no? Because it’s virtually impossible to conclusively determine whether someone is 18 if they lie to you. How can they enforce a law that is impossible to follow? Maybe it’s not called reasonable person standard but I was basing it on this news article: https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/2023/05/11/matt-araiza-nfl-punter-rape-case-woman-discuss-details/70202116007/# But a suspect is not guilty of this crime if he reasonably belie…

Well dang, I guess you know more about the law than the San Diego district attorney. Maybe you should become a judge. Quite clearly there is some sort of exception for these cases because they declined to press charges even though he admitted to the “crime”. But a suspect is not guilty of this crime if he reasonably believed the woman was 18 or older, according to the law. Araiza said he believed she was 18. Ewaliko and Leonard were 18 at the time of their encounters with her. https://www.usatod…

It’s not statutory rape if you have reason to believe they’re 18. Which he did because she lied to him and lied to get into the party that they were at. It’s called reasonable person standard. Now stop spreading lies to shit on an innocent man’s reputation.

What are you talking about? Nobody is complaining that women won’t have sex with them. They’re complaining that people are just throwing “incel” out as an insult when they don’t have a legitimate argument. What we do consider oppression is men facing 60% longer prison sentences for the same crimes. Gendered scholarships being almost exclusively offered to women despite them already being the majority in universities. Definitions of rape that do not allow for a man to be raped under the law. All …

“Guys I’ve realized that the whole world can’t be explained but a single theory. I’m so smart!” News flash buddy. We live in the real world. Where it actually matters who wins and loses wars. So yes, there is generally a good, or at least better side in most conflicts. In this case I personally would say it’s the democratic country who didn’t invade its neighbour.
/r/MensRights07/07/23 10:30 PM

“It has nothing to do with realism theory” Immediately explains a classic realist worldview If you’re going to talk geopolitics at least know the name of your theory. You’re acting like you’ve reinvented the wheel when you’re parroting theories created centuries ago. Although admittedly now you’re starting to sound like a constructivist. There is no morality just social constructs. It’s ok to kill whoever you want and nobody can be upset.

Yes Russia warned NATO not to expand East. But Russia doesn’t have the right to dictate the foreign policy of other nations. Those nations voluntarily joined NATO, Ukraine, as your articles note almost begged to join NATO. Why? Because they feared Russian aggression. And who can say those fears weren’t justified?
/r/MensRights07/07/23 07:23 PM
1

Oh god it’s a realist theorist. The entire world is just spheres of influence and there’s no motivation beyond that. And we shouldn’t care about any morality when we discuss our own thoughts on the topic. Ok so America is supporting Ukraine for their own interests. What’s your point? They’re still morally correct and assuming we as people want that, we should support them.
/r/MensRights07/07/23 07:18 PM
1

Is that what America is doing in this case? No. That’s what Russia is doing. Even by your own logic Russia is wrong.
/r/MensRights07/07/23 03:55 PM
2

How about so they can protect their democracy? And their homes from invasion? Russia started a war, threw their own men to their deaths trying to kill Ukranian men and steal their land and somehow that’s Ukraine’s fault? Should we just let Russia invade the whole world? Also in case you didn’t notice, Russia also won’t say how many died because it’s embarrassing. Russian shills have to be the dumbest people alive.
/r/MensRights07/07/23 03:51 PM
2

Ah yes I remember when Ukraine joined NATO. Oh wait they didn’t. Because NATO rejected them. And they should’ve been allowed to join, because if they did they wouldn’t have been invaded. I can’t imagine being so blind that you can look at constant Russian invasions of their neighbours and not understand why countries want to join NATO.
/r/MensRights07/07/23 03:49 PM

Ah yes. America did something bad in the past, therefore Russia can do whatever tf they want today. Dumbass.
/r/MensRights07/07/23 03:22 PM

Tbh I would say the good guys are the ones who aren’t invading a foreign democratic nation. But don’t let logic get in the way of your narrative.
/r/MensRights07/07/23 02:40 PM

