My best friend's so was like this. His ex was difficult to deal with and he had to go across the country to retrieve his things once finalized. He wasn't dating, so had no incentive to do it. Once he was with my friend, he had a reason. He's divorced legally now and they are happily cohabitating.

I joke a lot that the only reason I'd marry again is for Tricare, but it's just a joke.