Nobody has asked the Syrian people if they want Russian forces there either. It’s a dictatorship proper up by the Russians. If you can’t tell the difference between a military dictatorship and a admittedly imperfect democratic nation then you’re just a moron. Ukraine was invaded and they want to fight for their freedom. And somehow that’s wrong in whatever twisted bullshit reality you’ve invented in your head.
/r/MensRights07/07/23 02:32 PM
3

Bruh are you dumb? Of course proxy warring Russia is benefitting America. Literally everyone knows that. That doesn’t mean it’s ok for Russia to invade a democratic nation.
/r/MensRights07/07/23 02:29 PM

Ah yes, respect is when you throw your men’s lives away invading a neighbouring country. Russia invaded Ukraine, there is no avoiding the war if you’re Ukraine. Gtfo Russian simp.
/r/MensRights07/07/23 02:22 PM

That would be the case if you said the majority of politically affiliated Americans. But you just said “majority of the US” which is both misleading and outright incorrect. If it’s the most but less than half it’s just the largest minority, not a majority.
/r/MensRights06/07/23 07:00 AM

12 million has not been a majority ever since the population of the country passed 24 million… majority means more than half.

Also her party opposed joining NATO until the invasion of Ukraine. After which it got so much popular support that they basically had no choice. The party that just won the election has been pushing to join for a good 20 years. Saying she should get the credit because she just happened to be in office when the war started is absurd.

I think they’re trying to play off of the Arab spring with the “feminist spring” thing. Feminists love to think they’re revolutionaries.
/r/MensRights26/03/23 06:46 PM
20

The truth is, never. Women will sit in a class filled with 60% women and still claim the college system favours men. There is no point at which they will stop and say “this is good enough, we’ve achieved fair women’s rights”. The movement will go on and on and on because feminists want validation and an excuse for their failings beyond just “life is hard”.
/r/MensRights23/03/23 02:45 AM
21

So what exactly is your point? How does that mean men have it better as you claim? How do you envision the majority of men who have done nothing wrong somehow stopping all the criminals from existing? We can’t just snap our fingers and make the criminals disappear because we share a gender with them.
/r/MensRights10/03/23 06:12 AM
20

It’s literally correct though… maybe you should check your facts before going on rants using them as a basis.
/r/MensRights10/03/23 06:09 AM
14

Ah yes, some men do bad things so I’m going to go on rants about a massive group of men who’ve done nothing and get mad when they defend themselves. Because not just letting people blame you and millions of others for things you haven’t done clearly shows that you’re “emotionally dead”. Seems legit.
/r/MensRights10/03/23 06:04 AM

Yeah but on the whole violent crimes are more likely to happen to men… if you include all those crimes (rape, murder, assault etc.).
/r/MensRights10/03/23 05:58 AM

I’m sure it’s very comforting for all the male victims of violent crime that it’s someone of their own gender committing the crime. Because as we all know, assault doesn’t their if you’re the same gender.

The fact that it’s still a functioning car is pretty funny.

I mean… kind of? I know gps was partially invented by a woman (Gladys West). But there were many people working together on the team and most were men. Iirc Gladys wasn’t the leader of the team either. So if you were to make a women’s only car you definitely couldn’t include it there as well. Of course most feminist news articles will entirely credit her and snub all of those men who contributed just as much.

/r/MensRights19/02/23 06:01 PM

Relax man. It’s exceptionally unlikely that there will be a world war. Mutually assured destruction has convinced both sides that there is no value in a world war anymore. Even the rich and powerful don’t stand to gain when there’s going to be ICBMs launched at them.
/r/MensRights19/02/23 05:29 PM

My guy who do you think a world war would be fought against? If one starts it’s either because they attacked the West or the West attacked them. They most definitely have a say.

So because America got mad that the Soviet Union put Nuclear missiles in Cuba 60 years ago, Russia has the right to invade Ukraine today? 99% of the soldiers on both sides of this war weren’t even alive 60 years ago. NATO expansion is only a problem if you intend to invade your neighbours and NATO is the only thing stopping you.
/r/MensRights05/02/23 11:14 PM
1

What is the problem with NATO expansion? Every country who joins NATO voluntarily chooses to join. And even then they can be rejected by NATO. In fact, NATO actually rejected Ukraine’s application. Had they accepted it, Ukraine would never have been invaded. So it’s quite clear that NATO expansion prevents war rather than encouraging it. And how has this war gone for Russia in terms of stopping NATO expansion? Now that they’ve invaded Finland and Sweden have applied to join NATO. So they’ve only…

I understand very well how geopolitics works. I know that nations like Russia are known to throw tantrums over their neighbours exhibiting any degree of independent thought. But I also know that those neighbours have the right to do so. And if someone tries to encroach on those rights then other nations will send aid to prevent those incursions. That’s how geopolitics works.
/r/MensRights05/02/23 07:42 PM

Ah yes, American inspectors who examined Ukrainian weapons stocks and British commandos who evacuated the British embassy in Kyiv. So basically you’re confirming my point that no NATO troops are actually fighting in the country. This is what happens when you just cherry pick news headlines and don’t read the articles.

Australia doesn’t have a domestic fighter jet or submarine industry. They literally have to buy them from overseas. The f-35 is the most capable plane being offered, why wouldn’t they take it? Apparently wanting good tech makes you an American puppet now lmao.

Yeah and no invasion was part of the agreement Russia made with Ukraine when Ukraine gave up their nuclear weapons. And now guess what? Russia is invading and thousands of men are dying every month as a result. And you support that.

Your bringing up Texas now? A state that was annexed in 1845? Way to expose that you’re grasping for straws. America entered those countries who were all dictatorships that oppressed their own citizens and those of other countries. In fact, America repeatedly tried to install independent and democratic systems of government there, though these efforts largely failed. Can you say the sam…

Ah yes, the Russian dictatorship supports the Syrian dictatorship. What a surprise. When did Ukraine ask for Russia to invade them? I don’t recall seeing that on the news. And in none of these counties did America attempt to annex the land as their own, which is what Russia is doing in Ukraine. But even if all these actions by America were bad, you still haven’t explained how that justifies Russia invading Ukraine. You’ve just said “what about America”. Who cares about America? This is Ukraine’s…

They conquered Western Europe? Are you referring to ww2? Because Nazi Germany literally declared war on the United States first. Japan was the exact same case. The Japanese attacked and killed thousands of Americans at Pearl harbour to start that war. North Korea invaded the American ally of South Korea. As for Australia I cannot find a single American war to conquer them, so you’re clearly just pulling this out of your ass. And as a Canadian I’m quite certain America didn’t conquer us.

What are you talking about? Ukraine refused the peace settlement that would’ve given up vast chunks of their territory. The US and NATO have repeatedly made clear that any peace deals will be made fully at Ukraine’s discretion. So if you want Ukraine to be allowed to chose you should be supporting their right to resist against Russian attacks.
/r/MensRights05/02/23 08:02 AM

Provoking them how? By giving them weapons to defend their country? Against a nation who has repeatedly demonstrated hostile intent since their first invasion in 2014. Ukraine is an independent nation. Russia cannot just invade them because they’re mad that America exists.

Ah yes Korea, where the South Koreans constantly ask for more American help to protect themselves. Syria, where the Russians have far more troops stationed than the Americans. Afghanistan, Iraq and Vietnam which are almost universally condemned by the American people. So why aren’t the Russians condemning Putin’s invasion of Ukraine? The fact that America has done bad things in the past does not justify an invasion of a sovereign nation like Ukraine. And yes, America can supply weapons without c…

Why is NATO’s involvement in Ukraine a problem? First of all no NATO troops are actually fighting in the country. Secondly, NATO rejected Ukraine’s last application to join the alliance. It’s Russia who invaded Ukraine, all Nato has done is sell some weapons to the Ukrainian defenders. No real Men’s rights advocate would advocate for a warmonger like Putin who throws away men’s lives in unjustified invasions.
/r/MensRights05/02/23 07:50 AM

Uh… they’re doing nothing really? Selling them some weapons? I didn’t know that having a military that uses modern weapons was illegal now. Please explain how Ukraine buying weapons for their military justifies Russia invading them.

Sounds like you don’t hate feminism at all. You just hate the West. Let’s get the facts straight. Russia invaded Ukraine, not the other way around. It is Russia who is very clearly the aggressor. This isn’t Iraq. The Americans are selling weapons to a nation that is defending themselves, the Russians are invading a sovereign state. If you want to complain about feminism in the Ukraine war complain about the male only draft, or feminists claiming that women have borne the brunt of the war. Don’t …

Yeah this just reads like a statement ripped straight off of Russian state media. Russia has no right to dictate who America gives things to. Ukraine requested weapons from them. Apparently you think 40 million people deserve to be conquered and annexed because a country with 6000 nuclear weapons didn’t feel safe enough. You claim to be a men’s rights…

If your roommate could demonstrate that you were in a romantic relationship, then probably. But most people aren’t in a romantic relationship with their roommates. In the case of a common law spouse there would presumably be texts, photos and witnesses who could easily show that you were in a romantic relationship while living together. Plus your own word, unless you intended to lie about it.

There’s plenty of good counterarguments already commented. But honestly I would ask, “what’s your point?” It’s such a random and ridiculous hypothetical. Maybe they could restore society and fill the critical roles eventually if all men disappeared. But who cares? We live in a world where there are 2 genders and in this world men are drawing the short straw. Unless they’re advocating for genocide that argument is completely meaningless. It doesn’t give justification to any real world policy.

It’s called self-serving bias. Essentially people are more likely to attribute positive outcomes to their own actions and negative outcomes or problems to the actions of others. So when we are struggling we look for someone to blame. In the case of feminists they find the popular and socially acceptable target of “the patriarchy”. Hence they blame it for any failings they suffer. And of course they attribute successes to their own exceptionalism, claiming they had to work extra hard for it. It’s…

When creating incentives for college attendance the goal should be to promote underrepresented groups. Not those who already hold a clear majority within these institutions. The fact that more women go to college than men is not a problem, the fact that they continue to be offered financial incentives to artificially increase their attendance is. Do most people support movements that aren’t aligned with their goals? The issue is that feminist policies often conflict with the pursuit of equal rights for men. For example, feminists are generally against equal custody of children. They also favour scholarships for women when 60% of college students are already women. These policies favour women at the expense of men’s rights, thus I cannot ethically support them.

Asking for a lawyer is also advisable. Even if you can’t afford your own, take the public defender. It’s a lot better than nothing and should at least keep the police in check.

In theory, great. In reality that’s exactly the sort of system that is taken advantage of in the most heavily censored subs.

Do you have a link to the video? I’m kind of curious to see it.

This reminds me of a post I saw about women in Afghanistan being banned from school. (Which is terrible of course). But all the feminists in the comments were complaining about how cowardly the men in the Afghan National Army were because they didn’t stop the Taliban takeover. And how it was their fault because they should’ve protected the women. Even though women were fully allowed to join the army to fight the Taliban and overwhelmingly chose not to.

In general if you have to ask people on the internet if you should marry someone, you probably shouldn’t.

It’s called availability heuristic. If you can call a lot of examples of something happening to mind, then you automatically think it’s likely. Rape stories and warnings and been largely publicized so everyone’s seen a lot of examples and thus thinks it’s much more likely than it statistically is. Essentially it’s a case of human instincts not having adapted to the modern world.

I like what they did in the past in giving women the rights of equality under the law. The actions of feminists in countries with severely restricted women’s rights such as Iran and Saudi Arabia are admirable as well. It’s only really the fourth wave radicals in modern western countries that I take issue with.

If he says he intends to suspend you I would say that you will be contacting a lawyer. Or better yet have one of your parents say that. The threat of it would probably be enough to make them back off.

Fun fact, domestic violence is illegal.

I like how they’re comparing the numbers of law firm partners like you can just graduate law school and immediately become a partner. Anyone becoming a partner now most likely graduated at least 10 years ago. Talk about cherry picking stats to compare.

The feminist movement has momentum and now they can’t stop. Everyone wants something to blame for their problems and to believe that they’re making a difference in fixing it. The fight against the patriarchy is just the manifestation of that for them. A coping mechanism for struggles that have nothing to do with gender.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
